So what should I use this for? I already know I'm going to delete the unused posts, but I can't do that until I know exactly what's going in here.
There should be L'ren's profile, Kivath's profile, and a description of the weyr itself. Maybe a picture, if I can find one. I should also do like Thali-chan and have a post for L'ren's relationships, both in and out of the Weyr.
I should have an ongoing character history separate from his profile. I'll take his personal history out of his profile, actually, and put it in a separate post where it'll be easy to just add to it in a linear fashion.
What have I got so far?
1st post: introduction. A sort of "Welcome to L'ren's weyr!" with a bit of a description of the weyr, RP-style. "As you walk in, you see..."
2nd post: contents. I'll state which post everything important is located in. I'll also post any personal rules L'ren develops for his weyr, in-game. Like "no pants allowed".
3rd post: profiles. Here I'll put L'ren's and Kivath's profiles (less L'ren's character history).
4th post: history. L'ren's complete and total history, from birth until present day. This will take some time to flesh out to completion, and will probably be one of the longest posts, if not the longest post, on the first page of this weyr.
5th post: relationships. A running record of all L'ren's different relationships with people, from his family members to the other riders in the weyr.
6th post: notes. Job-related notes on all the weyrlings. This is different from the relationship section, as it has nothing to do with how L'ren interacts with these people - just his thoughts on where they need to improve, and possibly, where they'll end up if they don't.
Hmm... this is great, but I feel like I'm missing something...

--[L'REN'S PROFILE]--
Name: Alloren / L'ren
Age: 29
Age Impressed: 17
Appearance: Short, mussy brown hair in a nondescript shade. He can tidy it, but seldom takes the time if not for a ceremony or other special event. He rather feels that there isn't much point. His skin is a light to medium tan shade, due to the amount of time he spends outside, and his hands are perpetually chapped from the combination of too much sweetsand and water from bathing young dragons, and then going between with wet hands. His features are a touch on the sharp-and-blocky side, making him look quite masculine and not especially attractive, but he likes his appearance, feeling that it makes his "hardass face" more effective than it would be on someone who was pretty. His eyes are definitely his best feature, being well-shaped and evenly spaced, and medium gray in colour. In fact, his eyes have been known to change colour, not unlike a dragon's (though without so much whirling). They take on hints of blue, green, or brown, depending on his mood, and during Flight, they tend to darken to almost black.
Personality: L'ren is lighthearted and fun-loving, when the mood is right - and that's most of the time. He loves his job as weyrlingmaster as only a natural teacher can. When necessary, however - when a weyrling is being delinquent or irresponsible in some way, when someone is in danger and needs to listen right now, or any other situation that seems suitable to him, he will put on his "hardass face"; a stern look that almost never fails - especially when coupled with barked orders - to bring young riders back in line. He has a thinker's brain. In order to properly function in any capacity, he feels that he needs to understand absolutely every aspect of the job. To fly, he must understand not just how a dragon's wings pump and that lifts them into the air, but why it should work that way at all; he wants to understand the principles of aerodynamics, in not so many words. To chew firestone, he wants to understand the idea of combustible gas. This is part of what makes him a somewhat less than effective Thread-fighter. He'd prefer to study it. This has also become a strength for him, as well as a weakness, as this makes him an exceptionally effective teacher, and during Threadfall, he is quite well suited to organizing firestone relay, sorting injured dragons by damage and need for attention, and making sure everyone and everything is where they need to be. He is not the type to have any illusions about himself. He knows exactly how smart he is, and exactly how clumsy he is. He knows he is not suited for fighting Thread, and doesn't mind. It is almost impossible to offend him because of this - if you try and insult him, you will get one of two answers. Either the statement is true, and thus something he accepts or must learn to accept about himself, and he is not insulted. Or it is untrue, and you're a deadglow (and he is still not insulted).
--[KIVATH'S PROFILE]--
Dragon's Name: Kivath
Dragon's Colour: Brown, the rich loamy colour of healthy dirt. His hide is very subtly mottled in only slightly varying intensities of the same shade of brown.
Dragon's Personality: Not a soul in the world has his feet more firmly on the ground than Kivath. He is the earth to L'ren's air; where L'ren is between in thought, Kivath has the fortitude of mind to bring him back down. He will offer his rider insights into the weyrlings and their dragons that help L'ren to teach more effectively. He will give him a few words to smarten him up and bring him back to reality. It doesn't matter how flying works, just that it does. Why should he care what happens in his second stomach, as long as it happens properly? When he hatched, he found L'ren immediately, without any dithering about at all. His first words were "I got here as soon as I could. I knew you needed me." He is quiet, insightful, and never speaks to anyone but his own rider. The only thing he ever gets riled up about, in fact, is Flight. Because of Kivath's stabilizing influence, L'ren has become much more reliable than he used to be. While he still gets lost in his head quite easily, he now has someone to refocus his attention where it needs to be and remind him of his commitments.

