The hair on Mynt's back and neck bristled slightly as he mentally struggled to think of a response. "Her mother is..uh.." he stopped, clearing his throat to give him a moment to think more. As if on cue, Dae yelped and bounded over the pale green fox.
Clearing his throat again, he craned his neck back to grab the kit by the tail and gently drag her back. Where was her courage now? Rolling his eyes, he looked back at the vixen across the stream, changing the subject. "I have met many, but most only in passing." he said, thinking a moment. Really, Dae and Misaki were the only Leawyn he ever sat down to talk to. Everyone else he either fought for more territory or chased off his land. There was the occasional fox that didn't threaten his territory and stayed for a chat. But those foxes never returned.
Not that he needed friends, they were just extra things to worry about. But all the same, he wondered if in time these two would also forget him. A conflicted look cast its shadow over Mynt's face as he settled deep into thought.
((deep down inside, mynt is really a sissy))

( Awwww he is so cute! )
Misaki watched the pink ball of fluff. "Shush now little one. I do not plan to hurt you or your daddy." She spoke in her softest and most gentle voice. "I would never hurt a little one." She smiled softly at Dae. "I was just telling your daddy I should like to have my own little one just like you. Maybe some day. Then you could be friends."
She put her attention back on Mynt and smiled at him. "Do you think you would be able to help find others to meet?" She lightly blushed. "I've been alone a long time so maybe it is time to find someone to spend my time with."

She was dragged back by her tail, digging her paws into the dirt and grass producing quite the lovely trench. Dae squirmed and peered at the other Leaywen while puffing herself up to look like nothing more than a pink fluff ball. This time it actually worked. It probably didn't help her cuteness.
Her floofiness floofed even more when this strange female chastized her for being all scared. Something about talking to her daddy....? A rather wide head tilt and a muffled squeak when she tilted too much and fell over. Dae was really confused... " Buuuh....? Okay lady.... " she said from her back, still rather confused. Correcting the female was the last thing on her mind.
PLAYMATES. That was important. She could play with others! Her age! And and and... Wait, wouldn't they be younger than her?
But that serious though was popped when a butterfly flew by. 'EE! Flappy! " she squeaked, flailed on her back for a few moments, then bounded after the insect, hopping across the stream ignoring the grownups talk. Bounce! bounce! Bounce! Splash! bounce!

Mynt started to feel a cool film of sweat forming on his skin as the vixen kept mentioning 'daddy'. He coughed and opened his mouth to speak when Dae woke up and interrupted his train of thought.
For a brief second, he was annoyed. But then he remembered how young she was and simply watched her wander off for the butterfly. And as much as he hated admitting it, he couldn't help but smile softly at the yearling.
Turning back to Misaki, he considered her question for a moment. If they traveled, chances were that they'd eventually find another Leawyn. But that would mean leaving his precious territory unguarded.
And he certainly wasn't going to leave it in the hands of a yearling that was easily distracted.
"I'm sure some will come our way soon enough.." he said. Which was true. Much to his chagrin, Mint happened to stake out a territory that was often frequented by Leawyn that were either passing through or looking for their own land. There were bound to be visitors within the week.
The hard part was discerning whether or not those visitors would be a threat.
