It had already been over a week since Sera had stepped on that cursed piece of glass and still her foot would bleed everytime she walked. Clean it, wrap it, soak it, didn’t matter. The moment she put weight on it, her foot would re-open. Each time she cursed thinking that she had gotten all of it out of her foot but the more time went on, the more she questioned that thought process.
Now, as she stood up from her desk once more and felt that same small pool of blood forming, her patience ran out.
“Lorena! Get your cloak! We are going out!”
The red-headed little girl didn’t have time to respond as her mother limped past her. For the past few days Lorena had asked if she was okay only to receive a snap of an answer. Now as she watched her mother hobble out the door, she knew something was wrong.
The short walk took longer with Sera stopping every few minute but they arrived at the office that Lorena had been told was a place of healing. Daddy had always said not to go to another doctor so why her mother was going to this one shocked her. Still, as Sera walked in and over to the desk, the hummingbird felt a cold chill. The place was strange and very clean smelling.
“How soon can I see the doctor?” Sera asked looking around.

"It's slow today.. Isn't it?" A rather bored looking child sat with his stomach against a chair back that was placed beside the desk that was at the entrance of the store. There wasn't much he could do at this point.. No medicine needed to be delivered, there were no emergencies... It was just a legit slow day.
"Now now, Iri, think about it. If people aren't sick or hurting, doesn't that mean we're doing our jobs? People feel good, so no business is good business." His father, Uri, sat beside him, infront of the desk, and sorting through some of his old files, and making notes of who he needed to call about setting up a check up. Though.. He would agree, he, too, was bored..
"Meh."
Soon enough, the little bell above the door rang, and they both looked up, watching as a woman and another child, one with wings similar to Iri's, came tthrough. Iri frowned at this... Why did everyone cover up their wings?!
"Um... You can see him right away! Uh, that is, Let me go get him! Our little assistant, Iri, will lead you over to the examination room!" Uri wasn't used to working with females.. Being around them made him feel nervous, and due to this, he quickly bolted out the room to fetch the doctor.
"It's this way, ma'am." a little smile graced Iri's lips, and he gently ushered the girls into the examination room.
"If you don't mind, please, sit up on the table, and I'll go ahead and take your bloodpressure and temperature.."