--[CHARACTER HISTORY]--
L'ren was born to a middle-ranked family in a medium-size hold, so his beginnings are a source of neither shame nor pride. Much of his childhood was spent performing basic menial tasks, so he never developed much in the way of coordination. He has a brother three years older than he, and a sister six years younger who is married with one child. He had another sister two years younger than he, and they were very close as children. She died of illness at the age of seven, and he was emotionally devastated for some time after. His mother told him that "the people we lose stay with us as long as we remember them," so he keeps a lock of her hair in a locket around his neck, so he can keep part of her with him. The locket is silver and studded with tiny rubies in a heart-shape, and is the single most valuable thing he owns, both monetarily and emotionally.
He was considered briefly for the Harper Hall, but was passed over in favour of his elder brother, due to his challenged fine motor skills and total lack of any singing voice whatsoever. There are no bad feelings between the two because of this, however, especially since he became weyrlingmaster. He feels that this position is better suited to him than one where he would have to put his lessons to music anyway.
He was searched at the age of 15, and did not Impress. In fact, he stood on the sands three times before Kivath hatched and Impressed to him. Though at the time it was painful and difficult to deal with, L'ren now looks back on his experience being left standing as a boon, as he can sympathize with those candidates who do not Impress.
L'ren struggled significantly with his weyrling lessons. He found that he had an unusual need to understand every aspect of a thing before he felt that he understood that thing at all - to fly properly, he felt that he needed to fully understand aerodynamics, though he hadn't a word for the concept. As such, when he did complete his lessons, he had quite an understanding of everything from which particular muscles of a dragon's wing are involved in flight to the fact that firestone produces a gas that ignites when it hits oxygen - though to him, they are two different kinds of air, no more and no less.
His first solo trip out of the Weyr after he graduated from weyrling lessons was a visit to the Harper Hall. Disguised as a simple family visit now that he had the freedom to do so, he was actually there to witness his brother walking the tables to become a Journeyman.
After struggling during his weyrling lessons, he became a less-than-stellar Thread-fighter, likely due to his mild clumsiness. After two years of being the least skilled in drills and exercises, he was effectively retired from the fighting wings and given the shoulder-knot of a weyrlingmaster, a position where he is, truthfully, much happier. He still functions as a reserve, and can be called out to fight should a dragon or rider be so injured he is grounded and a new pair has to take their place.
He has now spent nine years as a weyrlingmaster, and almost every weyrling that leaves his tutelage does so with a strong bond with his dragon partner, the skills needed to keep Pern alive, and good feelings toward his former master.
He also likes to think he has the ability to pull strings if he wanted to, given that almost every rider produced by him feels some level of loyalty toward the man. He would never actually take advantage of this, though, and is likely not manipulative enough to be able to even if he tried.
Note that he is not actually a bad Thread-fighter, he's just not a particularly good one, either.

--[RELATIONSHIPS]--
FAMILY RENNICK - L'ren's father. He is tall and broad, with brown hair and blue eyes. L'ren loves his father very much, though they very rarely see each other. He is a strong-willed man, but a fair one, and their Holder often comes to Rennick for advice and opinions, knowing that he has a tendency to see people clearly, for exactly who they are. CAYLORAH - L'ren's mother. She is of average height, and quite slender, with blonde hair and green eyes. L'ren enjoys bracing his elbow on her shoulder and leaning against her when he visits, to bug her that her "little boy" is taller than she. She is very intelligent and very loving, which allowed her to never let her kids pull one over on her. RAYLISS - Tall and slender, with dark hair and blue eyes, Journeyman Harper Rayliss is L'ren's older brother, and everything L'ren is not. Where L'ren is in his head, Rayliss has his feet on the ground. Where L'ren is a touch awkward around women, Rayliss is a harper-true ladies' man. Where L'ren cannot sing, Rayliss' voice let him reach Journeyman after only a few years in the Harper Hall. He is also a skilled debater and world-class smartass. AYLA - Deceased. Blonde haired and blue eyed, Ayla was a rather idyllic little girl, except that she had a mischeivous streak a dragonlength wide. This was actually why she fell ill in the first place; she was trying to play a prank on her beloved brother, Alloren (L'ren), when she fell into the river. Rayliss jumped in after her, but was not able to catch up until they'd both been washed quite far downstream. Their father had to go after them on a horse. Rayliss recovered; Ayla never did. SILRASSAH - L'ren's younger sister is tall and slender, with honey-brown hair and blue eyes. Being the youngest, and the only girl after Ayla's death, she was rather coddled. She is a very sweet woman, though she can be hard when she needs to be. Her biggest fear is losing her daughter the way she lost her older sister (being four at the time, it was a deeply significant event for Silrassah, and shaped a large part of who she is). As such, she can be overprotective of young Vissa. VIRK - The man who captured Silrassah's heart. He is short and stocky, and pale, but dark of hair and eye. He is usually laughing about something. L'ren doesn't know him very well, since Silrassah met and married him after he'd already been Searched, but what he does know of the man, he likes. VISSA - Vissa will be short when she grows up, but slender, with curly dark hair and impossibly bright blue eyes. L'ren has only met her once, and she reminded him very much of Ayla - she is adventurous, fun-loving, and mischeivous, but very sweet and gentle at the same time. She is only two years old. IN THE WEYR L'ren doesn't know anyone in Ista, yet. ;_;
