Description: Light rose with black pied markings. Description from the book:
  • "She was not the solid, or roan, or dapple of unicorns, but paint: pale rose splashed with great, irregular black blots"
  • "Jan saw Tek's green eyes searching the brush"
  • she is "parti-coloured jet and rose with green green eyes"
  • she has a "parti-coloured mane"
  • many of the artist have imagined her as dark rose while others have depicted her as almost white. I prefer a middle ground.
Eye Color: Bright green/Grass green (emerald is too dark, peridot too yellow/light)

Hummingbird-inspired Ulaya

Species: Ucolian Edited or Unedited (CC)

Starting Stage: Adult
Description: Coloured like a hummingbird. Most of the inspiration taken from a ruby-throated hummingbird, but feel free to draw inspiration from other types (I have added several reference images to give an indication).
Pelt Color: See ref. Mainly the green/red/white, but definitely open to variations! I would appreciate if she had a feathering-pattern, though.
Eye Color: Black/dark brown
Ear Tuffs Color: like the rest of the body

Dubhán God Upgrade
Because the Brothers of Destruction stick together

Name of God: Dubhán

Domain: Suffering
Alternative Domains: Cruelty? Vengeance is also an option. I have also considered murder, but I figured that it might be a domain that was a little too loaded.

Concept/Background
    Dubhán is an existing character, and seeing as his twin brother has now become a God it "makes sense" for Dubhán to become a God as well - their dynamic wouldn't survive one ranking higher than the other.

    I have chosen the domain of suffering for Dubhán because Dubhán wants other creatures to suffer like he once did at the paws of his parents. In nature, black leopards are cast out by their parents at a very early age (far earlier than their normal-coloured siblings) and will often be chased off by the parents as the faulty colour is considered a weakness in the natural world. The same thing happened to Dubhán as a very young kit: one day when he was still very young, his parents suddenly turned on him and chased him away, giving him nothing but permanent scar over his left eye from their claws, and leaving him to die on his own.

    But what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

    Dubhán didn't die that day, but suffer he did. It was hard for such a young kit to survive in the wild on his own, so every day was a struggle with pain and hardships that almost killed him. Almost, but not quite. Every day he became bigger, stronger, faster -- better. And so he took that suffering and internalised it, honed it and became a brutal killing machine that enjoys inflicting pain and suffering upon those that cross his path. He considers it his right to inflict suffering onto others and he revels in it - regardless of if it is emotional or physical suffering he is inflicting. Even as a mortal he had no regard for any other ulayas than his brother (and, eventually, one of his daughters), and that disregard will only be honed as he enters Godhood.

    I can see a positive side to his domain: playing on the same concept that Dubhán was originally based on. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger". The hardships he inflicts on ulayas have the potential to make them grow stronger like he once did to survive the cruelty of his reality; However, I'm not entirely sure that Dubhán would actually care about the future consequences of his current actions. But it gives him some room for some character growth and development.


Powers
  • Mental manipulation - taking existing thoughts of fear, self hatred and/or self doubt and "powering them up" from anything like a sense of dread to the point where they can cause physical agony. Only works with thoughts that are already in the mind of the targeted one, but it is so easy to plant thoughts...
  • Poison Claws - Dubhán has the option to inject poison into his claws to cause extreme (but non-deadly) agony for the target.
  • Can a God of Suffering end suffering?


Appearance
  • Completely black pelt with even darker leopard spots. The only blemish are the claw marks over his left eye. He could have chosen to leave them behind when he shed his mortal form, but they have become such a big part of him that he decided to keep them.
  • Glowing yellow eyes, the injured left one a few shades lighter than the uninjured one. (a version both with and without the glow would be nice, if possible)
  • Prominent claws on all his paws, possibly with a few smatterings of blood. The deadliest of teeth.
  • Cat ears (no tufts).
  • A large and strong (and slightly fluffly - but don't tell him that!) leopard tail
  • ...Wings? Where did they come from?
