For those who don't know, an art meme is a series of questions/prompts for artists to interpret and draw below. Like this one that was really popular a few years back.
There are many of these memes that are themed with all manner of fandoms, books, games, movies and whatnot.

And I wanna make a Dragon Quest one.

On deviantArt, there is already an art meme for Dragon Quest VIII, and it's an okay meme, though it's questions did strike me as repetitive. But there is no series-wide DQ meme out there. And I want you guys to help me put it together.
Suggest questions, styles, ideas, anything. I want to keep it short and manageable so that the artists won't get bored, though, so not all ideas will be used.

Here are some of the basic prompts I've thought of putting in:

---
Hello and welcome to the Dragon Quest meme! Dress up as your favorite hero and introduce yourself!

What is your favorite game in the series?

Do you have any favorite characters? Why not draw them hanging out at the local inn?

What's your favorite monster? Draw them looking sinister.

Everyone has that one boss that they just can't beat, or that one dungeon that takes them forever to do. What's yours?

Who did you marry in Dragon Quest V? If you haven't played that game, draw your favorite character pairing. Lovey Lovey!

One last question: Will thou take me to the castle? Y/N?

Fantastic. Now get on over to the tavern and recruit three friends to aid you on your quest!
----

As for the meme itself, I was gonna accompany each prompt with a picture of a slime doing various things.

I really, really want to do the entire meme in Ye Olde Buchered Englishe, too. But I'm not sure if it is a good idea. What do you think?

Why didn't I see this thread before? D;

Although I am not very artistically inclined, I'm sure I can help brainstorm. Main thing that comes to mind when I think of Dragon Quest- series wide is the fact that you spend most of the quest tracking some guy down, then your work is all in vain because there is always a bigger guy behind the curtains, I'm sure you can do something with that.

Oh, and don't forget about the secrets behind those thrones in the final dungeon! (or at least in the first four)

I'm trying to decide what a good number of prompts are. I've seen memes that are exhaustively long, but mostly because they have dumb questions on them. I guess if the prompts are simple and don't take too long, they won't get exhausted.
I want to know if the Ye Olde Englishe would fly. Because that would be really fun to fool around with on my part :B.

Also, I'm not a paring person, really, so I'm not sure if i should keep that in there (though as I said, DQVIII has the best written relationship ever). Though they seem almost obligatory on these things. And I guess asking about DQV might muffle the impact a bit.

In relation to what you said, I would love to ask "Who is the most frightening final boss?" Or something along the lines of "Who ran around and did the most stuff instead of laughing at you from a different dimension?" For me, Corvus would totally own that s**t, but I wanna see people draw Psaro in various different forms.
I know that relatively inactive baddies are DQ staple, and that comes to mind when I think of the series as well. Though there are only three guys that are really the fake final bosses- Baramos, Murdaw, and Dholmagus.

Actually, asking about favorite series trends might be fun. Or perhaps illustrating to a song from the games.

I don't think making a long one (within reasons of course) would be bad, I mean people LOVE to talk about themselves, yet alone show their artwork, and like I said, while I am not the person to ask to draw, I definitely want to see this, even if you put it on DA, and link it back to the guild, I still want to see artistic interpretations of DQ.

Now, if I ever gain a own sense of art talent, I'll be sure to participate.

I think the most frightening final boss would be a cool idea, for the second option, there's a lot to say about Necrosaro, even if it is just him running around killing people and trying to evolve. ;D

Don't forget about Hargon who was a servant to Malroth and even Esturk in a way.

But in the end, the options for the art meme is truly unlimited, and I think the options you have going on right now should do, because as you said, you don't want it to be overwhelming long.
