Everyone of the Kaguya was thought to be slaughtered. They were wrong. When the clan attacked Kirigakure, Yukio's mother ran, carrying her child with her. She knew the battle was futile and figured this way, the Kaguya clan can live just a little bit longer. Hiding their foreheads, they tried to blend in with the village until at the age of seven, Yukio's mother was brutally murdered. They were found out. Having the innocent little white haired girl trapped in a corner as the shinobi came to apprehend her, having screamed in terror at her mother's bloody body, her fingers shot like darts to the two that tried to grab her. Having hit their eyes and jugulars, she ran into the street in hopes someone would help as more bones began to sprout from rib cage. Knowing this was probably a bad idea, Yukio tried to hide in a trash bin in hopes they would lose her trail. Too late. But seeing at how she was only seven years old, the leader of this mission decided to adopt her and train her in hopes she will prove to be a great asset to their great village. Even though this man never treated her like a daughter, she was still great-full for his hospitality and respect he gave her. Maybe out of fear or because she was a child, she never understood why, given the fact that her clan tried to annhilate (and failed) his home village.

Because of this, Yukio was always teased and harassed in school. Being taught self control, she just thought their downfalls for later on in their lives and decided she should surpass everyone. Because of this, she graduated with flying colors and awaits her chance to be a chuunin. However, she was never granted to enter for the past two years because her abilities were still unstable and they were afraid Yukio might run away and never come back. Hopefully reassuring them, she promises to come back to the village once she passes the Chuunin exams.

This quality is rare and sought out for, making her a great asset to her team.

Kuriko was at a young age when she discovered her abilities with ice. Having the "demonic" trait of her people, her mother and father quickly hid but her brother never traveled with them. He stayed back with his people, hanging his head in disgrace at his mother and father's actions to save his sister. He swears revenge on his sister for robbing him of his parents, despite his own decisions to stay behind (anyone can apply to be her brother if they ask and are literate enough).

When she researched other users of this technique in the Mist library's records, she discovered a boy named Haku and it described his techniques without explicit detail, but Kuriko had gotten the gist but rarely finds herself to use her Hyouton in public.

But because of her vow, her brother came back with a vengeance and slaughtered her parents. This caused her Hyouton to over turn any control she had and froze her brother in a block of ice. He was dead, probably. Knowing what she did would attract attention, she fled. She traveled far and long until she stumbled into Yukigakure. That's where she was accepted and finished her academy years at, high hopes in becoming a chunin later on when she took the test.

Kuriko had returned to Yukigakure and found it had been assaulted and warred upon, creating a refugee out of she. Following the herd of her fellow villagers, she stumbled upon Kirigakure again. By now, they wouldn't recognize her and she hoped they wouldn't. She had some stares, but no one questioned her origins.

She had eventually unleashed her potential as a kunoichi abd was sought out by the soon-to-be Raikage, Kirin, to be appointed as his new assistant due to her book smarts and strategies. That, and he needed someone competent enough to handle all of the paper work.

Long story short: after being Kirin's assistant for a while and the obvious attraction between them, they fell in "love", got "married", and had a baby that's a year old named Kori. biggrin
