Illadon was a brought up in a home where magic and music abounded. His mother was a half-witch, who was disinclined to become one of the Ars Lilium or a reaper. His father was one of the Ars Lilium and very rarely home. His mother took to making and selling herbal concoctions with a touch of magic in them for a living. His mother was always humming a tune, nurturing Illadon's love for music. She encouraged him in his ambitions, always supporting him and telling his to give his best. This made him strive harder to please his mother, and his ambitions grew larger and larger.

However, his mother's diluted blood didn't stop a Majin from coming to eat her heart. Illadon returned from an errand to find his mother dead and a Majin leaving, cackling as it did. This fueled a desire for revenge in Illadon, and he set out to become a reaper to prevent this from happening to anyone else. While his father was disappointed in Illadon's decision to become a reaper, he understood the reasoning behind it and gave Illadon his blessing. Illadon learned to channel his love for music into his powers, making them one and the same.
