red bull leaves

So red bull is leaving nascar for good at the end of the season... I know they have had their struggles but I didn't think they would leave all together... stare ....personally I would try to allign with SHR... that way Stewart will get his big team... Danica will have a ride to come over too..and I think they will be able to get the funding to do it right.

They were just starting to become competitive too. It sucks for the people on the two teams.

this is still uncertain, it really only affects brian vickers and Cole Whitt. both drivers probably could find competitive rides. Cole whitt is a rookie and strongly competing for the truck championship and vickers is a solid driver.

Yeah but unlike Whitt who is just beginning his career... Vickers is kind of at that mid point before the fall off of his career... he needs a stable ride if he wants to really stay in cup for more than a year or 2... and unfortunately...with both Edwards and Bowyer up for grabs... along with old timer Martin... he may not get any decent ride after this red bull deal... those guys will precede him... at the very best he may get a ride in the 6 if BOTH ragan and edwards part ways or... the Front Row 38 ride with Travis barely holding that ride... neither look promising...

This could be a possible opportunity for a few teams. Richard Petty Motorsports comes to mind. There was talk earlier in the year of them expanding to a third team if the right driver and sponsorship came about. Can you imagine how much stronger it would make that team if they had a driver of Vickers' caliber? Heck if they could even acquire a whole team from Red Bull, that would put them in a pretty good spot.

And how about Joe Gibbs Racing? Fourth team anyone?

Bowyer will stay with Childress, i just have that feeling. Edwards i would like to see stay at roush and given his performance i wouldn't see why he would want to go to the dark side and join team toyota. David Ragan is likely out of his seat unless he lights up the world. Roush has two incredible talents with Stenhouse Jr and Trevor Bayne so if edwards did leave along with Ragan, Roush would be able to fill those seats. Rpm has enough room to start another team, there is always the SHR factor, though Danica probably has that spot, you've got Joe Gibbs Racing and you've got Penske that have room to add a team with pending sponsorship.

There are a lot of teams that could use those 2 teams
