Kingdra

Hey everyone! I've never done a PotW before, and I know we have 2 already this week. Mine making it 3. But I really wanted to give it a shot with one of my personal favorites! Kingdra!!!

Pokedex

"Kingdra, the Water/Dragon Pokemon. It lives in caves on the seafloor and creates giant whirlpools every time it moves."

Base Stats
HP: 75
ATK: 95
DEF: 95
SPC ATK: 95
SPC DEF: 95
SPD: 85

Abilities
Swift Swim: When rainy, The Pokemon's speed doubles. However speed will not double on the turn weather becomes Heavy Rain.
Sniper: Power of critical-hit moves is tripled instead of doubled.
Dream World Ability - Damp: Explosion and Selfdestruct will not work while the Pokemon is on the field.

Its base stats may not be very impressive, but on a rain dance team this is a fierce foe! I personally use a Sniper Kingdra as part of my Dragon team. Kingdra has been my favorite Dragon since it was released. Till this day, that still stands. This Pokemon has many useful moves that help my team out greatly, and help cover some of their weaknesses. I'll show you the kind of Kingdra I'm packing!
Kingdra - Modest - EV trained in SPC ATK and SPD
Ability: Sniper
~Flash Cannon to fend off those annoying Ice types!
~Surf for Water STAB damage.
~Dragon Pulse for Dragon STAB damage.
~Ice Beam to fend off enemy Dragons and Flying types mostly.

Anyway, thanks for looking at my very 1st PotW of Kingdra! Let me know how I did! [All this information can be found on www.serebii.net images were found on www.photobucket.com]

Nice job Jerz. Could use some more information, like a moveset, but other than that, keep up the good work. 3nodding

Hmm, I'll try on my next PotW.
You meant like suggested moveset? Like for each kind of Kingdra for example? Like a raindance set, etc?

Kingdra always messes me up when it is played on the field, even if it is by an NPC. I never carry dragons with me so I can never kill it with a good STAB dragon move (though I have always wanted to come in with a dragon and smoke it with a dragon move). Even worse, it has good defenses so I can't just hope to OHKO it with non-boosted moves.
Overall, it is indeed a great Pokemon.
