:: Rules :: o1. You may edit your entries up until the contest closes. o2. Be a good sport. I don't want to hear about anyone trying to dissuade people from entering. o3. Be nice. I don't want to hear about anyone accepting an offer to partner with someone, then dumping that person without a word because someone else suddenly asked them. o4. I don't want any 20 page essays. Quality is valued over quantity. Got it? o5. This thread is for entry posting only. You have questions, as them in the event thread. o6. You can only be on one team! No partnering with one person and entering for Dustox, then partnering with another and entering for Houndoom. o7. You must both work on the entry! And I don't mean one person writes it and the other edits.

:: Prompts & Form :: Prompt 1 These two were enemies long before they found themselves trapped within the Asylum’s walls. For whatever reason, the Houndoom has chosen Dustox as his prey, following her trail wherever she may go. How did this come about? How did they come to possess their injuries? Why does Houndoom hunt Dustox, and how does it all affect her? Prompt 2 Hunter and prey find themselves in the Asylum with fellow Pokemon, and something changes. Houndoom now joins Dustox in the rank of prey when they encounter the top dogs of the Asylum, the doctors. Does this change their previous hunter and prey relationship? Does Houndoom continue to hunt Dustox? Or do they join together to try and survive? What theHell Happened!?
Usernames: x blame it on the --- x || XxPrimevalPandaxX
Who is Going for Who? Houndoom || Dustox
Patient Names: Damian Doom || Poison
Brief Personality Descriptions: Damian is a very rough and tough, angry male. He hates being undermined, and hates even more when people seem to think him weak. The only time he ever seemed weak was when his younger sister was killed by a poison. He ended up finding the smell of the poisoner after that, and hunted her down. Vengeance, after all, is sweet.
Poison is a female you don’t want to mess with. She wouldn’t be afraid to just shove something unknown right into your pretty little drink and watch you suffer. Often times she seems almost cold and angry, but on others she seems like she could be a sweet girl… Except for the fact that it’s just a ploy to get you to trust her.
Your Response: Prompt One
It had been almost a year since they last saw each other. Almost a year since Damian had watched his little sister die by a poison that he never knew existed. He wasn’t going to let that affect him. Damian was driven by a vengeance that he would never let subside. Not until he killed the beast that had killed his sister. The young male hated her. Hated every fiber of that females being. He would kill her! He swore upon it!
She, on the other hand, was easily avoiding the male. Poison was great at moving away from anything that seemed to want to catch her. But for some reason, Damian always seemed one step behind, but yet so close. So, with quickening steps, the female tended to run even faster away from him, move farther out of the ground she normally stayed within. The master assassin hated the fact she was being hunted, but there was nothing she could do but flee from the male.
But now something was in their way. As Poison ran, having been discovered by Damian, she found herself out of her own territory. How did that b*****d find her! She was magnificent at hiding, but he seemed to have found her without a problem. She glared back over her shoulder momentarily, before skidding to a stop, staring up toward a large building that seemed to be dead on the outside. Her eyes flickering, she was distracted for a little bit too long.
Damian was on her quickly. He jumped the female, snarling like a mad dog, and slashing at her, his clawed nails digging into her back and dragging down. Letting out a sharp cry, she grabbed his arm and flipped him over her shoulder, causing Damian to land harshly on his back. Adrenaline pumping, the Houndoom rolled over, growled and got back up, in a very intimidating stance to attack.
”How did you find me?!” She hissed, her eyes narrowing at the male.
Damian shifted a bit, before pulling out a small object in what appeared to be a ziplock bag. The bag contained a piece of a wing. A piece of a green wing. He smirked some, before tucking it back into his pocket. She understood completely. When Poison had killed the little girl that watched her murder another man, she had caught something, and it tore part of her wing, leaving a piece behind. And he was a dog… So there was obviously a heightened sense of smell.
But that was for another story. Snarling, the two attacked again. Poison pulled out a blade, concealed within her outfit, and almost completely flat. She ducked out of his attack, before slashing up. The blade caught, and dragged up along his stomach from his hip. Damian jumped back, hissing in pain and looked down at the wound, before up at her, snarling lowly. He ran back at her.
Another confrontation, but this time, Damian had the upper hand. He jumped on the female, knocking her off his feet, before snarling, and slashed at her eye. In doing so, his claws caught, and seemed to rip the eye from the socket, before he jumped back at the feel of the blade again. Poison coughed some, wincing and trying not to cry out, before standing. She reached to feel at her eye, only to realize it wasn’t there, and anger seemed to pump through her blood even faster.
They fought for what seemed like several more hours, before both seemed exhausted, and were on their knees, panting. Damian tried one last attempt to move toward her, but fell forward onto the dirt, wincing, before passing out. Poison smirked in triumph, but felt a sharp pain at the back of her neck. She yelped, winced, and then blacked out, her body shaking a couple times before she was gone.
