Come one Come all, gather round gather round. It is time to announce a brand new and much anticipated feature of POTS. The new Ranking system has been completed, and Chuunin exams are no longer the only way to rank up. Yes, you asked for it, many before you have asked for it, and it has finally happened.

The current chuunin exam has not been canceled and such exams may still take place in the future, however they will no longer be the only way to advance.

So Take a Look

Why these numbers are as low as they are going to go.
This is the part of the announcement where you will be directed to when you post in the Q&A forum declaring that the system is too harsh.
So we can't just hand out ranks, autoranks being the exception. While villages need to have strong ninja, if advancement is easy everyone will reach Sannin rank in no time and then realize theres not much more to do. While the main purpose of the guild is fun roleplay, the villages need to have some sort of function and purpose for the roleplay to be interesting. I will now explain why each requirement is what it is.

Time Requirement: if you fulfill all of the other requirements you will probably not have to wait long before your rpc is "old" enough for advancement. The reasoning behind the time requirements is that you need to prove that you are a faithful member of POTS. We also want to avoid spam-posting for advancement. While it is okay to work towards advancement, this is a roleplay guild, and there isn't much point if you are only roleplaying with yourself. Note that it says must have been active for that amount of time.

Mission Requirement: Missions are the whole reason the ninja villages are needed and able to run. Missions pay for a ninja's bread and bed. If you aren't fulfilling your job as a ninja and completing missions then who in their right mind would promote you to a better position?

Jutsu requirement: This one was a bit of a tough one to agree on. To move on in rank you need to be skilled enough for that rank. Not only that, but you will be in charge of training those who come behind you. You need to know a decent amount of jutsu. It was debated whether or not the jutsu requirement should be all jutsu available at your rank, but this was a bit extreme, so it was lowered a bit for your convenience.

Special recommendation: This is where advancement is out a bit more into the hands of the village. This will become harder to get the further you rank, and makes it necessary to prove yourself. Not only do you have to get the answers write so to speak, but you need to prove that you will make good use of the rank and your current rank is limiting your growth.

Kage administered test: Now it is up to the kage to decide on a test for you, to make sure that you are worthy of advancement. This can be very difficult, or even potentially fatal to your RPC depending on how the Kage decides to test you.

Crew OK: This only applies for the higher ranks. Basically this is where the crew reviews your test and qualifications to make sure they've been met and you actually earned the rank. Also, this is where the crew makes sure the village doesn't end up with an outrageous amount of Jounin/Sannin compared to the rest of the village. (though it is unlikely this will become a problem)
