It's a hard decision to make, but sometimes the kindest thing to do is to let them go.

Our 15 year old cat, Tiffy, had to be euthanized this morning.

Tiffy was part siamese, and very beautiful. He was a nice cat who always washed other cat's faces. He loved watching the world thru the window. He's been ill for some time, and the vet said there really wasn't any good reason to try to prolong his life. We will miss him very much.

sad I have yet to lose a pet to death. How many cats do you have? Do there appear to be any signs that they notice his departure?

I have five left now. No, they don't seem troubled by his disappearance. He wasn't really close to any of them. He was close to his sister Lily, who died four years ago, and he did notice her vanishing. He went around for several weeks meowing and looking for her.

It's really not a good month for pets, my cat here in Florida had to be put down last week, and my dog up in Rhode Island on the 21st as well crying
