Netherworld Overlord-Has
Bounty Hunt: Murse Roy

Across Kanto, Pokemon who were in need of intensive care have been going missing. This string of crimes seems to mimic the old Center Thefts from ten years ago, but catching the culprit then was easy. The femme fatale from those days was identified as taking the Pokemon straight from the rejuvenation machine directly behind the counter (in plain sight) which was used for treating Pokemon with every ailment up to unconsciousness. This thief is a bit smarter though. Instead of taking Pokemon up front, or even being seen working in plain sight, this ne’er-do-well stays in back patching up severely injured Pokemon. Once they’re in good shape, both the nurse and Pokemon are never seen again.

Sadly, we don’t have a clear description of the criminal. No one has seen the Nurse, or should I say, Murse responsible without a costume on. There are only two common traits that the handfuls of eye witness reports seemingly agree on: facial hair stubble and a very small Adam’ Apple. Other than that, this false Nurse Joy (referred to as Murse Roy) stays in character fairly well.

Based on the thief’s patterns, he’s going to be striking in Pewter City next. It’s closest to his theorized hideout in Mt. Moon (since most of the thefts have occurred in Vermillion, Pewter, Cerulean, and Viridian). If you want to have a shot at nabbing this freak, take one of your Pokemon, but have it swallow a tracer provided by the police. From there you must track the fraud to her…erm…his hideout deep within Mt. Moon (there may be traps or even some guards), and subdue the freak. Be sure to locate any stolen Pokemon too!

Objectives:
• Fall into the fraud’s scam with your bugged Pokemon
• Infiltrate the hideout by tracking your Pokemon
• Navigate any traps and take on any lackeys that may appear
• Subdue the criminal (the poster wants him ALIVE)
• Liberate any stolen Pokemon

Opposition:
• The Murse may have some Pokemon any Nurse Joy would have plus some stolen ones (use your imagination)
• The guards will carry two Pokemon each whose evolution level matches that of your highest evo (if you have a first evo and a third evo, they will each carry two fully evolved Pokemon)

Rewards:
• 20,000PD
• The respect of Joy’s everywhere
• Egg if good.

Today was the day...Dan had recently accepted a mission to thwart a fraud Nurse Joy in Pewter City. Everyone seemed to be calling him Murse Roy and he had to admit, based on the description, it fit. First he had to stop by the police station in order to get the tracking device. "Hello, I came to get a tracking device" Dan spoke to the woman at the counter. "Oh, so you're the brave pokemon trainer everyones been talking about. I was told to give this to you when you came by." She handed him a small box, no bigger than Rain's scalchop. As he left the building, he opened the box, revealing a small mechanical black pill and a device that looked like a small black Vs. Recorder. Now to decide who swallows it...He calls both pokemon in question out and explains the situation. Long story short, Bucky got the short end of the stick. Dan walked down the dimmlitted alley with a crying Bucky in his arms. Sure enough the suspect was cosplaying as Nurse Joy again. "Why, little boy...you're Bidoof looks horrible. Why don't you let me fix him up?" the fraud said with a smile. More like a wicked, decieving smile if you asked Dan. Regardless, he agreed with a smile, handing over the soon to be captive Bidoof. Moments later, both Murse Roy and Bucky were gone. And the chase began...He purchased five potion for Rain since he'd only be using him until he got Bucky back. Using the small device from earlier, he began to followed the dot and surprise, surprise, it lead him to Mt. Moon. Just as he approached the entrance he crouched down next to his pokemon. "Ready to go Rain?" Dan asked his partner. He responded with "Oshawa!" Inside, it wasn't as dark as he expected it to be thanks to the lights hung up on the walls. First, Dan wanted to find Bucky so he wouldn't only have one pokemon on hand. With the device it would be no problem. Chances were that Bucky would be with the other stolen pokemon, killing two Pidgey with a single Geodude. Dan followed the dot on the screen and it seemed to be taking him down to the lowest level. Then he came across a man made entrance and sure enough it led straight to the stolen pokemon. Of course there was a guard. "Hey kid! This place is restricted. Leave now or face the consequences." He then sent out a Zubat to show he meant business. "Well then, Rain use Water Gun." Rain took aim and fired his stream of water at Zubat, knocking it back a little. "Zubat, Bite! Wing Attack!" "Dodge and use Razor Shell" Dan orders. Rain dodged the bite but took the slap from Zubat's wing. But he didn't falter as he used Razor Shell, taking Zubat down for good. "Pretty good but you can't beat Geodude!" As he said this, Dan gave him a look which meant 'Seriously...' Regardless, the guard sent out the Geodude who immediately fainted from a Razor Shell attack. "Fine, I don't care anymore. I just wanna go home. Take the keys" he cries as he dropped said keys on the ground and ran out. Taking out a potion, Dan sprayed Rain to heal him. With a smirk, he picked up the keys victoriously and unlocked Bucky's cage. He leapt onto Dan with joy, glad to be back. All of the pokemon in the cages had the most depressing looks on their faces. "Don't worry, I'm going to save all you guys but first..." Dan turned around to face the Murse her-himself "I gotta apprehend this guy." "Little boy! You don't understand I was about to...errm...return these pokemon to their loving owners" he says with a crooked smile. "Uh huh...and why are they in cages?" "To...umm...well- Oh fine you found me out but you won't take me in!" He shouts as he sends out a Happiny who was anything but happy. Judging by the sad look on her face, she had to have been fighting against her will. A stolen pokemon. "Rain help me out here! Razor Shell!" Rain charged forward and slashed the upset Happiny. "What are you doing you worthless...! Tackle it now!" Murse Roy commanded. Happiny trudged along and pulled off a very weak Tackle attack. Rain took the full force of the attack but didn't move an inch. "Water Gun to end this..." Thus Happiny went down and was returned to its pokeball. He then threw the pokeball at Dan who caught it. "Get out my sight! Time for a real pokemon to handle this.Go Audino!" Audino was complete diffrent from Happiny as it was ready to fight. "Rain use Tail Whip!" Audino's eye began to follow the motion of Rain's swaying tail. "Use Double Slap!" Audino then began slapping Rain repetetively. "Razor Shell!" "Attract!" Rain got in the hit unfortunately..."Rain? Are you ok?" "Oshawawa~" Rain was now helplessly under Audino's love spell. No choice but to switch out. "Return Rain...Go Bucky!" Truth be told, it would be Bucky first real battle outside of training. Dan only hoped all that training would pay off now. "Defense Curl, Bucky!" "Attract!" As Bucky curled up into a little ball, Audino fired its Attract. "Dodge with Rollout!" Dan shouts with quick thinking. Bucky rolled out of the way and into Audino. After hitting it twice, Audino went down. "Oh crap! I'm getting outta here" the Murse said as he began to run. "Bucky, get him!" Bucky was still using Rollout and rolled right into the fraud."Gotcha now Murse Roy!" Dan smirked as he placed his foot on his back. "Ugh! My name's Chuck..." "Shut up!" Moments later the authority arrived and arrested..."Chuck". "You're lucky you pulled this crap using the Joy's name. Cuz you don't mess with the Jenny's" Officer Jenny lectured him. The stolen pokemon were returned to their rightful owners and a little girl was especially happy to have her Happiny back. "About the tracker...did you want that ba-" "Keep it" the officer responded to Dan's question in a discusted tone. All in all it was a mission success for Dan.

Look! Up in the Sky! It's a.... Slaking? - Easy/Medium Mission

It seems like when the world needs a hero, a hero emerges from the shadows to step up. So it is in this case, but it's a hero with a twist. A Slaking in a cape has 'declared' itself the defender of Lavaridge. However, while trying to help with things like old ladies crossing the street and petty crooks, it really causes a lot more damage than it prevents. Go there, follow it, and see if you can get it to stop.

--

Description:
Basically follow a Slaking that seems to think it's a super hero around and try and stop it without injuring it. It is only trying to do good after all.

Opposition:
Whatever crime the Slacking runs into.

Pokémon:
You can snag a 1st/2nd Evo available at your rank.

Rewards:
Varies based on performance.

Dan checked his bag, ensuring all needed items were present and accounted for. Rain, Dan’s Oshawott, rested on his shoulder, watching as item by item went into the bag. “All right…” Dan sends out Diva, his Ralts “Can you take us to Olivine City?” Due to her small amount of power, she could only take them so far. A flash of light and they were in Olivine City. From there he took a rented boat all the way to Slateport City, Hoenn. Then he showed Diva a map so she could teleport them to Lavaridge Town. Another flash of light and Dan was in Lavaridge.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The first thing he took note of was its humid air most likely due to it being at the bottom of a volcano. Nevertheless, he was here and now he had to find Slaking. “Super King!” he heard a group of kids shout. They were surrounding the Slaking and cheering for him. “I thought Slaking was despised” Dan said aloud. “He is…by the adults that is. The kids love him though. We can’t get them to understand he’s too hazardous to our town, no matter how helpful” an elderly man answered him. “Uhh…thanks” Dan says smiling weakly. In any case he would have to watch him for awhile before confronting him. Dan wrote down some of the things Slaking was doing: Slaking helped a Skitty down from a tree and threw said tree into a house, caught a thief and broke the stolen item in the process, found buried treasure and destroyed the garden in the process, and finally defeated his archenemy, Machamp but destroyed the local Pokémon Center in the process. Keep in mind this all went down in an hour. Now was the time to talk. “Hey Super- err… Slaking! Got a minute?” He happily came towards Dan, stepping on a flower in the process. Poor guy was a walking disaster… “Listen Slaking… about this whole superhero gig… I know you mean well but…” “Hey Super King!” shouted an unknown voice. Two guys with all black outfits and bold red ‘R’s on them had appeared. “We are Team Rocket self proclaimed elites. I’ve heard about how strong you are so me and my buddy he is going to capture you. From here on out, you work for Team Rocket!” “Hold on a second!” Dan yelled at them. Then without warning, one of them threw a pokeball at Slaking, trying to catch him. But it didn’t work. The pokeball would envelop him in red light then disappear as if it never happened. “Slaking you… have an owner?” “Enough of this! Guess we gotta do this the Rocket way!” Grunt ‘A’ shouted as he sent out an Ariados. Grunt ‘B’ sent out a Rhyhorn. “Hey Slaking, let’s team up. Go Rain!” Rain jumped off Dan’s shoulder, crossed his arms, and smiled. “Ariados use Spider Web! That Slaking won’t be running from us.” Slaking watched as the web flew behind him preventing his escape and prepared his signature move. “Look Super King is fighting! And he’s about to use his Focus Punch!” “Rain use Razor Shell on Rhyhorn.” “You use Thunder Fang!” Thunder Fang?! Dan thought as he saw Rhyhorn’s fang begin to collect electricity. “Spin around it Rain!” The Thunder Fang missed and Rain slashed Rhyhorn across the face with the blue extending blade of the scalchop. It was already weak since it was really weak to water. “Ariados use Poison Sting on-” But it was too late. Slaking was already in front of Ariados and made it faint with one hit. Now that left Rhyhorn…Dan had a smirk on his face as he used his SNAG and threw a pokeball at Rhyhorn. One, two, three, and a click! Rhyhorn was his now. “Damn it’s too strong. Let’s get out of here!” Grunt ‘A’ shouted as he and his partner ran off. “Yay! Go Super King!” the children cheered. “I never thought I’d say it but… good job, Super King” one of the adults praised. This made Slaking extra happy as he began to dance. “All right then. I think it’s time I help you now... Super King” Dan says grinning at the Slaking.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Moments later, Slaking’s trainer had arrived in Lavaridge Town. “Slacks! This is where you were. After we got separated, you must’ve returned home, where we started our journey” the young trainer said. The children said there farewells to Slaking as he and his trainer departed. Dan smirked seeing now that Lavaridge Town would no longer be destroyed by Slaking and he found his trainer. Not to mention Team Rocket helped him acquire a new ally for his team. “Let’s go Rain, our job here is done” he says as he heads back to HQ. “Osha! Oshawa!”

