Buttercup had only been to this area a few times, but with this green grass and calm night breeze. She was begin to feel like this was home to her, the one place she could be herself with no worries. This place was so beautiful, especially in the night that she had come back here several times. The only bad thing about this area was not many travelers stopped by this part, so it was only her out here most of the time. An a person like her can only be alone for so long...before feeling lonely. As she got laid down in the grass she looked up at the sky and said aloud, "I wonder if tonight will be the night. The night someone passes by and says hello." A smile came to her face at that thought, if that did happen then maybe she could feel special again. In the back of her mind she hoped and prayed that the sky would push someone her way. With that she laid staring out into the open land.

It was a calm night, she hadn't found him but deep down she knew he was out there. Her troll was merely out following his nomadic ways, she'd continue her stroll though. He'd come to her in time deep down she knew it. She was hopeless for him. He kept her up late into the night and restless throughout the day. The calm nights kept her at peace though, it soothed her rolling emotions. Come what may shed continue on. She walked and walking eased the weight upon her chest. The night was her friend she knew it.
A calm breeze drifted past Angelique as she roamed, pretty flowers coated the ground, her troll would love them she knew. With the breeze words drifted to her ears causing her to flick them back. She frowned looking about for there source and hesitated when she saw something far to her right, was it a being another soquili? She was unsure but the small size told her it was not her troll, still it puzzled her. "Hello" she called "Is someone over there?" Her voice held a proper polite tone to it, more southern bell then British though in its nature

Buttercup sat up right quickly as soon as she heard a voice. Was she hallucinating, or was someone really out here in the area she thought of as home. She listened more closely and she heard the voice say something else. The voice sounded sweet and proper from what she could tell, and they had a very unique accent something she had never heard before. "Hello there!" she responded with a upbeat voice unsure where the voice was really coming from. Part of her really hoped she hadn't startled the person, but she wasn't really sure what else to say. She was in complete shock that someone was even out here, other than her and her headphones of course.
"Are you lost?" Buttercup asked with her voice sounding caring and concerned. Since never before had she ever seen someone around here. Though maybe her hope was coming true, maybe the wind had sent this person to keep her company for a bit. If that was the case she had to try her best not to scare them away. "I hope they don't take my outside appearance the wrong way," she thought quietly to herself as she waited anxiously for the person to respond.

Angelique smiled upon hearing a response to her words. She was glad to find that she had not misheard, glad to know that the wind wasn't merely playing tricks on her. She flicked her tail and turned in the direction of the voice. Company was good, she was so often alone roaming the land in hopes that she'd find her troll. "Oh No dear I'm not lost. Merely wandering about." She smiled and headed toward the mare in the grass.
Her pace was slow like she hadn't a care in the world. "Honey what has you out at this time?" She could make out a blond mane with roses such a dear. She continued her way forward still light as a feather. Perhaps she'd make a friend on this night. Her social encounters were lacking in all but her Troll encounter.

Upon hearing their voice a slight smile began to appear on her face. Buttercup found the words out of the person's mouth quite hard to believe though, she wasn't lost? Wow this was definitely a first for her, since never before had anyone wandered here on purpose. "well I'm glad to hear your not lost, and well actually I kinda live out here," she said as kindly as she could looking straight towards the person heading her way. "Mind me asking what your out here in the middle of no where, at this time of night?" she couldn't help but question out of curiousity and kindness.
Only to fade away from the thoughts in her mind as the other moved close. The closer the other came the more she could she what they looked like. They had a beautifully waved mane with such wonderful looking feathers mixed within. Her skin was a much different color then her own though, it looked almost violet mixed with turquoise. How bright she thought to herself as she waited for them to come within view. Part of her couldn't help but wonder would this person be a possible friendship? Just the thought of that made her shake her mane in joy.

All was fine with the night and the chance meeting. Angelique smiled softly toward the other mare. "Well it certainly does look like a wonderful place to live." She dipped her head to the side pleasantly. She glanced skyward listening to the mares inquiry. "I was merely out wandering around. There is a large troll that I've been happening upon and I just wander in hopes of seeing him again. He's a traveling about with his herd gatherin' herbs." She continued holding her warm smile. Her grey eyes closed to a half mast as she nodded.
She noticed the other mare was colored in a patch like pattern. Her ears flicked forward as she took in a breath and a pleasant smell of roses drifted to her nose. It brought her attention back to the other mare's mane and tail. "Your roses are quite lovely." She wondered if she could manage roses in her mane but she wasn't sure how they would stay in her wild mane. She knew her feathers and beads were tied into her hair so she though they might be able to be tied in but she wasn't so sure.

Well this night was much better than she hadn't expected it to be, especially with this new kind like company who had wandered upon her land. For once in a blue moon she would finally have some good company or so she figured in her mind. "It isn't bad for some one like me who lives by her lonesome," Buttercup agreed kindly with a half smile on her face. "Oh I see, do you know which direction he was heading in? Maybe I could help you wander into this troll of yours once again," she nodded with her head. Though she didn't want her new company to leave if she could be of service she might as well help this new person. After all it wasn't often that she ever ran into a female like this, or they ran into her.
While upon waiting for her answer she heard a comment of her roses and her face lit up like the stars in the night sky. "You like them? Well I'm so glad!" She said happily, "These roses are my pride and joy. I love roses with all my heart, though I'm not sure why." Looking at the other mare she couldn't help but compliment, "I love your feather and beads they compliment your hair in the most lovely way," she said before bowing her neck down to the ground, "though if you'd like. You are free to have one of my many roses for your own mane?"

Which direction? Angelique rolled the question around her head as she thought on it. "Well no particular direction to be honest. He went off toward the west one night and then a few days later he ran into me from the east. Last I saw of him he was wandering of toward the north. However, if you are interested in wandering around with me I would quite enjoy some company on this journey." She smiled politely eager for companionship and to find her troll. He was an interesting fellow her troll was. swamping her by sheer size but he excited her so.
She shifted her hooves unsure if the question about her liking the roses was rhetorical or not but the other mare continued on so she didn't feel she had to answer. "I can understand why they would be. They are positively lovely. Perhaps it is because, roses are the kings of the flowers. They are loved by all for their smell and beauty, but cautioned for even the smallest have protective thorns." She smiled at the returned compliment she was fond of the sounds her beads made in the wind and the soft tickling of her feathers. Her eyes grew wide though at the offer to have one of the other mare's roses. "Well that is greatly kind of you I would not be opposed if you have a rose to spare."

"Oh I see," buttercup spoke before continuing, "You both are quite the travelers! Though I would love to wander around with you for a bit." The truth was wandering around by her lonesome was getting a bit lonely, all she had to talk to was the wind and trees. Both in which never really ever answered her back that often. In her mind some company really was just what she wanted, and plus maybe she could even help them find their friend if she was lucky enough.
"I agree, they are wonderful and oh so lovely. They are sweet but dangerous. A small flower with a bite," she said with a laugh as she smelled the air and could smell the scent of her roses. It was nice to have someone understand roses in a way that she did. The way they explained it actually helped her to see why she did love them. It wasn't just because they were sweet, but because they were protective. They let people see they were but only the real loves could bare the small guard the roses had set up.
At the sound of the other mare accepting her offer, she smiled brightly. Ecstatic that she could share something she loved so much with someone. So she slowly shook her mane enough so that one rose fell right in front of the other mares feet. "I hope that one is alright, and I have plenty to spare," she said with a giggle and soft smile as she shook her mane back into place on her back.
