Mikael ran through the woods. He'd be late for a fun time with one of the new kids.
Mom was sicker today, so she couldn't come. Mikael hoped this kid wasn't mean. He hadn't yet met anyone he couldn't get along with.
He skidded to a halt in the path before his new friend. At least he hoped so.
"Heya! Sorry I'm late! I'm Mikael!" He remembered to bow a bit. He wasn't sure what to do really, but just in case.

Rie had arrived earlier than Mikael. His arguments that royalty always arrived last and made a grand entrance had failed to impress Cy, who'd insisted that Rie had to show up on time or early when meeting someone, else they might get impatient and wander off. Rie had argued that anyone who failed to wait to meet him didn't deserve to be honored by his presence, but Cy had been resolute and walked Rie into the forest early.
Cy had some sort of work to do, Rie didn't quite understand what, but he'd left Rie with a picnic basket, a cellphone and anxious instructions on what to do in case of an emergency -- any sort of emergency. Rie didn't really think that they'd discover dinosaurs in the woods but if they did, Cy had told him what to do! Though he wasn't quite sure how hell ran, he would run like it if dinosaurs suddenly appeared.
Instead of dinosaurs, it was a boy that showed up. Rie blinked at him curiously and then held out a hand regally once the boy had bowed with the appropriate respect. "Hello, Mikael. I am Prince Rie Arkonsel."
He gave his little wings a flap of greeting, chin tilted up imperiously as he favored the other pocky boy with a smile.

Mikael shook his hand and smiled. "Nice to meetcha Prince Rie! Oh what do you have there?" He eyed the picnic basket. He wondered what was inside.
He noticed this guy had little wings. That was so cool! He'd never meet a guy with wings before and royalty to boot!