This mission is all about what you want to happen to your hometown, and gives you a chance to lay down some back story for your character. Ridiculousness in this mission will not be tolerated. Show what shaped your character into the person he/she is today, and protect the place you once called home. Protect your heart.

Objectives:
Defend your hometown from destruction.

Pokemon:
You may snag one first or second evo available at your rank, if you have trainer opposition.

Rewards:
Depends on how well it was done, and how much backstory you added to your character.

Dan cycled through list of missions on his SNAG as Rain looked over his shoulder. Surely one would peak his interest eventually. And peak it did, a mission on a disturbance in Ecruteak City. Before he read all the details, Dan accepted the mission and began to head to the city, his home. He was already in Violet City so a quick ride by hoverboard got him there quickly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He stood before the entryway, taking in the sight of the town. It brought back so many memories and it was good to be back. As he walked through the town, Dan recognized many faces, making his way to the Dance Hall.
"Man, I can't wait to see mom. She'll be happy to see I got a little friend too" he says to Rain who smiled happily.
Inside the Dance Hall, the smell of flowers and morning mist hit Dan in the face. Three of the seven Kimono Girls stood on stage huddled in a group. There wasn't an audience which threw Dan off. One of the Kimono Girls realized Dan was there and approached him.
"I'm sorry but we're currently closed" she told him.
"Ms. Sayo, it's me, Dan."
"Dan? Oh! It is you! What are you doing here?" she shouted, drawing the other girls over.
"Danny welcome home!"
"Daniel, we haven't seen you in seven years!"
"I know. I was studying in school for five years and afterwards I joined Team Snagem" he told them as he showed them his SNAG.
The three girls got silent.
"You're a Snagem?" Miki asked.
"Umm...yeah why?" Dan answered curiously.
The Kimono Girl by the name Kuni answered hesitantly "Well then that means you're here about the incident."
For the time he was here, he forgot he was here on a mission.
"That's right! Umm...let's see..."
Dan looked down at his SNAG to read the mission's details.
"Find the missing Kimono Girls?! What?!" Dan shouted in shock.
In a way, Dan saw the Kimono Girls as his aunts as they would all care for him when he was younger.
"Wait...where's mom?" There was a long silence before they answered "We...don't know...She's one of the four missing..."
Now this mission was personal.
"Don't worry, I'll find everyone. Just stay together here" Dan warned them before darting off.
"Daniel!" they shouted out to him.
He couldn't hear them, he couldn't think...he needed to clear his head. The Bellchime Trail...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Barrier Station was the entrance to the Bellchime Trail as well as Dan's home. He came here expecting to see Grandpa Kin but it seemed he was out. On the Bellchime Trail, it's quiet and peaceful. The sight of the golden leaves and scent of autumn is the best way to see the nature in this city. Only the privileged can enter so it was no surprise to see Morty here.

"Morty...long time no see" Dan said when he saw him.

"Hey if it isn't little Daniel. Come to clear your head huh?" he said with a smirk.

He knew him well. This trail was one of Dan's favorite places to come when he was upset.

"Yeah I just need to calm down. You still hoping to meet Ho-Oh?"
"Absolutely. You know I can't give that up. Well I suppose I should be heading back to the gym. Take care" Morty says as he waves from behind.

Rain hopped off of Dan's shoulder and stood in front of him.

"Osha! Oshawa! Osh!"

Rain was right, whatever he was trying to say, Dan knew he had to pull himself together. He kneeled down and pet Rain on his head.

"Thanks buddy. Now...let's find mom!"

Rain hopped back onto his shoulder and walked back into the Barrier Station. Grandpa Kin and Grandpa Gin were there now. Grandpa Kin was his mother's father and a wise man who taught Dan mentally through discipline and old legends. Granpa Gin was his father's father and taught Dan physically through swordsmanship.

"Ahh! Daniel! I heard you were home!...You better not had been trying to get into the Bell Tower again" Grandpa Kin warned him.
"I wasn't!" 'But maybe later' Dan thought.
"Oi! Is that an Oshawott on your shoulder? I've been looking for one for ages! What do you say you let me train him for a bit?" Grandpa Gin offered.

Granpa Gin loved to train swordsmen, figures he'd want to train a pokemon with the closest thing to a sword. "Uhh...what do you say Rain? I'll pick you up before I leave the city." Rain nodded as he hopped off of his shoulder. "Oh and take this with you." Grandpa Gin gave Dan a katana with a jet black sheath. Upon closer inspection, the blade itself was black ingraved with japanese words meaning 'Heart of Gold' on one side and 'A Silver Soul'. "A gift from your grandfathers. Gin came up with the words while I made the thing. Pure Steelix...dyed black" Grandpa Gin stated. "It doesn't matter who did what. Just...be safe Daniel" Grandpa Kin told him. "Don't worry I will. I'll be back soon" he shouts as he straps the sword on his back.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dan began by questioning some of the people if they saw anything unusual. There weren't many leads or clues. It was as if they vanished into thin air. If only he had Bucky with him, he could track them down using their belongings. But maybe... Dan sent out Diva who yawned upon arrival. "Diva! Can you read thoughts with telepathy?" Diva responded with a nod. "Then can you listen for someone who's singing?" Dan knew his mother sung to herself to calm down. It was all he could go on. Moments later, she picked up on something. She used Teleport and took Dan to the place she heard it...in front of the Burned Tower!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Throughout his childhood, Dan was always told that the Burned Tower was dangerous as it could collapse any moment. Yet only the bravest tourist entered. Dan walked inside remembering that he only entered once before being chased out by angry Zubat. This time was diffrent as he had a goal to save the ones he loved. Nobody was around but he could hear voices below ground.

"Man this is my greatest plan yet! Kimono Girls for pokemon, who wouldn't accept that offer" someone said."Plus, I get to have their pokemon too! Should I catch the remaining three? Yeah, tonight I'll get the rest!"

Dan teleported down in front of the goons with help from Diva.

"Ah! What the hell?!" the goon shouted.

To his left, the Kimono Girls sat bound in ropes.

"Release them now or else!" Dan warned.
"Dan is that you?" one of the Kimono Girls questioned.
"It is Dan! Run and get help!" another shouted.
"It's ok. I can handle this" he assured them.

The goon smirked as he said "I choose...or else!"

The goon sent out a Houndour who barked loudly.

"Go Goliath!"

The large Rhyhorn came out stomping, ready to fight.

"Lets go, Rock Throw!"

Goliath looked at him and then used Horn Attack which missed. Houndour retaliated with Bite.

"Wha-? But...you said if I let you battle you'd listen to me!"

Goliath scoffed at Dan and proceeded to use Horn Attack. This time it hit a burned and unstable beam, knocking it down. Debris fell all over Goliath who then took a hit from another Bite attack.

"Ever since I snagged you from Team Rocket...could it be you prefered to be with them?" Dan says frustrated.
"Wait...you snagged this Rhyhorn from Team Rocket? That means you're the one who took my Rhyhorn!" the goon shouts as he removes his disguise.

He was the same Rocket Grunt from his last mission.

"Thanks for returning him to me. Now come here Rhyhorn!"

Unexpectedly, Goliath came to the grunt's side.

"Goliath...fine. Shark I need your help!"

Shark emerged, flexing the muscles he thought he had. Dan only sighed at his strange little pokemon.

"Sand Tomb on Houndour. Diva...standby" he said sadly.

Shark sunk Houndour into the ground, while Diva couldn't attack Rhyhorn. Rhyhorn used Thunder Fang on Diva causing a lot of damage.

"Diva! How could you Goliath? She's your friend."

Goliath seemed to contemplate that thought before the grunt gave him another command. Houndour still stuck, had to use Ember which was aimed at Diva. She could no longer stand as she fainted.

"Rhyhorn use Take Down on that Ralts. Make him suffer!"

Rhyhorn didn't understand, she was already knocked out yet the grunt told him to attack anyway. He charged forward, aiming at Diva when Dan did the unthinkable. He stood in Rhyhorn's path, taking the hit for Diva. The attack sent him flying into a pillar, knocking it down.

