and that may work for some as well..the order they come in could be identical to your flows...if the came in as Cups, Pentacles, Wands, then Swords, the elemental equivelence would be Water, Wind, Earth, Fire. Different decks begin in different orders. Mine is generally Pentacles, Wands, Cups, Swords, with the spirit (personality) cards on top.

Do you have a book that came with them? If you do, it should have the cards meanings in the order that the cards came in.

I have my own set. I'm learning them as I practice which is probably not the best way to do things but meh. I'm not that good at tarot yet. I still can't do it for other people yet and I'm pretty sure mine arn't right. ~Sigh~ Must practice more sweatdrop

Learning while you use them is probably the best way I know of to learn. I can't imagine that it would be bad to practice while you learn.

This is something intresting about the cards.
I have two decks, one my grandfather gave to me and is older than me and a dragon tarrot deck that I bought. For the longest time my grandfather's deck was way more accurate than my dragon deck. Then I moved to Springfield Oregon, which I was told is on the dragon fault line (althought I am not sure what that is), and my dragon tarrot cards didn't just become more accurate, they became spooky dead on about everything. It was almost as though the dragon cards worked better here in springfield.

When I get reading I always trun up the Arcana. At least that's what I've been told they were. Can someone explain what Arcana is and why they are so significant?

It's Springfield Oregon across the street from Eugene Oregon, just so you know Kara9670.

The major arcana reprensent the element of spirit, of the divine, they are not elemental which is why they are so significant.
