I'm sure it was created in Gaia's image with an emphasis on role-playing, by Gaian users who were tired of waiting for things like wigs and weapons. 3nodding ]

I don't really like their avatars I love the chibi avi's we have now 3nodding

[I like our chibi-style avatars here on Gaia too, but sometimes it seems like they are so small...

I'd really like to see them a little bigger so if we ever have unlimited layering (or something close), earrings, rings or tattoos or other piercings, they will be visible.

Then again, Gaia is more about the forums than the avatars (or so it seems).]

From what I've seen and read the Gaia of the past is no more. Now it's all about who has the most expensive looking avatar more than the content of their post.

Some people on Gaia are actually trying to petition for forum clean-ups and whatnot. I think that's pointless. I mean, if there are too many rules around posting, people just won't do it.

Hoepfully, things work themselves out. I don't mind everyone being avatar-obsessed; that's their issue. But even worse are the people who are dumb asses when posting. confused ]

That's why I lurk in guilds so much since I don't want to deal with all the people in the main forums. I'm just now starting to post in the GCD again.