"Daniel" his mother shouted.
"Ha! Serves him right!" the grunt chuckled.

Then, Rhyhorn saw what kind of trainer Dan really was and what kind of trainer the grunt was.

"Grahhh!" Rhyhorn growled.

Goliath turned around and fired Rock Blast at Houndour and the Grunt. Houndour fainted and the grunt went flying into the wall.

"Ugh...Goliath? Your helping me?" Dan asked as he stood, wiping the blood from his mouth.

Goliath responded with a nod and a smile. Dan smiled as he returned Diva.

"Alright...then let's finish this!"
"Try your best! Go all three of you!"

The grunt sent out three more Houndour, all intimidating in their own way. But there was a problem...he had three but Dan only had two.

"Oshaaaaa!"

Rain fell from the gaping hole in the ceiling, landing on Dan.

"Rain? Just in time. Help me take these guys out."

This match would be over before it started. Rain, Shark, and Goliath each took a Houndour, taking them out in a single hit.

"N-no! Not again!" the grunt screamed as he fell to the floor in defeat.

Rain cut the ropes bounding the Kimono Girls with his newly sharpened scalchop.

"Dan you were amazing!"
"Excellent job!" Dan could only smile as he returned Shark and Goliath.
"Well then. Let's get out of here."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Outside, Officer Jenny was waiting and promptly arrested the grunt.
"Alright come with me...are you crying?" Jenny questioned him.
"I don't wanna go to jail..." he pleaded.
"Suck it up. You do the crime and, Dialga help me, you will do the time!"
"How did the police know to come to Burned Tower?" Dan questioned a male officer.
"With all the noise coming from that tower, something had to be up."
As the police took the grunt away, the crowd of people began to dissipate aswell. Dan and the Kimono Girls returned to the Dance Hall where both of his grandfathers were waiting.
"Daniel I am so proud of you. You have become quite the young man, just like your father" his mother told him, hugging him tightly.
"I...Thanks mom" he says returning the hug.
"I have something to give you."
Dan's mother pulled a Shell Bell out of he sleeve and handed it to Dan.
"Take care of yourself, you here me?" she says now crying.
"I will, I promise..."
She looks to Rain who was on Dan's shoulder.
"You watch over my son too, ok?"
"Oshawott!" he responds as he pats his chest.
As Dan and Rain left, he waved goodbye, slowly getting further and further from the Dance Hall.
"Oh wait we can't leave yet" he says to Rain.
"Osha?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dan sat atop the Bell Tower, successfully sneeking past the guard yet again. He had brought his pokemon out to enjoy the view of the sunset on Ecruteak City.

"This is my home guys. That means it's your home too" he told them.

They all nodded in agreement as they huddled around their trainer. This is one mission Dan was glad to say was a success.

Eggs Over Easy

This should be a simple one for you, or so I hope…we’ve been called upon to escort an egg, a Pokemon egg that is, from the Sinnoh Region’s own Pokemon Daycare in Solaceon Town to the Kanto Region, the Sevii Islands to be precise at Resort Gorgeous for Lady Selphy. Now, if you know your ‘important’ people, that should tell you why an escort mission is made here. Lady Selphy is a bit…overprotective…right…

Anyways, humor her for the time being and get that egg to her. Go from Solaceon Town, escorting the day care man with the egg all the way to Resort Gorgeous. Though, I’m a pessimist and I don’t think it’s going to be as easy as I want to believe. We’re Snagems…weird stuff happen to us every day…

Objective
---Escort the man from the daycare to Lady Selphy

Opposition
---Optional. This is more story based than anything. If you want opposition, go for it. In actuality, I’m looking for a few laughs in this.

Pokemon
---Feel free to capture one on your trip legit at your rank.

Rewards
---As said, Im looking for a nice story, along with a few laughs. Make it good and the rewards will be just as good if not better

