So I was looking up information about helping to stay more positive and upbeat and stuff, and I can't find the link but it said that having regular periods helps your moods. Since I haven't had a period in years (I stay on the pill full time to stop them) I was wondering if there's any truth to it.
I figured now would be a good time to try it. Stay on the pill, but take the recommended week off for a period. See if that helps me stay more upbeat in general. I'm also going to try to get in with a local subsidized mental health clinic for some anti anxiety meds, but I don't want to go back on anything full-time if I don't have to. I want to be less negative though and I wondered if this would help.
It's not like I have any reason to stop my periods right now.. I'm not likely to be sexually active again for a long, long time.

Go for it, what have you go to lose? I pain through my week knowing that the hormones keep me healthy and balanced. I haven't taken any birth control pills before, since I'm into the whole natural thing. And hell, I'll deal with a few zits the week before, it's okay! Learning to stay positive and getting help with it is a wonderful thing -- it will change your life completely. I hope it works out for you. <3

I'd go insane without my periods, but only because NO PERIOD=PREGNANT is permanently burned into my psyche.
