One day at the Scarlet Manor, Patchouli had been having problems with Marisa sneaking in and taking books without permission. Patchouli became worried that she might take some books that are for "Scarlet Devil Manor residense only" and or very secret books. One day, John, the human male who been new to the manor, proposed an idea. He deciced that there should be a restricted section for the library. (an idea John got from one of his Harry Potter books) except that this should be in a 8ft height room and with bars like a jail cell, to prevent unwanted guests from going in it. Both John and Patchouli talked to Remilia and she agreed and the restricted chamber was made. John was taking the turn guarding and caretaking this restricted area while Koakuma attended the rest of the library except when John was out fufilling guild missions.
The next day, John was sorting out some books in the restricted library, although John wasn't allowed to read most of them. That very day, Koakuma walked to the restricted area and wanted to talk to John while he was attending the restricted section, a room that was 8 feet tall and was as big as an outside worlds conference room office which had lined up bookshelves that were at least 6 feet away from the bars, and with a lounging sofa, bed, study desk with an electric fireplace for comfort and looks, and a culdron. John waled to Koakuma and was about to let her in.

Koakuma's daily routine, patrolling and helping around with the mansion, had ended earlier then expected. She wasn't given a answer why, but she knew better not to question her superiors. Although, instead of taking a break; she decided to go to the newly renovated library. Koakuma didn't really enjoy going in, it seemed to frighten her, though if it gets the black-white out of the mansion β anything to keep Patchouli happy.
As Koakuma approached the doors, she notices the human: John. She waves back.

How's everything on your part? I hope Patchouli will feel a bit more secure since we put up this restricted library. I been thinking about going out for awhile. I would also like to have some company too, since going solo get's pretty lonley. Besides, I need to go to the guild center and see if tere's any good guild missions. (and I better not catch Marisa making guild requests to rob this place) I dont want to be the one to tell her close friends about her misbehavior.

"I'm not sure, actually. I was just told to take a break for a while." Koakuma reached towards the table and took empty dishes and cups. Even on break, she finds a special obligation to maintain the Library. She took the dishes onto a tray and called a nameless fairy to move it to the kitchen. "Company, huh?" Koakuma continued cleaning out the library, keeping occasional eye contant with John. "I think I can go with you. Actually I probably can, Patchouli-sama wouldn't mind, would she?" She gently shoved the remaining books on the shelves in an order, not chronologically, but in a order that Patchouli and her could appreciate. She looked around the library, taking extended glances on the bars. "And I'm sure the black-white won't be coming in here... Though that hasn't stopped her before." She sighed, before grabbing her things; which was only a single book: her diary. A present given to her by Patchouli to keep dates, and notes on whatever she pleased. It was black book, intricately designed, but also maintaining a simple design; braided with gold trimmings, with occasional red gems. "If you want, we can go now." She tilted her head slightly, with a slight smile on her face.

Ok. Let's tell her that were going to go out for awhile. I need to grab my spellbook too. (A spellbook with some spells he learned from his past previous journies {not danmaku} and travels) I have some good spells here I like to teach you. I think you may find them usefull at times. I dont know about the white magic, but there's plenty black magic here if you want to look through it?

"Yes, we probably should." Koakuma held up her palms in a gesture similar to touching an invisibile wall. In response came forth out plenty of maids and fairies. "I expect to see you all take care of the library while were gone?" Koakuma didn't put much fate in the fairies, seeing how the black-white keeps entering whether they are they are not. She lectured the fairies what to do should specific events arise. "Anything else happens, tell Sakuya." She returned her attention to John. "Thank you for your offer, though I don't usually learn spells, other than Danmaku, I'm horrible at both. It's probably why not much people would have summoned meβ" Koakuma felt a bit of remorse, but she remembered Patchouli and recovered her happiness. "β but it might help out the library's knowledge, so if you wouldn't mind offering it for a while for me to rewrite a copy."

It's quite alright. I still have much to learn about danmaku myself. Im mainly a master at these types of spells. Their simple but effective. I also have these enchantment spells. As for loaning you the book, sure. Just be careful with it. Now lets go meet Patchouli and let her know what we informed those fairy maids.

Patchouli was silently reading a book and sipping her tea. She enjoyed the silence in the library. It was very peaceful for her. Plus, it kept her from hearing the loud chatter that goes on outside. She stared out the huge window, looking at the sky. Everything seemed to be going by so fast. Every day, it felt as if time was passing her. There was so much to do, but so little time. An assortment of books to read, but not enough time. That was the problem for her. Then again, there was also Marisa. She kept stealing many of her books. "I'll just borrow them, ze~!" That was what she kept saying every time she came. Patchouli scoffed at the thought of her. She will see that she won't be able to steal her books now. For the time being, that is...

"Ah, thank you. I'll be finished with it soon." Koakuma said as she accepted the book, holding it near her diary. "Ah, yes. Patchouli-sama... if you wouldn't mind leading; I'd like to scan over the book first."

"It's fine. Take your time." John said to Koakuma. He remained silent while both Pathouli and Koakuma looked over his book. Then after a moment, John spoke to Patchouli and said "Im letting Koakuma borrow my book. Im trying to teach her some spells of mine I learned from my past travels. Your welcome to learn them too if you like?"

That's quite generous of you, but I don't believe that I can learn them in my current state. I am only into using danmaku. Thank you for the offer, though. She then turned over to Koakuma. Where are we going to right now?

"Um... actually I'm not sure. I'm going with John to the Guild Center. Koakuma said as she lightly skimmed over the book. Feeling satisfied, except for some parts she didn't understand, after skimming over; she closed the book, and paired it with her diary. "Are you sure you would like to go outside? How is your asthma today?

Patchouli shook her head. You're going outside? Well, I don't really wish to go out today... She proceeded to look for another book to read. There really isn't any need to go outside today. She felt a bit weaker than usual. All she wanted right now was something to read. Perhaps something to eat, too. Oh, Koakuma! Would you mind getting me something from the kitchen?

"Ah, yes. Right away." Koakuma said as she placed some of the books in her possession down. "Is there anything in particular you would like to eat, perhaps?" Koakuma started analyzing foods in her mind, which food would Patchouli would ask for; which snack is already accessible, which isn't.

"While Koakuma heads to the kitchen, John wanted to discuss things about his danmaku training, although he mainly uses spellcards of others rather than his own. Although he can use most of Reimu's, Marisa's, Patchouli's, Sakuya's, and Sanae's. He's not good at darkness elemental magic at all. His light element magic is intense and he's very good with the other elemental magic he knows." Patchouli. I was thinking. After I take Koakuma out for a bit of magical training, I was thinking about doing some training myself in the lower Gensokyo. I know I been shot by magic bullets a few times, but I always been able to get back up and recover quickly. I can block bullets too and I feel pretty strong, it's just that I need to work on my timing and mobility. Do you have any suggestions on what I should do?
