Mitsu's expression was a little sheepish when Shun said he didn't understand why she kept referring to him as family. "Y...you're close to me...like my brother was. You look out for me and protect me and sometimes encourage and push me to do things I don't want to do." Her thoughts went immediately to when he had tried to get her to climb the cliff side. "And I care about you a lot. I worry about you, maybe even more than I ever worried about my brother."
With a sigh she began to fidget with her shirt. "So to me, I feel that you are close like family. It's also nice...to feel like I still have family left." Since she really had no one. Just her, all alone, still blindly hoping her brother would return one day. Sure she had Desmond and she loved him deeply, but that was a different type of love. Maybe it was her natural pack animal instincts kicking in but she felt like she should have others there and when her brother went missing there was a void. Not to say she was trying to replace her brother, she wasn't, but she did feel the need to have that family bond.
"I..I'm sorry. I guess I shouldn't push that on you." She said softly before turning toward Blade. "It's no trouble. I would be happy to get you both something to eat." It was the least she could do since they were both taking her beating for her.

As she explained, Shun stared at her with gentle eyes. It.. was still a little strange and foreign to him, but he was able to understand what she was getting at there for the most part. Stepping a little closer to her, he placed a hand on her shoulder when she turned towards Blade.
"No.. it's fine," he said quietly before shooting a glance towards the thief, then back to Mitsu, "It's just... foreign to be considered as such.."
He was referring to how his own father saw him there.That damn b*****d.
Before answering Mitsu, Blade stared at Shun, thrown off by the display. He really did act differently towards her didn't he? It was a little strange to see the guy like this.
"Well, if you say so," he said finally.

Mitsu looked back when Shun placed a hand on her shoulder. A faint soft smile touched her lips as she reached up to touch his hand. "We can be each other's family then."
Nodding to Blade Mitsu started toward the door. "We'll get you guys back and I'll bring you something to eat then. Just let me know what you want." She didn't mind tending to them, it helped keep her mind off her own troubles.

Nodding lightly, Shun smiled faintly in return while lightly gripping her shoulder. Then, releasing her, he started towards the door as well, passing up a Blade that looked kind of stunned.
"Uh.. sure.. anything will do," the thief blinked, "And holy crap I didn't think it was possible for you to smile."
That immediately got him a glare from the assassin, which was something he was a lot more accustomed to.
"Well that's more like it I guess..."

That smile of his always warmed her heart whenever she saw it but it seemed to only stun Blade. True Shun didn't smile often but was it really that shocking? Okay....maybe it was. It had been for her the first time too.
Smiling a bit more Mitsu fell into step behind the two boys. "Shun looks good with a smile." Gently she touched the assassin's arm catching his glare toward Blade but thankfully it didn't seem like the boy was bothered by it. Just another day it would seem. "Come on, I'm sure you're ready to rest." She said urging the two boys forward and toward their dorms.
