Well, the body matched the voice. In Matthias' eyes, their new house guest was a child. True, while he still wasn't quite happy with the arrangement, he did sympathize with him more. "Well, I would tell you to make yourself at home, but seeing as you already have...welcome to our home." A very, very small part of him wanted to know why the boy looked so pained, but the majority of him overwhelmed that little part of him, drowning it out in apathy. It was none of his concern, after all.

"Do you see him?" Loki demanded. "Do you see him? How he's all red and stuff, like a shadow? He's like Kelani, but he feels solid." He walked over and leaned into the other's ear. "That means you can stay," he said. "I can make you a bed, if you like. I don't want you sleeping on the floor, and you can't have my bed. I have a mattress under my bed, for sleepovers and stuff. Since you're our guest--well, you're really a new part of the family, if you're going to stay here forever. But since you're going to stay, you can have it. I have a sleeping bag for you to use and everything."
"And don't worry. I won't let my pets hurt you or anything. My cat might look fierce, but he's really--well." Loki pointed to his Nemean lion cub. "Nice."