Reading over the mission, apparently being a escort mission, Dan began to prepare to head out. Usually he would carry a full team but this time he decided to leave one in storage. "Sorry Goliath, maybe next time" he says as the pokeball is whisked off by the machine. Bag packed, he headed to the Claydol, having it send him to Solaceon Town.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was beyond Dan as to why Lady Selphy requested an egg all the way from Sinnoh but he digressed. As he entered the daycare, the old man was sleeping in a chair, a cylinder shaped basket with straps on it, sat beside the old man. The old woman behind the counter saw Dan's SNAG and knew he was there to escort her husband.
"Hello, welcome. I'm Mrs.Dae and this is my husband Mr.Dae. Sweety wake up, the young Snagem is here to guide you" she said to him.
"Wha? Already?" the old man says waking up.
He picked up the basket and placed it on the counter. Mrs.Dae went in back and brought back an egg, placing it in the basket. Mr.Dae places the bag on his back and approaches Dan with a smile.
"So? Ready for our long trip?" the old man asked.
"Uhh... yeah. Let's go" Dan says as he steps outside.
````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
As he and the old man stepped outside, Dan was welcomed with a Thundershock.
"A-a-a-ahhh!!"
"Pi, Picha, Picha, Pi!"
The culprit was Pichu who was laughing at the shocked snagem.
"Oh my. It seems Pichu is up to her tricks again" the old man says shaking his head.
"Ugh. Whose Pichu is this?"
"Pichu was hatched here in the daycare. Although she was disowned by her trainer and so she's practically wild" he explained.
A smirk crawled on Dan's face as he pulled out a pokeball.
"Oh really? Then I think I will jus-"
And Pichu was gone before he could say anymore. Maybe not now, but Dan wanted that Pichu. For now, he continued to escort Mr.Dae through Route 209.
````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
After passing through Route 209, the Mr.Dae requested to rest on a bench in Hearthome City, to which Dan agreed.
"I'm not as young as I used to be. Ohoho!" he laughed.
Dan simply smiled; the old man was growing on him already. As they relaxed, Dan mapped out the quickest route to Canalave and how long it would take to get there. Afterwards, he bought a water for the old man and a soda for himself.
"Well we should get back on the road. Ready?" Dan asked and Mr.Dae replied with a nod.
````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Now making there way into Mt. Coronet. the sounds of Zubat and Chingling echoed throughout the cave.
"Ohoho, this cave is something special alright" Mr.Dae laughed.
That's when two youngster thugs appeared as they made there way through.
"Oi, old man hand over that egg!" one shouted.
"Gimme a break... just run along" Dan warned them.
"What are you gonna do about it? Go Aipom!"
"Munchlax you too!"
Dan sighed because he was really hoping for a peaceful mission for once. Oh well this was bound to happen eventually.
"Shark, Talon, time for battle!"
The Gible and Rufflet emerged from their pokeballs and faced their opponents. Under orders, Shark fired Dragon Rage at Aipom while Talon used Crush Claw to finish it off. Muchlax pulled off Stockpile to prepare for its next move.
"W-w-what?! That's cheating! You can't attack the same pokemon!" the losing thug cried.
"Like hell. Finish Munchlax off in the same manner" Dan says nonchalantly.
And so Munchlax met the same fate as Aipom, joining it on the floor. The two youngsters returned their pokemon and ran off.
"Excellent! Job well done, Daniel" Mr.Dae praised.
"Oh well...don't thank me, thank my pokemon. Amazing job guys."
After returning his pokemon, Dan and Mr.Dae continued their way to Canalave.
````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Now in Oreburgh City, Dan couldn't help but feel excited.
"Something about this town just cries battle."
"It may be the workers in the cave. They tend to train their pokemon there aswell as battle in Roark's gym" the old man explained.
"That's the gym leader right? He must be pretty tou- ahhhhh!" Dan shouted as he was electrocuted.
It was none other than Pichu who laughed at Dan's misfortune. The trainer stood up, determined to battle Pichu even more so. Yet again, she ran off before Dan had a chance.
"That's odd... Pichu never left Solaceon before... perhaps she likes you" Mr. Dae comments while chuckling.
"Well she has an odd way of showing it. Anyway I suppose it's time to move on."
````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Passing through the gate and getting to Jubilife City was fairly easy. There were no problem not even in the city. The tricky part would be getting to Canalave. Constructing a plan to sit on the hoverboard while Rain towed people across would work fine. They would have to take turns so Mr. Dae went first. While Dan waited for Rain to come back, guess who showed up to shock people again. The sting of the electricity quickly subsided as Dan was getting used to it now. This time as Pichu tried to run, she slipped into the water.
"Uh oh! Hold on I'm coming to get you" he Dan shouts as he dives in. Pichu frantically tried to swim but couldn't which made her frustrated. Dan reaches out and grabs her and she releases another Thundershock. But he took it, shaking it off as his main concern was Pichu's safety. Once back on land, Rain had returned to tow his trainer across.
"Thanks Rain. Are you alright Pichu?" he asked the wet mouse.
"Pichuuu~ Pi..." she responded as she jumped onto Dan's head.
He laughed it off as he climbed onto the board and was pulled to the other side. When Mr.Dae saw Pichu on Dan's head he laughed a hearty laugh.
"See I knew you two would get along."
Hearing that, Pichu hopped off of Dan's head and darted off into the bushes once again.
"See ya later Pichu" Dan waved.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Ohhh~! I'm so glad you made it Mr.Dae" Lady Selphy squealed.
Yup, they made it to Five Island, Resort Gorgeous thanks to a boat trip from Canalave City. Sure getting through the Water Labyrinth was tricky but easy if you had a map. As Mr.Dae was handling business with the Lady, Pichu showed her face once again, this time without a shock.
"Oh? You're not going to run? Then I challenge you!"
"Pi! Pichu!"
Shark was the pokemon of choice for Dan. Still, Pichu would put up a good fight. It started off with Sweet Kiss, making Shark confused. Shark hit himself in confusion unfortunately for Dan. Next it followed up with a suprising move- Volt Tackle. Good thing Shark was part ground and after seeing that attack, Dan had to have her.
"Let's trap her with Sand Tomb!"
The Gible recovered from his confusion and Pichu quickly fell into the sand trap. Following up with a Dragon Rage, Pichu seemed weak enough.
Dan threw the pokeball at Pichu, who went inside. One shake, two shakes, Dan held his breath at a third and finally- ding! Successful capture!
"Good, good. I'm glad Pichu found a good trainer finally" Mr.Dae says with a laugh.
"Yeah..." Dan picks up Pichu's pokeball and switched her out with Shark.
"Welcome to the team Pichu!"
"Pichu! Pichu!" she squealed happily.
With a mission success, Dan returned to HQ with his new sparky friend.
Wrong Answer
Ugh... I don't know whether to call this a miracle in one sense or a disaster waiting to happen. You know of Amity Square, right? That place that seems to be elitist to the point of allowing only certain Pokemon? Yeah, well... much as I feel they needed a swift kick to the head, I don't think this was a good way to do it.
See, there's this group that recently stormed the place, roughed up Trainer and 'cute' Pokemon alike, and left. No damage to the place itself (yet), but the Trainers that had been there haven't gone ever since. I won't be surprised if they strike again, though the chances of any leader being with them are extremely low. As in 'spotting a shiny Pokemon in the wild' low. Why, I don't know...
But if you can head over there, please do so and take care of the situation. The Trainers there at the time may be able to give you a few details, so do try to learn what you can. Aside from that, just make sure you send this group packing. If the people at Amity Square are to get the swift kick they deserve, it doesn't need to be in a violent manner.
Objectives
- Scout around Hearthome and learn what you can from the Trainers, if you can. They may still be too shaken up to tell you anything.
- Stop this group- whatever it is- from doing an encore at Amity Square.
- BONUS: Give the people at Amity Square a proper kick and try to change their elitest ways. Good luck if you dare to try this one.
Pokemon
- This group is bound to have some Pokemon on them, so feel free to help yourself to a snag.
Rewards
- Heavily varies. You MAY get more if you do the bonus objective, but make it good. It could be worthwhile if you do.
---------------------
For those that have seen my previous mission, the city name has been changed so that this one will work better and keep staleness out on my end. Please see it if you would like proof. -Sol
“Dewott! Dewott!” Rain cheered as he walked beside Dan. “Excited as always I see” Dan comments on his otter's enthusiasm. "Dew, Dewa" he responded, nodding his head. Yup, it was mission time again. Dan approached the Claydol and had it take him to Hearthome City.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The first thing he saw when he arrived was a sign that read ‘Hearthome City: Warm and Kind’. Using a map of the city he soon found Amity Square. “Alright let go inside." A counter with a woman receptionist behind it was the first thing he saw. Then he saw the park and how beautiful it was. The beauty wasn't in the scenery only but the love between the pokemon and trainer. There was a list by the entrance showing pokemon that could be allowed to enter. 'Well if Electa was a Pikachu...wait why shouldn't I be able to use any pokemon I want?' Dan thought. Frustrated, he left to question about the problem here. It seemed easy enough to walk up to someone and ask but as soon as he did, they ran. He shrugged it off, figured they were busy. Until it happened again...and again.“Guess this isn’t going to be easy after all. Time for a new approach” Dan says smirking. "Dewott, Dew!"
````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
The young snagem had come up with a plan to First he would find a trainer and when he did he began to speak loudly enough for them to hear him. “Man I can’t wait to take my Dewott for a stroll. It’s gonna be soo much fun.” “Umm pardon me but, you can’t go there” the young trainer told him. “And why not?” Dan says feigning ignorance. The trainer looked around before whispering to him “Well...you didn't hear it from me but...a group of people, we call them 'The Vandalist', will bully you if you do. Also I don’t think they’ll let you in because Dewott’s aren’t allowed in. They aren’t cute enough.” As Rain heard that he froze for a second before attacking the trainer with his scalchop. “Dewa! Dewa!” he shouted beating the guy in the head. “Oww! Stop! Help!” “Rain quit that! Come on!” Dan shouted as he scooped him up and ran.
````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Later, on a park bench, Dan was marking up a plan to stop the thugs. Rain sat beside him observing until he peered over the bench. Noticing his pokemon was practically climbing over the bench, caught the snagem trainer's attention. "What's up Rain?" "Piii...Tepiii..." Dan heard along with other swine like noises. Over the bench was an orange and black colored pig, a Tepig and it was crying. Upon closer inspection, it had bruises on it. Before Dan could tend to it, a girl shouting it's name could be seen not to far away. Then the Tepig took off torward her and was immediately placed back in its pokeball. "Don't you ever run off again" she scolded the pig in the pokeball. With that, she glanced at Dan once befor storming off back to wherever she came. "Oook then..." Dan says about the girl. With a plan in mind, Dan set off to Amity Square.
````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Dan came to the receptionist, the manager beside her, Rain beside his trainer. The thugs were already rampaging through the park, scaring off the few trainer's who were inside. "I'm sorry, you can't take a stroll with you're Dewott" she told him. Before Rain got a chance to go off on the woman Dan countered with "Then who's going to stop this vandalism?" "Well...umm...can't you use a pokemon that's allowed?" Dan slammed his hands on the counter, furiated he shouted "All of my pokemon are acceptable! To tell a pokemon they aren't good enough is unacceptable!" The manager seemed to contemplate this for a while as Dan stood there. "Forget it, I don't need your permission to help people" he says as he charges in. As he did, a person from the group came up to him. With a smirk he ordered his Lotad to use Razor Leaf. Dan drew his katana, deflecting the leaves as the tried to hit him and Rain. "Rain use Fury Cutter!" The swift cut hit Lotad hard but he withstood it, launching another Razor Leaf. The leaves hit Rain this time, the damage taking its toll. "Stand strong, Aqua Jet!" "Bubblebeam!" The Bubblebeam was greatly overpowered dealing more damage to Lotad. "Quick finish it with Fury Cutter" Dan shouts. The blow makes Lotad faint, sending him back to his pokeball. "Now tell your leader to leave this park alone" Dan warns him. "Anything you have to say to my father, you can say to me." Dan turns around to see a girl, the same girl from earlier. "Attitude girl with the Tepig? Your part of this group?" Dan insulted. "A-a-attitude?!" she steamed. The other vandalist gasped as they took a step back. "I'll have you know my name is Angelica. I am only helping my father put a stop to the treatment of pokemon that happens here." "Your words don't support your actions. The proof is on your Tepig" Dan says sternly. Angelica sends out the piglett, the bruises clear as day. "This is the way I train my pokemon. Mind your own business! Tepig use Smog!" The poisonous cloud swarmed Rain in an instant, leaving the otter poisoned. "Rain use Hydro Pump!" The large current of water rushed torward Tepig who simply dodged it. "What the- it's fast!" Dan commented, shocked at the same time.
"Now use Flame Charge!" Rain would have easily dodged the attack but the poison had weakend his movement and Flame Charge finished him off.
Dan returned him and sent out Goliath. "See how effective my training is?" Angelica teased. Dan ignored her comment and had Goliath use Rock Blast. "Flame Charge to dodge." Tepig was fast before but now it was ridiculous. Hitting it became harder and harder because of it's speed. Each time it used Flame Charge it got a hit on Goliath. "Goliath...let it charge you head on" Dan tells him. The rock pokemon glanced back at his trainer before nodding. "How stupid are you? Another Flame Charge!" Angelica orders. This time, as Tepig charged at Goliath it got a surprise. "Horn Attack and launch!" Tepig was sent flying through the air, making Dan smile. Angelica smirked as she shouted "Flamethrower!" Tepig emit a stream of flames down on the Rhyhorn. But then, Goliath began to glow, he began to evolve. Now standing on his hindlegs and much bigger, Goliath was a Rhydon. "Rhyyy!!!" he roared loudly. "Amazing..." Dan says almost in a trance. Coming back to reality, he started to give him a command but he used one himself. Goliath used Hammer Arm, knocking the Tepig out of the air. "Hey you learned Hammer Arm!" Dan shouts happily. "Enough! Tepig use Superpower!" Dan looked at her incredulously but sure enough Tepig was surrounded in a blue glow as it lifted a large rock out of the ground. It then proceeded to throw the rock at Goliath. "Hammer Arm quickly!" Goliath's attack broke the rock and its pieces hit Tepig square on. Tepig struggled to get up, tired. "Hurry and get up you little- what are you doing?" Angelica asks Dan as she saw him putting a glove on. But it wasn't a glove, it was Dan's Snag machine. "Oh you didn't know? I'm part of Team Snagem. I have to say I don't approve of the treatment you show your Tepig and so...he's coming with me!" Pokeball in snag machine, Dan threw it and hit the Tepig. Within three shakes, the Tepig was caught and teleported away. "N-no way! Daddy!" she screamed as she ran away. Her cronies soon followed after, clearing the park.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dan came back to the front entrance prepared to leave when the manager stopped him. "Why do you think any pokemon should be allowed in this most beautiful park?" The young snagem turned around to answer his question. "The true beauty is in the bond between trainer and pokemon. Something like that can happen with any pokemon not just the 'cute' ones. This park is basically telling other pokemon that they aren't good enough to bond with humans. That is why that little gang did what they did to your park." The manager seemed to understand a little what Dan was saying. "I had no idea people felt like that torward Amity Square. Those weren't my intentions when I opened this park...I wanna make things right. Tomorrow, this park will welcome all pokemon" he shouts joyously. With a smirk, Dan simply left. Whether the manager would hold true to his word or not was unknown to Dan. Either way, Dan had acquired Tepig and settled the dispute. It was a mission success.

Item Mission

Category: Pokeballs

Silph Co. Delivery

Pokeballs, a neccessity for all Pokemon Trainers, without these devices it would be impossible for trainers across the world to carry with them where ever they go their faithful companions. Sure, you could have them just follow you but do you really think it would be wise to have a Pokemon like Magmar follow you into a building, thus setting off the sprinklers? Didn't think so. Any who, the history of Pokeballs go back a long way, but that's not important right now, the future is now! The world's Pokeballs are largely supplied by their modern day inventor, Silph Co. It is this business that has invented the majorty of the Pokeballs we use to do, though some were invented in collaboration with a rival company in Hoenn, Devon Corp, but Silph Co. is in agreement with them to manufacture their Pokeballs too so it works out for everyone.

