She had to deal with waking up everyday to gang fights, muggers, thieves, and much more. She had never known about her weapon origins, and was quite surprised when her arm turned into a blade (if you call screaming and running around the house like hyper kid on a gallon of sugar surprised). Eventually, her parents pulled her out of the regular school that she was already going to for fear that Charlie might accidentally stab somebody (which she did, but it was only a minor gash) and enrolled her in the DWMA.

Charlie is usually cheerful and energetic. She can't sit still and gets annoyed easily. Her number one weakness is bugs, and if she sees one, Charlie will become frozen, cling onto the nearest person in terror, or faint. The only exception she can make for shoes are sandals and clogs, otherwise she'll refuse to wear shoes.