The two men who worked at the Asylum smirked. They dragged the two bodies toward the large castle like building, and talked happily about how they now had two more patients, both of which would make life a little more interesting at their job. With such a hateful relationship, things were bound to be riled up in one way or another.

What theHell Happened!? Usernames: Yousei Akki and Chi Honda Who is Going for Who? Houndoom- Yousei ; Dustox- Chi Patient Names: Houndoom: Bite, Dustox: Ambala Brief Personality Descriptions: Bite: Being raised in a science facility from a child up, Bite lacks some social skills that teens often have already come to terms with as they grow. Bite has the longing feeling to belong somewhere. He feels as if he has missed out on something important and it agitates him. He is a strong and independent boy, who has a small issue with failure. Meaning he can't stand it. Being second best is bad enough, being anything less is intolerable. Bite has spent nearly the entirety of his life being told what to do by people he had a growing dislike for, now that they are no longer in control of him, Bite is chomping at the bit to find exactly what he's been missing in his life.
Ambala: Ambala is a strong and well trained female, one that no guy or girl would ever want to go up against in battle. Her senses are well adapted for any type of battle she may enter; she is the type of girl who is never unprepared for fight. Though if you are lucky and you are able to enter into her select alliance of friends. She might just show a different more caring side, a side that will always care for you until the day she is defeated. Deep down though within her heart she is a dreamer; a person who always wished her life could be have been a fairytale and not a tragedy.
Your Response: -Prompt One-
Bite's life had been completely wrapped up in the four walls of the dark blue room for as long as he could remember. The tailless people in their white coats brought him food and cloths. They were like his parents, the ones he read about in books.Though none of them ever acknowledged his questions about who his mommy was. One day things changed for him though. All of his stuff was packed up, well really it was all the tailless peoples stuff as he didn't think any of it was actually his, and they ushered him out and to a bigger room. Bite's orange eyes were wide with awe as he noted the bigger room, and the strange training items within it. His small tail swayed from side to side in his excitement. The small nubbins of his horns poked up through his dark hair that fell a little messily over his eyes. As he stood there, uncertain what to do, the door opened and someone else was brought into the room. This was the first time that Bite had ever looked upon the little Detox girl. He couldn't believe his eyes. She was strange, like him. She didn't look like the tailless adults. She...she Was so pretty. Bite's tail swayed back and forth quickly as he stared at her. He turned his gaze away from her as the adult would explain that this was his partner. From now on they were going to have lessons together. Together! Bite's heart swelled with eager expectation. Shyly he stepped towards the girl and held his hand out towards her, all the while bowing his head and mumbling under his breath. "Hi. M' Bite. It'sa pleasure to meetchu." He mumbled in embarrassment. This was just so wonderful, just like a story in the book! Now he had a friend...a partner? And...family?
Ambala had never really truly understood where she came from. She read from stories that it seemed like each person came from a family. Sadly though she wasn't sure since if that was true where was her family? The farthest back she could remember was opening her eyes and looking around in what they called her room. It was a place built of four cold walls, with a bed that felt like rock, and people who rushed around her day and night. Never once did she have the happy family setting they told of in storybooks. She never even knew who these people were that came into her room. As soon as a person came into her room, it was only a matter of seconds before they would leave. Except for on training days, these were days when she would be awoke from her sleep and told to get up. They told her not to argue and just do what they said or there would be consequences. So she just listened and did everything they said to do for what seemed like years. She would fight and train even after she could feel her strength deplete.
Was this life she would always wonder deep in her mind, if so where was her fairytale ending? She was being to lose hope and her mind, until one day when she was told to get up and forced out of her room. She was then led into an area with what looked to be another person. He was different than her but not by much from what she could tell. Ambala moved herself close to him and just cocked his head to the side. These meetings went on for several days almost exactly the same way, during each of them she would just listen and smile towards the person. It didn’t take long for her to find out his name was bite and he lived he too. Part of her always did wonder though, what was a boy and a girl? Were there really that many differences between the two? She soon forgot those thoughts though since no matter what he seemed really nice. It wasn't long before she grew to treasure their meetings every day. As they grew older her heart even began to feel something for the boy, it was a feeling she had never experienced before. This feeling was love, love for the boy who made her want to keep living every day. That was until something changed, they were no longer allowed to meet as friends but forced to meet as enemies. They had just hit their teen years when these people forced them to fight. At first she refused and just sat down in her room not moving from her place. Then they found the way to make her fight, they told her that if she didn't they would torture her companion. That if she dare not fight him and use all her true strength, they would make sure something happened to him. So that was the day the chaos started and lead them to where they are now. Not a day goes by she doesn't wish she could turn back the clock, and stop this all from happening.
Bite was enthusiastic with the new lessons. Having the girl, Ambala, there with him gave him a happy sense of peace. He looked forwards to their lessons and was positive he was learning them better then he had before. So when the lessons changed from working together, to being pitted against each other...Bite was agitated. He was not sure what to think of this. Ambala had been like his family now. To have her placed before him as an opponent ran contrary to every feeling he had come to accept. Bite's tail could not stop swinging in agitation, and it grew even more intense when Ambala seemed to accept this situation! He had thought Ambala would have resisted. She was more...gentle. Softer. Bite could not imagine her being this aggressive. For as long as he had known her he had always felt like the strong one. Now she was challenging him?
