ricardo.demon Well they are comparing the series so : P But hey if you think it purely battle wise. FMA=> Create 3 country size philosophers stones and use them all at once= Byakuya will s**t his pants. omg come on!! xD byakuya will atleast do something

Well yeah they would ofc try, but to be honest, three philosophers stones like that would be quite god mode much. Then in other hand, would they be able to fight? Shinigamis are invisible to normal peoples after all. And Reiatsu can pretty much nullify matter so... in the end shinigamis could be completely immune to alchemist techniques.
In the end the worlds are so different that its rather hard to compare them xP

If we're looking at it battle-wise, then it would be bleach. In FMA, they're normal humans, with normal human limitations. The eye can only go so quickly, and anything moving faster than 30 mph within 10 feet of you will kill you before you can move out of the way. That isn't so for bleach characters. One flash step from a shinigami, and any character from FMA will be done for.

FMA wins as an awesome series- personally like it more for it's plot and characters.
Battle wise- difficult to say since they are different worlds/ dimensions; what skills would work if one is in a different universe? FMA has a higher chance in that they can actually create a field so that they can perform alchemy.

Lazuras Lefure It's sort of like comparing Dante's Divine Comedy to Milton's Paradise Lost. Yes, they're both good, but for entirely different reasons. On one side, you have the classic clash of swords and wills of Bleach. On the other, you have Fullmetal Alchemist in the vein of science and constantly questioning one's existence and ability to alter it. Bleach is good for if you want a good fighting anime that has plenty of blood, blades, and a plot that's very direct. If you want something that questions the existence of God, the influence science has on the human condition, and a plot that will make you question in-universe rules and preconceptions repeatedly, you go with Fullmetal Alchemist. Sure, they can both qualify as shonen, but that doesn't put them in the same league or sub-category. Yes heart couldn't have said this better myself!
