Altair plucked his boat from the bucket with a yawn, looking at it boredly and contemplating tossing it in the trash when the professor suddenly mentioned homework. Yuck, as if he had time to do that. The incubus paused before he made the decision to blow it off. Who knew how it would affect his grade, and by extension, his father's mood? Grumbling, the demon went up to Savage's desk and picked out a purple blob for himself, quirking an eyebrow at it in disgust. (( Lei))

Savage lifted a brow at Israfels display of sinking his boat.
"Well of course boats belong at the bottom of the Ocean. But they need to float so one can destroy them first." Savage nodded and smiled at the Siren. "I understand your frustrations."

She was surprised when West motioned for Jove to stay put and went up to get all three of them jars. It made her sit up, blinking at the wrath demon, before turning a slightly puzzled expression down to the boil beside her.
It was.. Well it was incredibly kind of him, and that wasn't a side of West she was used to seeing. Considering also that she had so recently been under the impression that he hated her, it was also reassuring. Clearly she'd been mistaken, happily so.
As he fetched jars, Johan got up to leave, and Yaya wiggled her fingers up at him as he turned to leave. Pointedly ignoring any vague off putting feelings he was projection towards her. Still under the firm impression that if he'd only relax a little he'd enjoy himself a little more. And relaxing meant making a few friends. She was determined.
He left, and Yaya went back to watching West as he returned to them with Jars, handing one to Jove. "Thank you."
When he offered he offered to carry her again she she was once more surprised, but grateful, nodding and taking the jars he dropped into her hands. Holding still so he could hook his arms under her legs and around her back to lift her, then grabbing her crutches. "Thanks again." Now that she had them, she peered into the jars, brows twitching at the purple blobs within. This was homework?

(( Minipet name: Enoh )) Mac was pleased with himself, but as he settled in to watch the rest of them he realized not everyone had his luck. He watched the Kelpie headdesk, and then Charlie's attempt at making him feel better...but before he could chime in with his own words of encouragement (GASP, MAC WAS CONSIDERING BEING ENCOURAGING AAAA), the Professor piped up.
Ah, so that was where the Ferrymen profession started! Humans made boats, opened ways for new terrors, and so some Reapers decided to also use it to their advantage? That made sense, silly humans. Well, he should be thankful to said silly humans!
The slime jar came out, the chart went down, and the green-clad Reaper sat forward in his seat, staring intently at the board. Humans started from blobs...? Weeeird. He was too busy studying the chart to realize that Lizzy had wandered up to him; at least until she pat him on the head.
"WHAT! Oh. It's you." There was a little pause as the reason for the head pat sunk in. "I am not a puppy." He hissed under his breath, his expression narrowing to irritation as he stood up to claim his own purple slime thing.
"Thanks, Prof." Mac waved a bit, and headed out the door with blob and boat in tow.

Save the boats for next class? Just in case? But there wasn't anything left of his boat to save! He was so confused. Weren't they supposed to sink boats and not save them? He glanced around, then reached over to the empty desk next to him and snatched an additional boat model. Being undead sometimes paid off -- if he were still alive, he probably would have ended up with someone sitting next to him. He wouldn't have been able to score an extra boat kit then. The boil waited for the rest of the class to file out before Merope approached Savage's desk. "Hey, Professor? Can I take several boat models with me?" He asked as he carefully picked up a purple blob specimin. "No reason. Er, I mean, for studying purposes. And sinking. Lots of sinking." (( Mini Profile: Marushii ))

Humans came from blobs? Siddie blinked. That seemed odd, but given how many monster types had unlikely origins, she supposed it wasn't beyond swallowing. Thank goodness she hadn't been born a cockatrice - hatching in a pile of dung? Gross. In the bad way. She didn't have as much aversion towards her boat as some of the others had, but she sighed a little when she realized that she would have to keep it. Oh, well. She could stuff it in a drawer or something so she wouldn't have to look at it. She slipped up to the front of the class and picked one of the blobs carefully out of the jar before she left. Bizarre little things, but it was homework. Were all professors crazy? Perhaps so. Perhaps it was a goal to shoot for. (( Profile: prolixity))

Jove made a very quiet grumbly noise in his throat at Yaya's subtle cuddling. It wasn't exactly like he could pull away, the part of him that was a little gentleman said he would sit there like a good little boil as she wrapped herself around him. The pup knew she didn't mean any harm. It was just her way of showing her friendship, and she seemed to enjoy it a great deal, so he tried to put up with it as gracefully as possible. He was about to extract himself from Yaya and get her a funny blob when West took up the mission. The little ghostling could only return Yaya's puzzled expression. But as the demon sauntered back, Jove noticed that West brought him a blob too! Jove's tail gave a couple hesitant wags. It really did seem like West was a nice guy under all that prickly, grumpy coating. He took the jar with ears perked curiously. So now he had a blob. He gave it a funny look. Then he stood up, little feet crunching glass as he stepped forward to take Yaya's crutches from her. He couldn't carry her like West, he wasn't big or strong enough, but he could definitely help too! ((Minipet name: Grey. =3))

Savage's toothy sharp grin grew wider at Meropes question.
"Yes. Of course Merope. You can take as many as you like." She was pleased her pupil was wanting to take extra for sinking. Very proud indeed.
"Be sure to bring one back intact and decorated though," She wagged a finger at Merope. Macs Thanks and wave did not go unnoticed. Savage turned to him and waved back, with both arms.
Class was wrapping up nicely.

Israfel pouted realizing he had to get the remains of his boat. His boat was to remain sunk. It was his boat and he would sink it like a good siren should. Sure, it didn't have any body on it, but the siren felt a need to watch it roll under the waves, and imaginary men, women, and children diving in the water, only to drown. Ir ride in life boats. Which apparently were just like little mini boats humans could and would do the same thing too eventually. After all if it could float...it could sink.
With a sigh he retrieved his boat, (or the remains of it). ".......I think I will call you the Oderpyss." Israfel was one siren, determined to sink his boat. Sink it forever. Walking over to the table, Israfel picked up a jar and gave a grim smile to the blob within. "And you will be it's captain."
The blob made a D: face.