Bite's inner turmoil blinded him to the clear distress Ambala herself was feeling. When she met him in battle, he grew angry and frustrated. This was a failing on his part, for it made him sloppy and unfocused while he fought. Ambala, keeping her head, managed to best him. Again and again, each sparring fight they engaged in left Bite more chaotic and frustrated. He felt like a failure, to lose again and again to the girl he had been so positive was weaker then he was. His self confidence suffered and what had once been such a warm feeling of fondness spoiled until all he felt was anger and hatred at the sight of Ambala.
In due time, when they both became teens, it seemed their period of training was complete. It was time for them to be put to use in the way they had been intended. Bite and Ambala were sent out to a honest battlefield as support to some humans in combat. They were given a target, some small building that was serving as a stronghold base for the enemy. Bite was eager to embrace the chance to fight someone other then Ambala, and he raced over the battleground with little concern for his own well being. Yet, for all his youthful eagerness, Ambala still seemed, to him, to be besting him. She was graceful and quick. She seemed to be taking down more enemies then he was somehow. This clear superiority drove Bite to desperate measures. He burst into the stronghold without waiting for Ambala. He skidded inside and glanced around while feeling finally a sense of accomplishment. He had at least beat her here to the target!
It was Ambala however who noticed the bomb. Her shout of alarm that drew his eyes to it and the blinking countdown. Seconds remained. Mere seconds and not enough time to escape. Bite glanced towards Ambala and felt...felt...he felt?
He couldn't quiet remember what had happened. That hatred had vanished and something more painful replaced it. Bite remembered dashing across the floor to Ambala, and he remembered the pain. The flash of light and the ear ringing blast. Bite remembered pain, tearing through his body as he positioned himself between Ambala and the bomb. Then...nothing...
The people began to try and warp her mind of the events that had happened, telling her things such as what you saw Bite do was the wrong behavior. As soon as the people finished explaining the event that had happened, they quickly told her she would have to be used to punish him. The first punishment fight would start tomorrow morning once he came to his senses. At this point her head was spinning and anger build up inside of her, as she quickly yelled NO! She explained to them that she refused to fight him, he had saved her life and she would not lay a hand on him. One of the people in the room came and slapped her across the face telling her she was being stupid. Nothing that could say or do to her would change her mind that much she knew. She wasn’t going to fight him ever again, he was the only person who helped her to survive and now it was her turn to repay the favor. Deep down inside though she wanted to beg these people to tell her how Bite was doing. In the end though she refused to drop down to their level, and instead sat there with her arms crossed refusing to fight or let alone move from her spot.
It was damn humiliating, that is exactly what it was. Sure, he had not been cooperative since the mission. Bite had a good reason to be though. As he had healed, he had been plagued by his own thoughts. He had thought he hated Ambala. In fact, the mere thought of her now made him want to pull himself over to her and challenge her. Yet if he hated her, why had he placed himself directly in the way of the bomb? He had taken a great deal of damage and almost died, all to protect her? He now had a ugly scar on his boy from the shrapnel and Ambala...one of her eyes. That beautiful soulful eye... It drove Bite to distraction. He couldn't focus on some stupid mission now, and he just did not want to listen anymore.
It was all their faults. These scientists. These false mothers and fathers. So cold and withdrawn. Somehow this was all their fault. So no. Even under the threat of punishment, Bite refused to obey.
It was no excuse for -this- treatment though. After so many refusals on his, and apparently Ambala's part, the scientists had enough. Bite found himself tazered into a limp and helpless state. His body had been chucked into a crate of all things. a CRATE! Small air-holes allowed a filtering of light to seep into the box. Bite was rocked around in the box as it was moved, and when he was finally able to move, he slammed his feet on the sides of the box and howled. Again and again, he let his anger fill him as he tried to escape the box. He thought he could hear Ambala as well. Had they also boxed her up too? Somehow that thought...it made his fury all the hotter. How dare they treat her like that!
Eventually they arrived at their destination, and Bite's box was opened. He was spilled out onto a hard floor and blinked at the weird place he was around him. The smells were all so muddled..and Ambala... Bite saw her suffering the same treatment as himself. His heart twisted into two directions. Part of him wanted to snarl and growl at the ones who were quickly abandoning him..and part wanted to growl at her. Bite's eyes glazed over with his conflict, and with a small whine, he spun and tore off at a blind run. He wanted to...to attack her... he wanted to wrap her up in his arms and cradle her. He wanted to bite her. He wanted to..kiss her? What...what was this? What was wrong with him!? Bite shook his head as he fled blindly into the asylum to seek some lonely place to hide and try to come to terms with his own conflicted feelings.
