Physical description: Standing at 5’4 Ticene is as tall as she is ever going to be. She doesn't mind though, the only advantages with height are not being looked down at and being able to reach things. The second can be solved with a little climbing. Ticene has reached an age that her body has now settled on it's final shape. One best described as childbearing and as such Ticene has a figure that cannot be mistaken for a male’s. Rather wide hips and a bust that seems good to her, not too big, not too small. Her main grievance with her figure is that the width of her hips and ribcage means she will never be called skinny. Slim, perhaps, but never skinny. There is muscle to her frame, but not enough to be noticed. The most of her strength lies in her legs as Ticene has done a lot more running about than she has lifting. This female shape is wrapped up in slightly tanned skin. Ticene was as fond of spending time outside as she was inside, so managed to darken slightly.

In the past year Ticene has allowed her wavy hair to grow in length so that it reaches her shoulders, it is her attempt to look slightly more feminine, as she feels she should. A warm russet, her hair is a mix of browns and reddish tones. Rather than just one shade Tic’s hair has naturally highlighted causing a rather multi-tonal look. Ticene tries her best to tame it if she is expected to entertain, but on days when there is no pressure for her to impress she allows her hair to make up it's own mind on how neat or disheveled she'll look. Forest green eyes, so often turned away in thought whilst Ticene attempts to come up with a plan of action, are a pretty feature. When someone manages to attract the attention of that gaze they’ll see the flecks of brown in amongst the green and a darker shade running the perimeter of her iris, drawing a green outline on her eye. Her features are delicate, but gentle expressions do not often grace them. More often Ticene’s lips are pursed in thought with her brow furrowed or head tilted in scepticism. Her smile however is one that is so wholeheartedly happy it would take a rather grumpy individual to resist being pulled along on adventure by Tic. However in recent years, with her dragons constant companionship her smile is far readier supplied.

Personality: So often off in a daydream or away with her own thoughts Ticene does well at repetitive tasks for long periods of time. She can continue to scrub that surface or sweep that floor whilst she thinks up a plan or thinks up a wild adventure that will likely never happen. Even if she is not paying attention to the task the whole time Ticene does understand the need for a job to be done properly and knows that sometimes she has to focus on the work at hand. It has often been whilst working that Tic has had some of her most brilliant brainwaves, it is the time she used to spend thinking of what she could be, but now she knows what she has to be. Ticene’s stubborn streak will simply flair in challenge when she is told that she cannot. Tell Ticene she can’t and she’ll show you she can. Even if she really can’t do it, she’ll still have a go to attempt to prove you wrong.

A leader at heart Tic’s mind is full of half finished plans and schemes. She does so enjoy her adventurous missions and has been known in the past to attempt something for the sheer thrill of doing it. Ticene believes being a good leader is knowing your teammates strengths and weaknesses. As such her mind is constantly filing away little details about a person, so watch the things you say around her, you never know if she’ll remember it. Whenever Tic makes a plan she has to be in charge of it, nobody else could follow it the right way. This means she can come off as controlling whilst she is in her ‘mission mode’, do not take it personally. She is merely trying to make sure that her plan goes off without a hitch. Woe betides if you are the one that causes something of hers to fail. As loyal as Ticene may be to her friends do not expect to be spared a verbal lashing if something went wrong and it was your fault.

For all the confidence she presents Ticene does have her doubts about herself. This is to be expected as she is still sometimes given to thoughts that she is not good enough, that she cannot achieve the things she has set herself to do. Luckily it is easy to frighten these doubts away from her with the company of others. The companionship of her friends and those that can boost her belief and make her want to push herself further. The easiest at pushing these worries out of her mind is Calith, with her constant assurance that if it had even occured to her that Ticene did not have the strength to do what needed to be done then she would not have chosen her.

History: Ticene is one of two; the younger one in a pair of non-identical twins. Being younger however never stopped her. From the word go Tic was causing hassle from the starting mark. As soon as she was able to move around she was getting into places she shouldn’t have, of course pulling Lelifir along with her. Learning to speak in no way aided matters, it just gave her another way to get into trouble. It took Ticene a few turns of arguments and fights, which Lelifir had to drag her out of, for Ticene to learn that sometimes the smartest thing to say is nothing at all.

As the pair grew they began to utilise each others talents and abilities to become a successful tag team. Ticene’s brain and speed became two of the greatest assets in the team’s weaponry. The pair were caught less and less often as they became more practiced. Although they were caught, and punished when they were, they were a far cry from disliked in their home hold. Their ways were just accepted as part of who they were and it even became a joke after enough time. Childhood was average for Ticene and Lelifir, comprised mainly of games and chores.

One key difference between the treatment Ticene and Lelifir received was the attention from their father. The twins had one older brother, one younger brother and two younger sisters. The divide ran straight down the middle of the six children, the girl’s on one side, the boys on the other. Ticene will, all be it reluctantly, admit that her father was not a bad person. He didn’t beat his daughters, nor was he cruel to them in anyway. He was simply less interested in them. Tic and the other girls know that he wanted boys who could carry on after him, more than he wanted girls. The three were never encouraged by him the way their brothers were. As the oldest Ticene resented that more for her sisters and took it upon herself to convince the young girls they could be whatever they wanted, as their mother seemed not to think anything wrong with the way things were.

It was Ticene first who spotted the Searchdragon come to their hold, as Lelifir was off doing something. As with many of the children and those of her age Ticene had gone to investigate, at that time not knowing the dragon and rider were searching for candidates. As the group had crept up to the blue creature there had been an excited amount of whispers and the odd one enough to make some of the younger ones shriek. Stories about dragons eating little children and the like. However the entire group had been frozen solid when the blue had turned to spot them. They had been so quiet. It was then that the rider had approached them and explained why it was she was there. That there was a clutch at Ista Weyr and she was searching for candidates to impress.

It was Tic that she wanted to take with her, but Ticene was adamant that Lelifir must come too. Although it took some convincing the bluerider eventually allowed Tic to drag her brother out for the dragon to look over. There was a tense moment before the rider said the blue thought Lelifir good enough to come with them. So the pair were off on what Ticene would gladly have said was her favourite adventure.

Ticene loved being at the Weyr. She was able to make new friends and the Weyr was so big. She spent her first few days exploring it every chance she got. Ticene was thrilled by the new location and the ability to learn a whole new surrounding the days until the hatching simply slipped away from her. Soon enough she and Lelifir were stood in front of the clutch as it began to hatch. The hatching seemed to last forever for Tic and when Lelifir impressed before her she had begun to panic. It was then that a lad she had met since coming to the Weyr, named Rhiyn, had joined her and stopped the girl feeling quite so nervous. It was not long though until he too impressed, but Ticene did not have long to grow nervous again before she was tracked down by her beautiful Calith.

Sadly it was not long before the responsibilities of her dragon's colour surfaced. Well, not long enough for Tic anyway. Now the usual junior Weyrwoman duties, those she could handle. There were two juniors afterall so there was a nice distribution of the workload, but then it all went wrong. The senior gold and rider had to go and between right after the other gold had a clutch. Even though Tic didn't want to be Weyrwoman and said she'd happily let the other goldrider take over, Weyr tradition dictated the next gold to rider would be the senior and that she had no say in the matter. This point was proved when Calith rose in her maiden flight and made Ticene the Senior Weyrwoman.

Talents: Ticene is a good leader with a head for strategies. Able to make up a plan and keep adapting it to suit a situation, Tic knows how to lead and the others had better follow.