As you can imagine Silph Co. is always swamped with orders from Poke Marts around the world for Pokeballs and sometimes they find it difficult to meet the demands in a timely fashion. It is this very reason why Silph Co. is asking trainers from all over if they would like to help in performing deliveries for them, of course trainers who succeeded it making the deliveries are rewarded for their work. And that's where you come in! Go to the Silph Co. in Saffron City of the Kanto region, there sign up for one of their Pokeball deliveries. You will be given the choice the location of any Poke Mart or Department Store in the world to take the shipment to, the further you go the greater the reward of course. Shipments also vary in size, shipments to lone Poke Marts can sometimes be modest in size while shipments to Department Stores are always large, of course size also affects your rewards. Know this though, the Pokeballs are contained in a sealed metal crate which its lock is digital and protected by a Porygon programmed inside, making it near impossible for you to steal the contents, sorry to be of disappointment.

So, if you are looking to score some Pokeballs to replenish your stock this is the mission for you! Surely Silph Co. will reward you with some of their merchandise upon completion, cause what Pokemon Trainer doesn't like to get free Pokeballs, right?

Objective:
---Pick up a shipment of varying size from the Silph Co. building in Saffron City. You are then allow to choose a Poke Mart or Department Store to deliver it to, distance of delivery and size of shipment affect your rewards. Plus, don't try to steal the contents, it's protected.

Opposition:
---No real way of knowing. You may come across wild Pokemon depending on the path you take or perhaps some thugs looking to steal your shipment, speaking of which there is a known group that cuts off Silph Co.'s deliveries which prompted them to use the Porygon protection. This group is known as Team Bandito, which they look upon themselves as modern day Robin Hoods but in reality they are nothing but petty thieves. They are known for using Ground type Pokemon along with cactus Pokemon, furthermore they are largely a male group.
---All opposition various on what you decide to come across, but know this, something -will- get in your way.

Pokemon:
---You may capture or snag one Pokemon available at your rank. If you choose not to your rewards will be greater.

Rewards:
---Pokeballs, the type of Pokeballs you are awarded depend on those you delievered. There is a max of two type different types of Pokeballs. The amount you are given depends on quality of mission and whether or not you capture/snag a Pokemon.
---Pokeballs available include, Pokeball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, Premier Ball, Timer Ball, Dive Ball, Net Ball, Nest Ball, Luxury Ball, Repeat Ball, Quick Ball, Dusk Ball, and Heal Ball. Apricorn Pokeballs are -not- available in this mission.

Note: You may do this mission several times, whenever you need more Pokeballs. Do not however simple copy and paste an old mission and try and pass it off as new, you won't pass.

Today was a fairly warm day. A nice day for a walk and walk Dan did, from Snagem HQ all the way to Saffron. On the way there he decided to do further research on his mission.

"Team Bandito huh? They like ground types too. That may be a problem Electra" he told the small Pichu on his head.
"Pichu, Pichu." she patted his head as if to reassure him.
"Thank you. I feel so relieved now" he says with sarcasm in his voice.

Of course she retaliated with Thundershock. As he entered Saffron City from the left gate, he immediately noticed the Silph Co. building, the sun reflecting off of it beautifully. The only skyscraper in the city was hard to miss and yet some how he got lost trying to get to it.

"I don't understand. I'm sure this city is smaller than Castelia so how in the world...?" Dan trailed off.

Electra quickly hopped off his head and began to run off. Instinctively, he chased after her to see where she was going. The small mouse suddenly came to a halt in front of the Silph Co. building and took her seat back on her trainer's head. Dan was ashamed that the Pichu had a better sense of direction than him yet greatful she did. The inside of the building was as stunning as the outside. A light blue color painted the entire room but a moving statue drew attention to the center. The receptionist was extremely busy recieving numerous phone calls left and right.

"Excuse me, I'm here to pick up a-"

The receptionist interrupted with a wave of the hand and gestured to a large box beside Dan. On it had simple instructions to deliver it to Two Island. He would have to get there by boat since Talon couldn't carry him yet. The box had to be picked up with two hands due to its size. Dan carried the box out of the building and decided to head to the south gate. From there he could rent a boat in Vermillion. He pulled his hoverboard out of his bag and propped the box onto it. Securing it with a few bungee cords made it easier to transport.

"If you would be so kind as to lead the way Electra."
"Pichu..."

Once on Route 6, a few Pidgey could be seen flying through the sky. I pretty ordinary route but one could see Vermillion from the Saffron gate.
Everything was fine until...

"Halt! Proceed no furthur!" a man shouted as he popped out of the grass.

Two other people joined him, a man and a woman, and the wore black leather jackets and green pants.

"My name is Jacque and we are Team Bandito. We steal from the rich and give to the needy" Jacque explained.
"Oh?"
"Us."
"Oh...well I'll just be going now" Dan says as he tries to go around.

As expected, Jacque stood in his way. He could sense Dan wasn't going to cooperate and brought out his Marowak to show he meant business. Dan took a step back before bringing out Talon, his Rufflet.

"Just give us the box and walk away" Jacque suggested.
"Sorry but I can't comply with those demands. Talon use Whirlwind!"

The strong force of the wind sent the Marowak back into it's pokeball and a Quagsire popped out. The Whirlwind also pushed the theives back and Dan took this time to escape to Vermillion City. Just as he was about there two Cacnea appeared in front of him and Marowak behind him. Jacque and his two cronies closed in from behind.

"Nice try but, we would like that package now. Marowak use Bone Rush!"
"Rain counter with Razor Shell" Dan shouts as he releases the Dewott.

Rain's scalchop collided with Marowak's bone which forced both pokemon backwards. Electra hopped off of Dan's head and faced one of the Cacnea.
Talon flew down to fight the other cactus pokemon.

"Rain use Hydro Pump. Electra use Sweet Kiss. Talon use Aerial Ace" Dan commanded.
"Marowak, deflect Hydro Pump with Bone Rush and follow up with Smack Down on the Rufflet" Jacque ordered.

The other two bandits had their pokemon use simultaneous Pin Missle. Electra managed to dodge and kiss one of the cactus causing confusion. Talon was hit by one of the sets of Pin Missles but used Aerial Ace on the confused Cacnea. Marowak hacked away at the Hydro Pump then picked up a rock and hit it like a baseball torward Talon which sent him down to the ground.

"Electra, Volt Tackle on the confused Cacnea. Talon, Crush Claw the other. Rain use Razor Shell, then sneak in an Ice Beam."
"Marowak give it a Thunder Punch!"

The confused Cacnea hit itself in confusion and then fainted from Volt Tackle. Crush Claw landed on the other Cacnea but it launched a Leech Seed on Electra. Rain leaped forward and took the Thunderpunch, preventing him from using Razor Shell. Ice Beam, however, hit Marowak directly on the chest. It looked like a critical hit by the way Marowak began to stagger backwards a bit. Dan saw an opportunity and decided to act on it.

"Talon use Crush Claw. Electra use Quick Attack. Rain, Aqua Jet on Marowak's opening."

Before the Cacnea had a chance to move, it was knocked out by Talon and Electra's attacks. Rain surrounded himself in water and charged into the Marowak, knocking it onto Jacque. Now that the cactus were out of the way, there was a clear path to the city. Before Jacque could retaliate, Dan and his pokemon fled into Vermillion with the package in tow. In the distance he could hear Jacque shouting and screaming at his Marowak for failing. Vermillion City seemed like it would have been an extremely busy City but in fact it was slightly calm and relaxing with few people walking around. The Pokemon Center was Dan's first stop to heal his pokemon. He left Talon out to keep an eye out for the bandits. Afterwards he headed down to the harbor. He would need a boat to get to Two Island and it appeared he would have to rent one. That is until he saw a couple of Team Bandito goons on a small speedboat.

"Hey Talon why don't you use Whirlwind so we can get rid of the theives" Dan suggested.

The force of the wind sent the thieves flying into the water. Without a minute to spare, Dan loaded the box onto the boat and sped off. After driving for about 30 minutes it would seem he would arrive on Two Island any moment now. As luck would have it, Jacque returned with four bandits following behind him. A Quagsire followed by two Gastrodon and two Whiscash closed in from behind.

"There's too many" Dan says as the Quagsire hops onto the boat.

Talon attempted to attack Quagsire but was knocked away by Hydro Pump. The water fish grabbed the box and tossed it onto the backs of the two Whiscash.

"Damn...we lost the box. How are we going to get it back?" Dan says as he begins to formulate a plan.

A plan was already forming as Talon began to glow. Before Dan's eyes, the Rufflet evolved into a large red feathered bird.

"Talon...you evolved into a Braviary! That's excellent! Maybe we can catch up to the theives now" Dan tells him.
"Braaa, Braviary!" he agrees.

Talon lets Dan onto his back and they take off from the boat. They circled around to catch up to Team Bandito who was heading to One Island. Dan spotted the box on Jacques boat free from ropes and cables.

"Braviary can carry the weight of cars. That box should be no problem for you. Just pick it up with your talons."

The bird nodded as he swooped down and grabbed the box. Jacques didn't even see it coming.

"Wha-? How?"
"See ya later" Dan taunted as Talon flew off high into the sky.

They continued to fly higher and higher until Team Bandito was no longer visible. From there, Dan brought up the map to navigate to Two Island. It was smooth flying the rest of the way there. He had Talon decend once he saw the island. The pokemart stand recognized the symbol on the box and realized it was for him.

"Thanks for the delivery pal. I really appreciate it" he says with a smile.
"No problem. Anyway we should get going Talon. To HQ please" Dan says with a smile.
"Braviary!" he replies taking off once again.

Dragon Master Mission Stage 1

The Dragon's Soul

Dragons, mighty beasts possessing tremendous powers, some of the most powerful, and longest lived beings in the world. These creatures, not only powerful and long lived, are extremely rare, and among Pokemon Trainers, highly sought after for their rarity and strength. These creatures also possess a unique type of chi, far different from that of other Pokemon, no one is sure on what makes their chi so unique, but one thing is for sure, it's the source of their power, longelivity, and durability. Are you interested now in harnessing the power of dragons? If so, you must look deep within yourself, and unlock the mystical power of the dragon.

