"I understand." He smiled a little and returned her kiss. "I agree, the world is much better in this coma." Deskri laughed a bit and leaned back on the bench. "So... shall we continue to avoid them or head back?"

Sonnet smiled and shrugged. "That's all up to you really. It's you they seem to love to pick on, not me," she said as she shook her head in slight amusement. She looked at her ring again, smiling at it. "How on earth did you find a ring like this? I didn't even know they made them look like this. It's so nice," she said.

"eh... I'm very, very tempted to just go home after that lovely comment Asu made." Deskri rolled his eyes with an exasperated sigh. He'd gotten over the utter hatred for children, but that didn't mean he was about to go have some with Sonnet without at least discussing the matter first...
"Well, I can't really take all the credit... I had Moira come help me look in town because my searches online weren't bringing up anything good." He shrugged a little, "she pointed it out to me."

"Ah," she said with a nod. "Well, I had a feeling she had some part of it when she burst out laughing when her brother asked if we were married or not," she commented before sighing.
"Well, if we're heading back home I'd like to text Mom saying we're doing so. She'll probably make sure Asu doesn't pout herself to death because you aren't returning," she teased.

"Yeahhhh, I was worried she'd given it away." He sighed and rolled his eyes a little. "I was trying to make it more... special I guess." He shrugged a little. He thought about it for a moment longer and then stood up. "Well, if it won't break your heart to just ditch them, I'd rather go home and spend the rest of the day together." He offered her his hand with a bit of a smile on his face.

Sonnet took his hand with the one that the ring had been placed on, the other digging out her phone as she pressed a few buttons before closing it up again and placing it in her pocket.
"I'll live I suppose," she said with a tinge of sarcasm. "I think I'll wait to tell my family about the engagement..." she paused for a moment. "Much much later."

"Well, as long as you'll live. I don't really want to marry a dead girl." He smirked a bit and lead her back down the path to their house. "Uh, yes. Much later. I'll never hear the end of "give me grandkids" from Asu the instant she finds out. Sheesh..." He ran a hand through his hair and shook his head. "She's so ridiculous.."

Sonnet laughed. "She's still a better mom than Alice or Syth, or even Dr. Broken for that matter," she said with a shake of her head. "Though really, it's not that hard to be better parents then the fail parent duo," she chuckled as she walked along with him. Her phone made a cute chiming sound and she pulled it out with her free hand.
"All right sweetie, have a nice night, and don't worry about Deskri, he'll recover from his grumpiness eventually," she read aloud.

"That's true, I'm pretty sure just about anyone is better at parenting that they are.... were... whatever." Deskri shrugged a little. He made a bit of a face at the mention of his grumpiness. "Oh come on, why does everyone do that?" And the cycle of grumpiness continued...
