I can't really put in my opinion as far as Apple products. The only thing that I've owned that was Apple was an iPod and I absolutely hated using iTunes. I got a Zune about two years ago and I absolutely adore the thing. But other than that, I've got a PC and I have windows XP on my laptop. I just sorta stick with what works.
Oh, and I found a new type of person that annoys me. I've been dealing with my whole abscessed wisdom tooth for almost two weeks now (I'm in a lot of pain and I've had a slight fever on and off) and I really don't take any pain killers stronger than extra strength Tylenol and I can't afford to go to the dentist to get the whole thing taken care of either, so I've been toughing the whole thing out. I haven't taken any sick days and due to my being in a lot of pain, I haven't really been talking to anyone because I'm quite irritable; understandably so, but a coworker of mine decided to comment on it the other day. After I told him why I wasn't quite my friendly self, another person who overheard our conversation pipes in with "Funny, you don't LOOK sick."
Just because someone doesn't walk around crying about how they don't feel well doesn't mean they aren't sick or hurt!! Some people aren't wimps. XD

I'm sorry to hear about your tooth. I hope you can find relief, soon. I hate having sore teeth. I'm lucky to have a dental plan, through work.

The funny part is I work at a dental lab. I get any crowns or bridges I need made for free, but we don't have any dental insurance.

The only people who are capable of drawing are those who have gone to art school mentality. It's just so annoying to deal with.

Sachie Whitby The only people who are capable of drawing are those who have gone to art school mentality. It's just so annoying to deal with. Or people who draw exceptionally well and critique your work with out telling you what you could do to improve, just what you did wrong. That kind of criticism bothers me so much, I'd rather have constructive criticism. Also, people who leave messes for you to clean up even though they made the mess. And people who are disingenuous, or rude when it comes to a meal that you prepared for them. Can't tell you how many times that's happend to me. I spend and hour making dinner and I don't even get a thank you or at least be honest if you didn't like it. >3<; Makes me want to smack them up side the head. But have to show restraint and not be petty as they are. Because what's worse than turning into the very people that you detest?

I will take all sorts of constructive criticism, but when it's destructive, it honestly enrages me. I can't stand the sort of people that just have to destroy things either verbally or physically.

It's easy to be a critic, but it's harder to be someone who's genuinely helpful. Someone who gives a damn about other's feelings not just their own self-inflated sense of superiority...

When I had made that post before, I had that day mentioned an art teacher I had years ago who pushed a mentality that those of us who are not serious art students should only draw things that exist 100% in reality. The guild agreed completely with the teacher.... thus in turn, essentially told me that I have no business even trying to draw my own avatar [as no I don't for a minute believe that vampires are real] and that any avatar I get [either paid commission or freebie] that is done by an armature is automatically crap regardless of how good or bad it looks. There was a seriously lesson there in not paying attention to what someone wrote.

Freddie Mercury is considered to be one of the greatest vocalists of all time. He did not take a single voice lesson and the only "formal" training he had with music was taking piano lessons when he was little. People that say you have to go to school to learn any sort of art or even to be "good" at it is just dumb. I can see taking classes as a great way to learn how to do new and interesting things with your art, but you can also do similar things on your own.

And even if I didn't it would still be art. Art is a visual expression. Who gets to say who and who isn't an artist? That's effed up, and really what kind of real artist would discount anyone else's expression on the basis "Oh, well you're not serious enough"?

I don't know if the guy who did it is a pro artist or not either.