Long ago, a war took place that ravaged the Earth and threatened to turn it to ash. Many powerful masters of chi fought in this great war, weilding unspeakable powers and abilities. There was one master that possessed a power unlike any other before him. The dragons of the world bowed before his strength, and obeyed without question. This man, with his tremendous power and command over dragons, put an end to the great war and sacrificed his soul in order to seal away the evil that had started the chaos in the beginning. History has long since forgotten the man's sacrifice, but there are still those that remember his endeavors, the dragon that fought alongside him in battle. If you wish to master the power of dragons, then seeking out the partner of history's greatest Dragon Master will be your best bet.

The Master was his name, that was what the dragons called him, none dared to utter his real name, except one, his faithful partner, a Salamence. The Salamence has lived for centuries, and still lives to do this day. Legend has it, Tarasque, the name of the Salamence, slumbers deep within Meteor Falls, by the order of its master. Tarasque sleeps in a chamber hidden away, where it waits for someone who possess the ability to one day succeed his former master.

If you have the resolve, journey to Meteor Falls in the Hoenn region and seek out Tarasque, The Master's former partner Pokemon. Tarasque won't be easy to find, the chamber which he sleeps in is hidden away, and safeguarded by various traps and obstacles set forth by The Master. In order to find the chamber which Tarasque sleeps you must first a special gem which The Master also hid away in Meteor Falls called the Dragon's Eye. The Dragon's Eye can only be seen, and sensed, by dragons, so in order for you to find it you must have your most faithful Dragon Pokemon lead you to the Dragon's Eye, whever it may be hidden away in Meteor Falls. But be warned, the Bagon and Shelgon that live in Meteor Falls are hostile, even moreso for anyone who gets near the Dragon's Eye, which of whom are descendants of Tarasque and guard the gem.

Once you find the gem it will begin to glow the closer you get to the hidden chamber where Tarasque sleeps, use it to guide you to the chamber. Once you find the chamber use the Dragon's Eye to release the seal on the doors and enter to face the awakened Tarasque, who will immediately attack to test your worth. The chances of you defeating Tarasque are extremely slim, he possess strength that surpasses most dragons, and despite his old and worn appearance he is very strong. The best thing you can do is survive, and show Tarasque you have what it takes to endure even the most difficult hardships, and continue on to learn the way of the dragons. Tarasque will stop attacking once you have proven you got what it takes.

Once you prove to Tarasque you have the resolve, give to him the Dragon's Eye, and he shall summon forth the spirit of The Master through the Dragon's Eye. Speak to The Master and ask him to teach you his ways. If he agrees to do so then the Dragon's Eye will be yours to keep, and it will be your method of contact with The Master for future missions. I wish you the best of luck.

Objective:
---Travel to Meteor Falls in Hoenn and locate the Dragon's Eye hidden inside.
---Once found, use the Dragon's Eye to locate the hidden chamber containing The Master's partner, Tarasque the Salamence.
---Survive Tarasque's assault and prove your worth.
---Convince The Master to teach you his ways.

Opposition:
---Any wild Pokemon in Meteor Falls.
---Wild Dragon Pokemon such as Bagon and Shelgon which will stop you from getting the Dragon's Eye.
---Tarasque the Salamence will attack you, survive his assault.

Pokemon:
---You may capture one wild Dragon Pokemon (Bagon or Shelgon in Meteor Falls, or Swablu, who evolves into a Dragon, on the way there, outside of it).
---You may -not- capture Tarasque.

Reward:
---10x Snag Coins.
---The Dragon's Eye, which is required to call upon your future teacher, The Master.
---The ability to take on the next Dragon Master Mission.
---Varies from there based on story.

Quote:
Here Be Dragons

Dragon Pokemon, proud, powerful, rare, and dangerous. Few trainers can claim to be Dragon Tamers, even fewer Dragon Masters. Dragon Pokemon are known for being particularly difficult to train as by natural they are aggressive and stubborn, their raw power simply too much to control. Some though desire to control all that power for themselves.

Team Rocket in their endless quest for power has decided to target the Dragon's Den. Some say that might be a foolish move as the den could be protected by the likes of the Pokemon Champion Lance, however said champion is occupied at the moment with challengers, leaving just Claire to defend the den.

I want you to head to Dragon's Den and fight your way to Claire, she'll be at the Dragon's Shrine in the back of the den. “Seriously? Team Rocket again!?”

Dan grumbled as he went over the mission specs. Team Rocket was the team that just didn't want to stay down. Just how many times was this gang going to rear its ugly head, if it was in fact them this time? Then again, this was a great opportunity to get back into the Dragon’s Den and meet the Dragon Elder proper. Being an up and coming trainer in the rare and powerful pokemon, how could he pass this up? Not to mention, Clair would be there too! If he was lucky, he could learn a thing or two from her....maybe. He had heard rumors about her, none that were too pretty. Dan arrived in Blackthorn City with his Braviary’s help, the trainer promptly returning the bird for a nice long rest. The only other time he was here, his father had brought him since this was his hometown. The dragon affinity of this city had his father become a dragon tamer and thus himself. Dan shook his head, remembering he wasn’t here to reminisce or get lost in thought.

“I need to go see the Dragon Eld- I mean, take out Team Rocket!...I should get a move on…”

The silver haired teen made his way to the cave entrance with his Axew on his shoulder. It was impressive how quickly they had formed a bond, so he thought to keep having the tiny dragon out. There was a certain air or feel he was getting from the entrance that sent chills up and down his spine. Strange how he didn't feel this way the last time. Something in him was different ever since he last came here and got the sword that was fastened to his hip. Perhaps he could ask the Elder- granted, he remembered to do so.

“Welp, that's enough procrastinating. Let's go.”

The Snagem member entered the den, once again being enraptured by the sight of the beautiful cavern. A crystal clear blue lake filled the cave with a small and slightly damaged ornate building sitting in the middle of the water. Dan headed down the rock carved steps which brought him closer and closer to the water edge. And as he neared, the sounds of battle got louder and louder, causing his Axew to peek over his shoulder to see. To his surprise, a couple dressed in black were fighting a Dragonair with their Nidoking and Nidoqueen. The poor dragon looked exhausted, desperate to defend its home from these crooks as it wildly thrashed about.

"Alright, lets reel 'er in!"

One of the goons brandished a large black cannon with that infamous red 'R' printed on the side. With it, he fired a large weighted net at the serpent who was too weak to dodge. It continued to thrash trying to break free, but alas, had given in to its fatigue. The Rockets chuckled to themselves as the pulled the net in, bringing Dragonair to the shore of the lake.

"Alright! This may not be what we came for but this is a pretty good haul."

"Yeah, I'm sure the boss won't mind."

The two grunts began chuckling among themselves, until their Nidoqueen was suddenly blasted from the back by a Hydro Pump. The force of the attack nearly knocked the monster into the lake, having her teeter at the edge on one foot until a certain water otter knocked her in with Aqua Jet. She panicked at first, having been surprised by the sudden attack, splashing about frantically. But before she could calm down, her movement had attracted a Gyarados who came and snatched her up in its mouth and dragged her under. Huh. Well that happened. Dan approached the grunts now in just as much shock as them. How was he to know a Gyarados would just appear to enact revenge on the criminals who were ransacking its home? Ok, so maybe he was praying on it but he didn't expect it to get dragged into the lake. At least that was on less enemy Pokemon he had to worry about.

"W-Who the hell are you?!" "And what have you done?!"

"FEEL THE WRATH OF THE OCEAN GOD! ALL WATER IS MY DOMAIN!"

Rain shouted, laughing maniacally. Yup. Probably shouldn't have sent his crazed shadow pokemon to attack the enemy. His shadow-fication surprisingly somehow inflated his ego even. But then again, he was getting results.

"Look at that. The brat's Pokemon is talking!"

"I say we cut our losses on the Nidoqueen and lift this...thing off his hands"

One Rocket grunt suggested to the other with a sickening grin. Both nodded in agreement, their muscle, the Nidoking, stepping up. The Dewott smirked, beckoning the the beast to bring it on with a shadow aura flaring around him.
Dan was fairly certain he didn't teach him taunt, raising a brow at the action. The much larger pokemon acted first, charging at Rain with a direct Horn Attack. The otter was instructed to use Razor Shell to uppercut the Nidoking and redirect his horn upward. With another well placed slash to the chest, the poison type staggered back but not without retaliation. Slamming his foot down, Earth Power came from below and delivered an uppercut of his own to the water type.

"Huh. Cheap shot"

Rain growled, recovering from his fall. But he was soon launching himself with Aqua Jet again. Nidoking didn't intend to fall victim like his mate, opting to fire Poison Sting at the incoming otter. But what he didn't see coming was Rain using Ice Beam to become an ice missile, successfully deflecting the sting and crashing into the behemoth. Said beast wasn't down yet, grabbing hold of the ice with both hands and looking at his attacker with a sinister grin. He had Rain right where he needed him, his protruding horn beginning to rotate at high speeds. The Horn Drill would sink into the ice, inching closer and closer to Dan's Pokemon. Suddenly out of the water, Nidoqueen would be making her return, courtesy of Gyarados. The queen was launched into the air and would land on her king, causing him to slip and miss his mark on the "ocean god". Rain would use this opportunity to escape the capsule and distance himself from the two. Summoning his shadow energy, he'd release it all at once in the form of Shadow Wave at the unsuspecting pair. (3/10) Both enemy pokemon went consumed by the darkness and sent flying into their grunts. Perhaps if they weren't in such a daze, they might not have been taken into lake where Gyarados was waiting. With a mighty Aqua Tail, Team Rocket was sent flying back to the shore over Dan's head, where they landed out of sight. The trainer chuckled to himself, giving the sea serpent a thumbs up before it disappeared out of sight. Rain was already with the Dragonair, having used his Razor Shell to cut the net off of it.

