Some people are more prone to them with others (me too babygirl). Exfoliating before and especially after you shave can help out a lot. And if you literally pluck out the hair with tweezers, they go away the next day. But all of that is a pain, and literally a pain because it's by your ladyareas. I gave up shaving mine and just trim with an electric trimmer, but when I shave my legs I use St. Ives Apricot Scrub for acne, so it has Salicylic Acid in it and a pair of tweezers. Before I shave, I pull out the ingrowns, and after I shave I scrub scrub scrub. It's ******** tedious though, I would just trim. xDD

I have scaring on my bikini line because of my ingrown hairs. sad

That ******** sucks. But lol did you try that on your own independently of my advice? Weird coincidence!
ALSO OH GOD NAIR I LITERALLY TESTED IT ON MY LEG ONCE AND IN LESS THAN THIRTY SECONDS I HAD A MINOR CHEMICAL BURN.

Nair always reacted horribly on my skin. I got chemical burns from it too. If I left it on for less time, none of the hair came off.
Also for some reason it left a thin layer of product film on my leg that I couldn't get off no matter how hard I scrubbed, which only exacerbated the burn.
Nair can be scary s**t.

Exfoliating before you shave is always a good idea, and after you should douse the area in very cold water. That will close up your pores and reduce the likelihood of ingrown hairs.
