So the past 4 years I have listened to my aunt say at least once a year that I should think about changing my major, because I seem to being bad in my classes/I drop them.
I'm going to Michigan Technological University for a bachelors in biology (concentration Ecology), with an Art minor on the side (hopefully).
I got C's and CD's in my normal chemistry class, And dropped Organic up at Tech because it is a weeder class and they put a first year professor in charge of the class (the year i took it) and the only word that you can really understand was "paper" she was foreign... i don't have anything against them... but OMFG if you are going to TEACH be able to actually speak the language of the country you are in scream stare
I took it at home last summer and and got a BC, I'm taking Orgo 2 this summer with the same professor as last summer. This past school year was rough. Passed Physics 1 with a CD, and Failed physics 2... and failed human nutrition, Dropped biostats. But got an A in my Tropical Island biology class.
I see myself getting bad grades in the classes that are... not biology/forest. Tropical Island- A Botany, Genetics- B Zology, Ornithology- BC Biology 1, Biology 2, Principles of Ecology, Evolution (father passed away), - C Principles of Biochemistry- CD Human Nutrition- F
Only two classes have i don't relatively poorly. The rest I see me doing good in (average to me is good.... especially when it is taken with other hard science/math classes.) Botany, Gentetics, and Evolution I took at the same time. All my math classes i have gotten BC-B grades in except for a class that I didn't agree with the professor (Calc for Life seinces.... claimed we were all buisness majors so we didn't need to learn the biology use of what he was teaching....-_-)
I dropped bio stats in hopes to save my physics and Nutrition grades..... it was the only class I veiwed as interesting this pass semester....
so Sorry for the rant thing.... just wondering if I am wrong in thinking I still want a biology degree.... or if I should throw the last four years out the window and try to find a place that I can get an Art degree, Graphic Design degree, or game development degree.... because those are my other interests....
Aunt says I should change to an English degree since I like to write stories.... taking Advanced Creative writing kind of destroyed my motivation for writing.... and I have badish grammar/spelling as it is so... I don't see myself enjoying those types of classes.

I stopped going for my Bio degree and I regret it. Of course I switched over to Vet Tech so a lot of what I'd already done towards my Bio degree worked towards that.
The reason I regret stopping is that most jobs in my chosen field want you to have a Bachelors degree, doesn't matter what in, just a Bachelors. And Vet Tech is just an Associates degree.