"Alright...now it's your tu-"

"Yeah, that's enough out of you..."

the trainer sighed regrettably, returning the infected Pokemon. Something had to be done with the little guy and his shadow affliction. That aside, he tried to get closer to, slowly get close and kneeling down. It was evident Dragonair was terrified of him but lacked the energy to retreat. Dan reached into his pocket and pulled out one of the Potions. It might not have been the best healing item, but it was all he had. The dragon was covered in so many wounds, it didn't seem to matter where he sprayed.

"This is going to sting, but you'll feel a little better."

The dragon simply whined but seemed at ease after the initial sting wore off. He tried to comfort the poor Pokemon, managing to pet it on the head with his shoulder partner's assistance. Seeing the serpent at least a little better off than before was enough to bring a smile to his face. Sadly, he couldn't wait around until it was back to 100%. Dan got up, bidding farewell and jogged off toward the shrine. He had to get back to evicting Team Rocket after all, to prevent this from happening to any other Pokemon. Even from a distance, he could see the warm embrace of battle awaiting him near the building. Except Team Rocket wasn't picking on a wild Pokemon this time. No, this time they were the ones being beaten by none other than Clair and her Charizard! It seemed she just got done defeating a group of them but then another came to take their place.

"Ngh! She's really tough..."

"Of course she's tough ya idgit! She's a gym leader!"

"Yeah but she can't take all of us! Eventually we'll wear her down!"

The Rocketeers cackled and conversed with themselves. Said gym leader did not look amused, becoming rather irritated by their banter and was clearly growing impatient. Dan chose now as his moment to act, sending out Electra for battle. A well placed Thunder Wave from behind served to immobilize the grunt and allow the trainer to approach the gym leader safely. The woman already looked like she was about to burst a blood vessel and his sudden appearance didn't seem to be helping matters. Her glare alone sent a chill down his spine, much like the one he got before entering the den.

"Wh-Whoa! Hey! Lower the knives, I'm here to help!"

"Ax-Axew!"

At least he had his little buddy to back him up. Clair didn't seem impressed in the slightest as she looked him up and down. However, her gaze came to rest on the bokken strapped to his waist. Dan kind of froze up, finding her silence to be a little intimidating and didn't notice what she was looking at at first. She opened her mouth to say something but was interrupted by her Charizard's roar. The flying lizard was trying to get their attention on the Rocket grunt who were getting mobility back. And so, in came the pokeballs which released three enemy Weezing. Clair let out a groan of annoyance as she finally addressed the trainer before her.

"Alright, look. Some of Team Rocket slipped passed me and are inside with the Elder. I'll leave these grunts to you."

"What? Hey!"

Dan couldn't even plead his case before she and her Charizard took off. And there they were with three gas balloons who were ready to ignite. Electra and Axew were already out and ready to battle, jumping in front to defend their trainer. For his third choice, Shelgon was called upon; it coming as no surprise that he was already sprawled out on the ground. Once he saw the situation, he got up ready to battle with a low growl that seemed like a yawn.

"Heheh. You made a big mistake messing with us kid. Weezing, Smokescreen!"

The Rockets had the poisonous Pokemon create a thick fog that was nigh impossible to see through. Dan could barely even see his hand in front of his face as he pulled his shirt up to his mouth. Something didn't feel right about all this. That was when he heard something approaching in the smoke and fast. He instinctively stepped back the silhouette of a Weezing emerged and let out a cry. Shortly after, the Snagem heard a grunt call out "Explosion!" Dan's eyes widened in surprise, turning tail and running as the balloon began glowing, quickly erupting in a massive detonation. The trainer barely escaped the blast radius, being knocked to the ground hard on his face. So that was their game; kamikaze attacks aimed at him. Well it was pretty effective, considering it nearly worked in killing him. Before he could even pick himself up, the sound of another Weezing approaching could be heard whizzing through the air. Dan slowly stood, trying not to draw attention to himself and taking notice of a wall beside him. No escape. He needed to bring out Talon to blow away the smokescreen but he was constantly under attack. The Poison Gas Pokemon had him cornered this time and when it found him, it let out a cry just as the last one had. At that moment, Shelgon came to his defense, lunging at the airborne enemy with Zen Headbutt, knocking it away just as it got the Explosion command. The teen took this opportunity to call upon his bird to use Defog and blow the hindrance away. He was spared in the end; however, as the clearing of the smoke revealed, his Shelgon took the full brunt of the blast and fainted. Dan silently thanked the cocooned dragon, returning him before facing down the last Weezing. "Axew! Electra! Dragon Pulse and Thunderbolt!" he commanded. The two small Pokemon nodded, summoning their respective attacks that merged into an electric dragon vortex. The powerful attack consumed the last Rocket Pokemon, knocking it out before any more incidents could occur.

"Damn. So much for the Bomb Squad."

"Looks like the Sonic Squad is up next."

"Yeah...Yeah, no."

Dan retorted as he returned Talon and Electra; Axew reclaim a spot on his shoulder. Once again he'd bring out his crazed Dewott, who was more than itching to go. Three more Rocket grunts had stepped up to the plate to gang up on the lone trainer. He couldn't keep entertaining this onslaught nor did he want to. Clair was a gym leader, sure, but she could possibly need his help. So this was where taking the time to learn about shadow moves was about to come in hand. "Rain, use Shadow Hold on Team Rocket!" The otter grinned as that shadow aura of his flared up again. Holding his hands forward, he'd have his shadow stretch out to the men and women. They would feel the immediate effects of being immobilized, many of them panicking (6/10). With that, he'd recall the water type before he could go charging at them with his blood lust. Leaving the grunts behind, Dan would hurry inside to provide support where needed. Inside was quite the sight to behold of the gym leader locked in battle with the criminals. There was Clair who was physically fending off a pair of grunts who were trying to restrain her. Her Charizard was also trying to be captured by an Arbok that wrapped itself around the fire breather. The snake had just bitten the dragon on the neck, it struggling to pry the serpent off. Both Dan and his Axew were taken aback by the struggle but this was not the time to be caught in a daze. On the other side of the room was the Elder, who looked to be trussed up a smidgen on the tight side, along with a red haired woman dressed in a nice pristine white outfit. Clearly she was the boss behind this operation. First, he went to Clair's aid, drawing the bokken and striking one of the grunts in the back of the head hard enough to knock them out. The gym leader was then free to deal with the other her own, before coming at her rescuer.

"Careful with that! That is a priceless artifact you're swinging around!"

"...You're welcome?"

"Tch! Charizard, use your tail and then Flamethrower!"

Clair redirecting her attention to her Pokemon. The lizard obliged, using it's tail to burn Arbok off and then delivering a blast of fire to the face. Needless to say, the snake was not going to be getting up after that and thus was returned by the redhead. Dan and the blunette approached the Rocket admin who pulled the Elder closer to her.

"Release the Elder and leave this place!"

"'Fraid I can't do that. Once we get what we need from your Elder, we'll be one step closer to achieving our goal. The world will learn to respect the name: Team Rocket!"

Ariana revealed in her other hand a small remote or rather, a detonator. Once she pressed the button, the wall behind her blew up, exposing the crystal lake beyond. While the Snagem and leader, shielded their faces from the explosion's debris, the Rocket Admin tossed out two pokeballs. One released a Honchkrow that immediately unleashed Haze to obscure their vision. The staple move of making a hasty retreat. Again, Dan would call on his Braviary to sweep the smoke out the hole that was created. When it cleared, the woman was already on the lake with her Lapras and the old man in tow. Clair wasn't about to let her get away so easily, but as she tried to get on her Charizard to pursue, she discovered the dragon had been poisoned from that bite on the neck. Returning her Pokemon for rest, she brought out another pokeball which unleashed her Kingdra.

"She won't be escaping by water. Let's go, Kingdra!"

Honchkrow would position itself in the way of the broken wall; however, Talon was quick to remind it of his presence with a Wing Attack. The bird was knocked away briefly, Clair using the opportunity to dive into the water with her dragon and speeding off after Ariana. That left Dan to deal with Honchkrow, who created another Haze. "Really? This again? Talon!" The Braviary already knew what to do, using Defog to blow it away again. And as he did, the dark bird took that opportunity to slip in a Night Slash on the larger avian. While Talon was recovering from the sharp blow to the chest, Honchkrow set the Haze back up to hide within. Such a dirty tactic, yet effective! The moment it was cleared, the Big Boss was going to attack again at the opening. So then the logical option seemed to wait for it to come to the Braviary and counter strike. Except that wouldn't work either, as a Dark Pulse broke through the smoke and hit the bird in the back. "Damn, that's a clever bird. Alright, use Defog and spin!" the trainer instructed. The Valiant Pokemon began flapping his wings, spinning in a 360 degree circle as told. This allowed him to clear the room and eliminate any openings. As a bonus, it also caught Honchkrow in the move when it tried to close in for another Night Slash. Now it was in range! "Use Crush Claw. Cripple it's wings!" The Braviary ceased his hard flapping, lunging forward with his sharp talons first and latching on to the black bird's wings. The strength of his feet gripping those wings was the strength he could use to carry a car. Ariana's crow cried out from the awful pain it must have felt, but it wasn't over yet. "Let's wrap this up with a Somersault Sky Drop" Dan fistpumped, earning a cry of approval from his Pokemon. Given the space of the room, it couldn't fly high enough to get the power needed for a proper Sky Drop. With the improvisation of mimicking a Seismic Toss, Talon could get the power he needed and judging by how hard the crow hit the ground, it was pretty effective. Honchkrow didn't appear to be getting up after that one, which worked for Dan since he wanted to hurry and catch up with Clair. And then came trouble.

"There he is! Get 'em!"

