I've been working on a contest entry and although the original concept was pretty good, at least I thought so anyway, after coloring it, something about it looks off. Can anyone help me?

For me, I think it has to do with the perspective, her hands and the way it is positioned. My sister thinks the entire pose is wrong as no really stands like that..but I think it's possible. I want to show that she's both fierce as a warrior and an artist.

I have to agree. The proportions are off. The top half (ribbon up) is small and a little dis-proportioned. The angle of the legs seems to be looking at a high perspective which would mean her top half should appear a bit bigger and the bottom smaller.

Based on the angles in your drawing it seems as if the feet are drawn in a way similar to a person that's sitting (or at least the perspective of something much higher). If you look at the angles of the standing people's feet you might be able to correct that.

I think the concept is pretty cool.
