Any thoughts? Speculations? Is Judas having steady sales, recognition, radio airplay? I haven't heard of it since Edge of Glory came out.
Things to look out for: May performance of Judas on the finale. What do you think will happen? Boost of sales etc etc?

It was a fluctuating quite a bit on the Billboard, but the good news is that it debuted at #10, went to #12 the next week so obviously people weren't feeling it, and then now it's back to #10. I guess it's growing on people?
As for sales, it's nowhere near as strong as BTW was when it came out. The main factor is that people are judging the song literally by its chorus. You'd be surprised how many people will go from being a fan to hating Gaga through ignorance and religious reasons.
On the flip side of that, I think the music video helped it quite a bit and the explanations that Gaga's been giving out. People just keep jumping to conclusions saying that it's all about loving Judas and it's wrong.
And which finale are you talking about? A live Judas performance? If that's the case, I really think it'll only boost sales significantly if she polishes it up like she did with Alejandro. Her performance on Ellen really showed her fatigue because of all the dancing and she didn't really get all of her vocals out.

You're right about the charts though. I never expected to be in the top 3.

Yes I meant the live American Idol finale performance. smile It should rise by then anyway. I just want the hard evidence to repel Gaga haters.

Edge of Glory is gonna be Gaga's third single off of the album. I'm pretty sure that will get big numbers.

The song is a step away from her mind-numbing, catchy beats, so a lot of young mindless America will not be asking for radioplay for EoG as much as they did PokerFace or her other #1 hits. What it will catch is a ton of good sales because I imagine a lot of the older folk who were in love with the 80s-90s will have the money to buy. The reason why Gaga is putting this out as a single is because she got tons of rave reviews from CRITICS and fans. At least it's what I read.

Maybe because Edge of Glory came out really closely to Judas, so people immediately started playing it more because it's the "next best thing" Like, when people are buying iPads and then the iPad 2 comes out and everyone drops their iPads to get the new one. Everyone wants what's new and exciting, no exception to the pop music industry.
I dunno, that's just how I see it. Personally, I like Judas better than Edge of Glory. c:
