Why was shes so...? Why did this girl look so dejected? Even more why was she sticking around? Even Ray would leave if June yelled like this. It was so confusing. And for some reason seeing her face gave the boy such a weird feeling. Such a weird feeling that he hated it. Almost to the point of him getting angrier (if that could actually happen). He hated it. Hated it. Hated it. Hated it. Absolutely hated it. "Gez... Don't go lookin' so depressed" He said as he relaxed his jaw which was now in pain. This was the worst, to think that even being so visibly upset, Yuri still wanted to hang around him. It's not like June didn't know what he was saying. The boy knew very well what he had been saying to this girl, "And don't go apologizing." Why was he so angry at her anyway? Maybe something about her just ticked him off... That was no reason to be such a jerk though. Though maybe it was because she was too spineless... Yeah! That had to be it. June locked eyes with the girl and gave her a stern look, poking his finger to her chest, "If you wanna' hang around me so bad then just know one thing-" He moved his hand back and crossed his arms, continuing the stare, "If you think I'm being a jerk then tell me, don't just let it happen!" After saying that he felt a bit embarrassed. So he turned around, his arms still crossed. What a troublesome girl.

If Yuri had any confidence in her theory that June was an easy person to predict, that vanished in an instance. All of a sudden his anger seemed to subside and he took a gentler tone. It almost seemed uncharacteristic, until she reminded herself that she had known him all of three hours at the most and frankly had no idea what fell into his character or not. And so she stood there, opening and closing her mouth like a fish, a stupid fish. He wasn't mad at her? For a moment, her stomach flopped. This was his way of accepting her, wasn't it? This was a gesture on his part, saying that he was going to make an effort back? Maybe she was reading too much into it, but for the time being, she was too touched by June's (possibly unintentional) gesture to think that far. "O-Okay!" she clutched the bottom of her skirt and nodded vigorously. "I'll try to be better about it." She spoke quickly and eagerly, her surprised expression broken by a smile. Desperate to not let the moment go to waste, she glanced around the arcade in search of something to distract June before he changed his mind. "Want to play something else? You're good at throwing, right?" she reached out and tugged at his sleeve, moving towards one of the skeetball games. He had lasted pretty long in the Tomato Festival, though Yuri had been so upset that he had used her as a shield that she wasn't really paying attention. But when she left, he was still in the same game, and that was good enough for her.

Good. She had seemed to get the gist of what the boy had said. Whatever he had said. He really just blurted out a bunch of things. It was kind of like the words just rolled of his tongue naturally. It was weird. Whatever the case, Yuri looked like she cheered up a bit. June took pride in the fact that he made her happy (after being the one to make her depressed in the first place). And he would let himself relish in that thought a bit more if it wasn't for the girl now tugging at him. "I guess that's fine" June said to her as they moved over to skeeball. As long as it wasn't another fighting game, he was fine with whatever they played. Plus he had quite a bit of confidence in this game. Most boardwalk type games like this, he liked. The boy was low on quarters though. So he would probably only be able to get a game or two in before having to quit. He had already blown a lot of his allowance already. "Well then lets get started!" June said confidently as he loaded the quarters in and began playing. Of course, he was the best at these kinds of games. OOC: Rolling to see how he plays~

Yuri was so pleased to be on June's good side for what seemed like the first time that she failed to remember that she was terrible at throwing and games like this. Maybe, just maybe, if there were something that relied more on strategy that basic hand-eye coordination, she would do better, but for the time being, she was a gangly, awkward preteen in the beginning stages of puberty, so this couldn't have backfired even more. It seemed that fate had no intentions of her ever impressing this boy with her talent at games, and all there was left was for her to embarrass herself. She had thrown the ball okay, nice and straight, but much too strong. So instead of settling into one of the holes, the ball instead hit the backboard, ricocheting out of the game, and bounced wildly across the floor. Yuri looked like she herself had been hit by the ball, and after gawking at the skeetball game for a moment, she quickly turned on her heel to go retrieve the ball. By the time she returned, her ears were burning red and tears were prickling her eyes. She handed the ball back to June before falling silent. The embarrassment was too much for her to handle, however, and she soon couldn't take it any more. "...I had fun. Thanks." She let out a soft mutter before grabbing hold on the strap of her bag before hurrying out of the arcade as fast as her skinny little legs would carry her. That was one embarrassing moment too many, and she couldn't bear to see his smirk again.

What had just happened was like a blur to the boy. She was the one who suggested playing... Why was she leaving? I mean yeah it sucked that she couldn't do it right the first time, but he wasn't going to tease her for it. Of course at this point the boys thoughts made him a bit hypocritical, but he truly believed he wouldn't tease her for such a thing. And yet, she ran off with barely a word. Leaving June to stand there with the ball she gave him and a dazed look. After he went out of his way to be nice... He should be angry right? That would be the normal response, right? But for some reason, he wasn't. He definitely was feeling something, though it wasn't anger. It felt... He didn't know, but it sucked. It was like the feeling before, but suckier. June sighed as he brought the ball to his face and stared at it for a second. Only to put it into the rack thing of the game and then head towards the exit with a quiet, "Whatever."-Exit June-
