It didn't take long for Kago to slip away from Timon and Pumbaa - after all, they were smaller than him, and he was much faster. He chuckled to himself the rest of the day. It was good, getting away for a while. He'd always make his way home, of course, but not before meeting a couple of others and taking a swim in the stream.
Ahhh, the stream! A source of water for all other creatures, and of constant amusement for Kago. His dirty paws created a trail of nastiness that would eventually float down and into another's stomach... Fun fun fun! He loved it, and got himself extra dirty before leaping in. His dirt turned the water brown for a moment, before it was swept away by the new, pure water from the waterfalls on the other side of the jungle.

Leliua tilted her head. An interesting intruder indeed. The leopardess, who had planned on taking a quick drink, hadn't expected to find anyone nearby -her- section of the river. It was rather foolish to consider any place as -hers-, but Leliua didn't really care. She spent most of her time nearby, and so she had claimed it as her own.
Leliua was content with her solitary life, but once in a while, she wished that she had someone to talk to. She wasn't fond of the idea of talking to herself, and since she didn't meet others often, her voice was slightly cracked from lack of use. Sometimes, the silence drove her mad.
But now she had someone to talk to, even if he HAD come to her part of the stream without permission. Leliua padded up to the edge of the stream (she was on the opposite bank from the one that Kago had recently left) and bent her head to take a drink, not saying anything just yet. She needed a moment to shape her words.

Kago didn't notice her approach - he was far too busy splashing about and making a complete fool of himself. When he did notice, he leapt backwards, tripped over a river rock, and fell back-first into the water. He came up spluttering, his head-tuft sticking to his forehead and looking very much like... well... a wet cat.
"Ah! I mean, oh, hi...." He squeaked, then crawled up out of the stream, on the other side of the bank from Leliua. He shook wildly, sending water everywhere. "I, uh... I was just..." He continued, then glanced over at her, lowering his head. It never bothered him when Timon and Pumbaa saw him wet, but this was... it was... a girl! gonk

This strange leopard was the perfect companion for her, Leliua thought to herself. Interesting to watch, and too shy and embarassed to make fun of her own quirks. She smiled at him and twitched her tail. "Hello," she said, her voice slightly raspy (as always). She paused for a moment, trying to think of something else to say. Lei had never been good with words.
"Um... what's your name...?"

"K-Kago..." He replied, tail twitching spazmatically. He tucked it between his back legs, like a dog would if it were... well... scared witless and feeling very vunerable. Which he was. Even though he wasn't a dog. He swallowed, then lowered his head even further.
Just remember... Hakuna matata... Hakuna matata... Oh dear. It's not working. D:
"W-what... What's yours?" He asked, taking a couple of steps towards the stream, then sitting down.
