Personality: Gwendolyn is a kind-hearted girl. She is loyal to her loved ones and would go to the ends of the Earth to help one. Quiet to newcomers, she is more comfortable with her friends and people she has at least exchanged a few words with. Gwen loves music, reading books, and hanging out in quiet, peaceful places, like forests. She can go into an unstoppable rage if you mess with her or her loved ones. Her greatest weakness is not being able to believe in herself as much as others may.
History: Gwendolyn hasn't lived an easy life. She was born in New York City to a mother who couldn't care less about her, told that her father died in a plane crash. She kept Gwen for a while, to see if she was worth something. Gwendolyn's dyslexia made it hard for her to get good grades in school, putting her mother in unbelievably bad moods. Her mom would always call her a failure, wishing she had gotten an abortion so she wouldn't have to deal with her. Tears in her eyes, Gwendolyn ran away at age fourteen, vowing," I'll succeed! I'll be a star! I'll be a hero!" There were no police reports given about a missing child.
Gwendolyn ran from New York to Manhattan. As soon as she left the borders of New York City, a male voice in her head kept telling her to go to Camp Half-Blood. Gwendolyn believed she was going crazy. She ran to the camp anyways, guided by the voice. She got as far as the bottom of Half-Blood Hill without meeting any monsters. There, she met a Slydian Drakon, a one hundred foot long monster. The voice told her to pull on the charms of her bracelet and tap her emerald ring three times. To Gwendolyn's amazement, a bow appeared in her hands, a bag of arrows slung over her shoulders, along with a steel shield with intricate emerald designs. The voice guided her on how to use her weapons, but defeating the actual monster was all Gwendolyn. She arrived at the top of Half-Blood Hill exhausted, carrying a Lydian Drakon skin, a spoil of war. She collapsed in the arms of a tree nymph, and fell unconscious.
Weapon of Choice: Gwendolyn has an emerald ring that when tapped three times turns into a buckler shield. She also has a bracelet (which will always appear back on her wrist) with two charms: a bow and a bag of arrows. When pulled downward, a bow appears in her hands, with a bag of unlimited arrows over her shoulder. Both are gifts from her father.
Reflection: Gwendolyn is quite pretty for her age. She is 5 feet, 4 inches with honey blonde hair that is a few inches above her waist. She has pale, almost translucent skin, which makes her look like a ghost straight from the Fields of Asphodel. Her eyes are sky blue, flecked with gray; when you get her mad, which is rare, her eyes look like a storm is rolling in on a clear blue sky. Gwendolyn's usual outfit is a white long-sleeved T-shirt with the shoulders cut off, light blue or green tank top, skirt or jeans, sneakers, and a scarf striped with light blue and white (see above image for clothing type).
