Last night I was talking to a friend who texted me, he said he found some secret service files and a job oppurtunity, because of the job oppurtunity part i assumed he was pulling my leg, well he wasn't. The job oppurtunity was seperate from the reason I am posting this here today.
The first thing that happened is that when I went to call him my phone started making this odd rapid beeping noise that ive never heard before, it creeped me out the first time and I immediately hung up. Well i decided it was just a phone glitch so i called again, same thing, except this time i decided not to hang up thinking it was some f-ed up ringer on his phone. No answer and the beeping noise again, followed by a backround noise that sounded similar to static. Eventually he managed to get through and called me, the first thing he asked was "did you here like a weird beeping noise when you called?" This alone left us creeped out and he told me about these files, while he was doing some very amateur hacking he came across some letters sent to the FBI by a Harold Weisburg voicing his anger at them that several different files concerning the JFK assassination were not released. Now that didnt seem like a big deal to me, but my paranoia has spiked considerably after this whole thing.

How did he get access to them?
Odds are the files aren't really important considering how easily he got them (if he got them easily). Just tell him to stop whatever he's doing unless he wants to be arrested.

When you hear that beeping you're being recorded! Only do things in person especially with files! Use hard copies actual papers.

Just sayin, but if he really did find something, perhaps Gaia isn't at all the best place to discuss sensitive material.

Dude, the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986 ain't nothing to ******** with. If you talked about that over the phone, especially when it was doing that weird beeping, well... If your friend isn't pulling a prank then he might have something to worry about.
