A guy that I grew up with had a pet crow, Jimmy, who would come to school with him every day and hang around until it was time to go home. Jimmy would steal the marbles right in the middle of a game, try to get little girls' jewelry, etc., just loved shiny things. Periodically, his owner would go through Jimmy's stash at home and bring things back to school. Jimmy also knew how to talk....as we all got older, Jimmy's vocabulary became "more colorful," and he would shout obscene things at the little kids on the playground! Jimmy was eventually banned from school during school hours, and had to stay in his cage at home during the day. We really missed him! LOL!

Crows and ravens are very intelligent! They cache food like we do, coming back to their caches even months later in winter, and they even know when it goes bad. They can tell the difference between a good person and a thief. They can use tools. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CrowYeah, I know wikipedia... but I have seen this info other places too.
