████████ ████████ ████████ ████████ ████████ My Statsxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Full name: Yuri Charity Allen Age: 11 [Now 12] Gender: Female Birthday: Winter 30 Height: 5'5" Hair color: Dark brown (and getting darker) Eye color: Gray Sexuality: Hasn't thought about it Job: Student Journal/Diary: Underneath her pillow████████ ████████ ████████ ████████ ████████ My Storyxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx History: For as long as Yuri can remember, her mother hopped in and out of the hospital. She had been sickly since childhood, so spending half of the year under the direct care of doctors had just become a fact of life, one that her daughter had to become adjusted to as well. Really, the little girl didn't think much of it. Sometimes Mom was at home, sometimes she wasn't. They still managed to have a normal family life. Mom taught her how to put her hair in braids, Dad took her out for ice cream after their weekend visit. She was a well behaved child, and she lived to make her mother smile.
However, when Yuri was six, her mother finally succumbed to her illness and passed away. For the first few years, her father tried very hard to maintain the status quo. They remained close, played games, and he would take her out for ice cream every weekend, like they had done when Mrs. Allen was alive. But he was burdened by hospital bills and funeral costs, and so he devoted himself to his work. His hard work paid off, because he soon rose up through the ranks until he reached an influential, high paying position, but there were consequences. Yuri found herself at home quite often, which instilled a sense of independence at a surprisingly young age.
Mr. Allen didn't neglect his relationship with his daughter without regret. He decided that by moving to a quiet, small town like Sonata Town, he'd be able to foster a closer relationship with Yuri. However, he found himself traveling overseas more often than he had been before. At least now he doesn't have to worry about Yuri's safety as much.
Yuri is a seemingly mildmannered and feminine little girl, though this just comes from her desperate desire to make her parent happy. She actually is a bit of a tomboy, and hates the dresses and uncomfortable shoes her father buys for her. Because things have been so rough for her father since his wife's death, she has learned to keep her mouth shut, and has yet to find her voice. This isn't to say that she isn't shy -- she is actually quite social when around her peers, and enjoys attention a lot.

• • • RELATIVES Yuri's father and mother. Her father lives on the island part time, while her mother passed away years before.
Patricia "Tricia" Allen // Summer 7 // died at 33 // homemaker // mother Maxwell Allen // Fall 29 // 50 // businessman // father
Maxwell Allen made sure to do whatever society expected of him. His conservative parents had made sure to instill a sense of conformity in their son. He played badminton in high school, was an honor student, and attended a high ranking private school for university. Although he got decent grades, he never was a student, and had always viewed college as a preparation period for the workforce. That's why, after graduating with a degree in business, he found a job in a company, and comfortably transitioned from studying and attending class to a life of sitting at a desk all day.
By the time he met his future wife, he was already twelve years into his career. The life of a bachelor approaching his forties was beginning to get stale, and so he found Tricia's youthful energy and passion refreshing. She was a scholar, a recent college graduate, who enjoyed reading Greek literature. She had poor health, but it created a delicate, feminine disposition that Maxwell was immediately drawn to.
Even though up to that point, he had been incredibly conscious of what people thought, he closed his ears to those around him when it came to Tricia. She was eleven years his junior, she was still a student, and their relationship moved almost too rapidly for it to be healthy. However, less than a year after they met, they got married. They moved to a sleepy little suburban town not far from his job and her university, and they were happy. Tricia could focus on her studies in peace and comfort, and Maxwell had something to work for. However, married life proved to be too much of a distraction for his young wife, and she found herself spending more time imagining their future and starting a family than she did at school. So she eventually dropped out of graduate school and became a homemaker.
Yuri was born a few years later. The Allen household was a happy one, but the pregnancy had taken a toll on Tricia's body, and so she found herself in the hospital for one problem after another. As her health deteriorated, so did her relationship with her husband. She passed away when she was just thirty-three years old. Maxwell was forty-four. Their daughter was only six. The loss of his wife was a harsh blow, and it was supplemented by a growing fear of raising a child by himself. Eventually he just threw himself into his work, just so he could get away from his anxiety.
