Kim brought me home a huge old cheese ball storage jar yesterday to use for my tank maintenance. I figured that I could make a DIY tank out of it due to it being able to hold about 2.5 gallons of water and being half the length of my 5 gallon and just as tall.

I was planning on buying a new tank for Mr. Moto since he's doing a lot better now. Since I put him on a Betta flake diet only, he now has no floatation problems. He is also slowly getting his black coloring back on his head where the huge white lesion used to be. ^_^

My problem was the fact that since he was only in the 1 gallon due to his floatation, he now should be able to handle a regular tank now. Due to this, his old tank I felt was too small.

I made this DIY tank for him today. Since the moment I put him in there this afternoon, he has just been exploring everything all day. He loves it! Lol! I cut a hole in the back for the filter's air-line, allowing also oxygen exchange with water, and customized the lid for easy access. I thought I'd share pictures with you all.
