Apparently since I lovingly nurtured them into being.....
I have never, ever, ever liked actual strawberries. Strawberry flavored juice, ice cream, candy, sure, but never the fruit. I stole a nibble of the first of my strawberries today (bought and grown for my boyfriend), and I LIKED it. I almost took it for myself, and might have if I didn't know there was another half-ripe one to be ready in a couple days.
So now I'm wondering what else I didn't know I liked. Not lettuce (plain anyways), I tried that last week. But I'm getting excited about those Yellow Cherry Tomato flowers on my plant and what they might be like....
Apparently people weren't just being silly. Home grown DOES taste better.

Home grown tomatoes are one of those amazing things that are 10000x better than the store bought stuff.

Well then I just hope I enjoy actual tomatoes. If not, I can sauce 'em biggrin
And buy an extra freezer to store the sauce lol

I grew tomatoes for the first time this year and I was amazed at how delicious they are. Store-bought tomatoes are absolutely flavorless compared to home grown, vine ripened tomatoes. They are such a deep and wonderful red I can hardly believe it each time I cut one open! It is much different than the pale-fleshed tomatoes I am used to buying at the grocery store.
I've been growing cherry tomatoes as well and they are the sweetest little things ever <3 I hope yours turn out well for you!

I got tired of iceberg lettuce then found romaine lettuce with mesclun mix which has dandelion, oak and many other leaves in it, and its YUM! Especially with a little bit of BBQ sauce, and chicken.
