*cough*'Sleeping beauty' series by anne Rice.... and only if you're 18
Whoa! So this is how I found out about Sleeping Beauty! I couldn't figure it out... I guess I should have payed attention to the 'only if your 18' part. It's a good book, but once I read it, my best read it and then her boyfriend read it and then my boyfriend read it and everyone he knows read a part of it... Now we have dirty jokes that other people don't understand.
xd Thanks for introducing me to the Sleeping Beauty series!

If you don't mind the whole sex, drugs, and music theme--you guys should check out Poppy Z. Brite, she writes gothic slashy stuff. The only two of her books I can personally say are good though is here Drawing Blood and Lost Souls, Lost Souls' plot and a couple of its characters are kind of annoying though--not to mention there's some incest (and its not remotely sex, so for all you Fred/George, Lucius/Draco type fangirls, it's not on those levels more likely). However the main pairing in Drawing Blood is great, although its loaded with angst and more angst. Lost Souls has an implied couple that manages to be cute and charming, which makes up for the crapiness of the incest thing however. But if you do decide to read them, read Drawing Blood first, it's better and just, not as likely to squick you out. Beware though, both are kind of gritty.
Thank you for introducing me to Poppy's books! I love them! Drawing Blood and Lost Souls are my favorite, but Exquisite Corpse is a close third.