Dan turned around to see the Rocket Grunts that Rain held off now barging in through the door. Well it had to wear off eventually. Preferring not to be held up by these guys any longer, he signaled to his Braviary and jumped out the opening in the wall with his hands up. His bird was there for him to grab hold of as they took off across the lake. It was his luck that they would continue to pursue on their Tentacruel. You certainly couldn't say they weren't...dedicated? Persistent? Obsessive. Talon was forced to engage in aerial maneuvers to avoid the Poison Sting attacks aimed at him and his trainer. Up ahead, Clair was in her own battle with Ariana; Kingdra vs Lapras with their respective trainers riding on them. Since they were so close to the shore, Dan had Talon take them over there to escape the range of the poison darts. Once they landed, he returned the bird Pokemon and quickly took notice of where he was. This was the same area Rain fought that Nidoking...but what happened to the Dragonair? As for Kingdra and Lapras, they were locked in a cautious battle as they both tried to claim victory over the other while also keeping their trainer's safe. Both also looked pretty worn out which meant the battle was about to draw to a close, the tides in Lapras' favor. The Transporter reeled it's head back as it fired an Ice Beam at Kingdra, who answered with a Hydro Pump to counter the attack. Dan was prepared to intervene; however, he would be beaten to the punch. The dragon he saved earlier would appear, spinning around Lapras with Twister. This sudden attack made Ariana's Pokemon to flinch in response, leaving it vulnerable to Kingdra's Dragon Pulse. Assailed from all sides, the water/ice type would use the last of its energy to get its owner to shore before promptly fainting. The woman could be heard sucking her teeth as she returned her Lapras, still holding on to the Dragon Elder. Clair too would come ashore, returning her dragon for a well earned rest and pinning the Rocket Admin between herself and Dan.

"Oho? Well I could hardly call this fair. Where is your sense of dignity?"

"Oh save it lady. Like you're one to talk about dignity"

Dan retorted. They had her cornered now and there was no escape. At least, until those Rocket goons caught up, appearing from the land path and the lake. Now it was him and the blunette who were cornered by the criminals. Just how many of these grunts were actually here? Ariana chuckled to herself as Axew let out a low growl over his shoulder. Despite his actions, he could feel the little guy shivering in fear. What was he suppose to do? What could be done? The weren't a lot of options that would end well for him or Clair. But when he looked at his ally, he saw not concern and instead composure. As if on cue, Dan heard the scampering of small feet approaching this gathering of humans. The leering eyes of Charmander and Charmeleon appeared from the shadows, coming from behind the Rockets on land. Those in the water would find themselves surrounded by the injured Dragonair, along with two others and a Gyarados. What the Snagem was witnessing was the dragons of this cavern coming to their aid. Or perhaps it was to the aid of the Elder? Clair had quite the smug look on her face, as if she knew this would happen and unleashed a Dragonite from her hold. The tables had turned once again, even Ariana could see that and it she appeared to be making subtle movements to retreat. But the woman stubbornly stood her ground, gritting her teeth in annoyance as her hold on the elder tightened. It looked like the gym leader was about to make a move; however, it was Dan who lunged forward first to try to grab hold of the old man. There was an opening, he had to take it! If he could just get to the elder, they could end this here and now. And as he neared, he would find a Vileplume in his path that suddenly struck him with a strong odor. He stopped dead in his tracks but by then it was too late! The giant plant blasted him with a thick yellow powder that engulfed both him and his pokemon. Left stunned, Ariana took this opportunity to flee while her pawns stood in Clair's way once more. She yelled at him, blaming him for letting her get away, at which he'd admit was his fault. He just really thought he had that one! But fortunately, his Axew had acted quickly out of desperation or perhaps fear and jumped onto his face before he inhaled too much of the toxin. Now he just needed to pry the dragon off his face to avoid suffocation, which was taking some time given his whole body had gone numb.

"Not my...proudest...moment...but..."

His voice was muffled underneath his partner's stomach, yet he managed to speak up anyway. As feeling returned, he pulled the dragon free, placing him back on his shoulder. Whether the little guy saved him intentionally or not, he was thankful for his help. Seeing as Clair had things under control here, Dan opted to give chase once more in an effort to save the Elder. His pursuit led him back to the cave entrance where the sounds of a chopper greeted him to the vehicle hovering just outside. Ariana was shoving the old man on to the helicopter, turning around swiftly when she heard someone approaching. The look on her face clearly showed that she was not expecting him. Her Vileplume was still out, stepping forward now at their appearance to fight back. The flower's various poisons proved to a problem, considering he had no pokemon to counter it with Talon down. Dan sucked his teeth, shooting the woman and her pokemon a glare.

"Well...I don't know how you avoided paralysis but this is the end of the line. Shame. I think you would have made an excellent Rocket Admin."

Her pokemon lowered its head now, exposing the opening on top that expelled its powder. Dan took a deep breath and did his best to shield with his arms as it fired Poison Powder. But to the shock and awe of all around, a silver veil had appeared around both him and Axew, the poison dissipating as it came in contact with it. What was this strange light? The cries of Dragonair behind him exhibiting the same glow had answered him. It was the wounded one again! This must have been Safeguard, protecting him from the poison and perfect for fighting Vileplume. The trainer brandished a pokeball; however, his savior would slide before him to fight Vileplume. He wasn't sure if this was such a fair fight in its condition, yet there was a larger problem he needed to tackle. Ariana was boarding the helicopter, fully intent on leaving her pokemon behind. Really, this shouldn't have shocked him considering it was Team Rocket. As the copter lifted up into the air, Dan did the only logical thing to do in this situation. He ran and jumped, narrowly grabbing hold of the landing skids. Axew had regained some feeling, enough to be to hold on to his trainer's shoulder. The vehicle dipped slightly from him jumping onto it, yet it continued to ascend high into the air. Looking back briefly to see the battle between Vileplume and Dragonair begin, he really did hope the serpent would be alright. Back to the immediate task, the teen hoisted himself up, trying to reach the passenger seats. Standing there waiting for him when he pulled himself up was Ariana with an intimidating look on her face. In her hand was a long metal rod that sparked at her grip.

"You're persistence is becoming annoying...but that ends here. This cattle prod can put out as much electricity as a Thunderbolt. So this is where we finally part ways...indefinitely."

Axew looked up at the woman wielding her weapon at his trainer, hugging on to him tighter. Dan tensed up at the incoming jab at his shoulder, feeling the electricity course through his body. And as it happened, there was this odd sensation that had him feel like the electricity should hurt much more than it did. He recalled striking an electric chi converter with his sword once and that hurt like hell! Of course, that would hurt a lot more, though he wondered if perhaps he'd built up some sort of tolerance to electricity because of it. Alas, the cause was not something he could see nor realize at the moment. The Dragon Elder, on the other hand, saw it all. The bond between him and his Axew was protecting him from the vile woman's attack. Seeing as Dan's grip hadn't loosened and the lack of reaction that she'd gotten from others, Ariana was left completely dumbfounded. Instead, she had taken to stomping on his hands, angrily trying to get him to let go. This is when the old man decided to take a leap of fate, bum rushing over the other seated goons and diving out the other side. Dan immediately let got to dive after him, desperate to save him from himself. He wrapped an arm around the elder, pulling him into a hug while he tried to get Talon out. Sure the bird was exhausted but this was an emergency! Certainly, there was no other way to save them from having a run in with the ground. And then, out of the blue, Clair's Dragonite came swooping in to snatch them both out of the sky. The Snagem trainer felt his heart racing, as well as the little one his shoulder. Ariana stood watching from the hover aircraft, the look on her face showing how dissatisfied with these turn of events. Her Honchkrow would come flying into view now, holding her just as injured Vileplume in its talons. She would return them both, following with a wave of her hand to the pilot. The helicopter took off into the horizon, abandoning their target. Clair's dragon brought everyone back to the entrance of the Dragon's Den, Dan rather glad to be back on the ground in one piece. Clair would step out of the cave now, a sigh of relief and a smile on her face when she saw the Elder.

"Thank goodness. I'm glad to see you safe."

"I'm all good too, by the way" Dan chimed in, only to be ignored.

"When Dragonite went rushing off without me, I got a little worried."

"You mean...you didn't send your dragon to save us?" he asked, confused.

At this, the old man would laugh, patting his rescuer hard on the back. Was that to mean...this guy? He couldn't have called for Dragonite, could he have? And what about when they were in the cave and the wild pokemon came to their aid? Well he was called the "Dragon Elder" for a reason, so maybe... Clair and her senior proceeded to have a private conversation, Dan wandering off a bit to give them space. He looked around, wondering where that Dragonair wandered off to seeing as this was the last place he left it. Having to leave it to battle Vileplume in its condition, the trainer felt a pang of guilt in his chest. It wasn't until he got closer to the water, did the serpent appear, sticking its head out of the water.

"Hey, you're okay!" he grinned, petting it on the head.

"I have to thank you as well, young man" the Elder spoke, making his way over to him. "You have a way with dragons; that is to say, they take a liking to you, which is rare. I placed my trust in that and it certainly didn't let either of us down. Kufufufu!"

"Uhh, yeah..." Dan replied, suddenly getting a playful nudge from Dragonair.

"Ahh, see what I mean? This Dragonair seems to have taken a liking to you. Perhaps you should take it with you" he suggested.

"Wha? Me?! Is that...is that legal? Err, I mean, you're the Dragon Elder, so of course it is... Well, how about it? Wanna come with?" he asked the sea dweller, getting another nudge.

Dan reached into his pocket, pulling out an empty Great Ball that he had on hand. Tapping it on the head, he watched as the dragon transformed into light and was sucked inside. It shook in his hand a few times before locking with a click, earning another chuckle from the Elder.

"Yes, a young trainer who in tune with dragons. You have latent abilities that you don't seem to be aware of. I would recommend getting them refined with a proper master. Err, you can keep the sword as well, I feel it suits you."

It wasn't until then that Dan remembered taking this sword from the shrine, looking down at the blade at its mention. Well if he wasn't asking for it back, that was alright with him. As he bid the old man and Clair farewell, he began to ponder his words. Latent abilities? He had heard that from that Vaporeon-hybrid guy too. Were they referring to the strange sensations that have been happening lately? Was this...Dragon Channeling? This train of thought continued even as he reached the Pokemon Center to heal his team. As much as he didn't want to, it seemed like he'd have to ask GRAY if he wanted to find a master.
