Talya rushed out of the castle to get down to the pitch for the tryouts. The little Second Year was hopeful that this was to be her year to be called up to be part of the first team. The Russian girl learned a lot by being on the bench behind the starters and took advantage of the time to learn how to handle her broomstick and how to play her position. It was different, flying a broomstick, rather than riding her horses; there wasn’t the give and take and the bond of trust between horse and rider with a broomstick. But the thrill of racing the wind was there, and she could do things on a broomstick she couldn’t with a horse.
Unfortunately, Talya found she had yet to start earning her own record. Her older sister graduated as the Keptin of House Keltainen’s Quidditch team, and won the equivalent of the Quidditch Cup, while Talya was still a Reserve. Granted, she put in a good showing at the Spring Scrimmage, but that didn’t count in the Cup standings for anything, even if it provided her game experience. Today, she hoped her luck would change, as several players graduated, and at least one stepped away from the team to focus on studies. There are so many vacancies, surely there’s a space for me,’ she thought hopefully. Natalya was dressed in a long, oversized Hufflepuff sweater whose hem was practically down to her knees, and the sleeves were rolled up to her elbows, a pair of jeans, and a serviceable pair of sneakers.
Seeing the newly promoted leaders of the team, Natalya bounced over to them, and said excitedly, “I’m ready to fly when you are… I also brought granola bites that I made for the team. They are good for both horse and rider.” With that, she plonked down a large bag. The contents were something she would make for her horseback expeditions, trail bars that would inevitably fall apart into bite-sized bits.

Eddie was ready for quidditch this year. He had gotten to be pretty good, but it would be a little different without Bieito there. And apparently the captaincy had been switched. Emily had decided to step back this year, so Persephone was taking the helm. After a nice breakfast with Iana, the two split up so they could get ready for their respective tryouts. He had gotten a new broom this year, and Iana had his last one for this year, and he was pretty excited to fly on it. He was also a bit nervous that Anne might be there to watch. She had promised that she would make sure that he was in more pictures this year. Apparently she felt bad that he was always the person behind the camera. Of course, he did not think he was terribly photogenic... but if she were to insist.
As he walked outside, Eddie noticed he was one of the few there so far. He waved toward the girls, then filled out his paperwork for the year. Following that, he curled into his comfy Hufflepuff sweater. It was a nice fall day, but he never minded extra comfort.

Fiadh got ready for her last tryouts. Hair tied up in a high pony, she took a deep breath. The moment was bitter sweet as she let out a sigh and headed out the door. Walking over to the Quidditch pitch, broom in hand, Fia remembered her first tryouts. She wasn't going to go but all her friends were into it. Sure she could have stayed on the sidelines with Alice. Probably would have been just as fun but she enjoyed the game. This would be her last season, good or bad, and she wasn't going let it go to waste. Fiadh joined her housemates, filling out the form before getting to her stretches. This was it, time to make some lasting memories.

Kavi made his way down to try-outs after his morning jog, which he'd had to do alone since his brother graduated. He approved of the new captain and vice captain picks, since he knew he was nowhere near what was needed to be captain. He content to just play the game.

Luke walked onto the quidditch pitch, eyes roving over the field. He was honestly a little nervous about trying out for the team. Everyone at Hogwarts had been really welcoming so far, but he still sort of felt like an outsider. It was probably going to get better in time, but at the moment, it was still weird. Once he was close to the group of other students, he straightened his shoulders and put on a friendly smile. "Hello, everyone," he said, gripping his broom tight in his hand.

When his parents had taken them to Diagon for Rian's supplies and he saw flyers for a youth team he had all but begged to be included but unfortunately they'd declined since "no one could guarantee availability." At least they were apologetic about it so it sorta lessened the hurt. What really did it though was when his father promised that if he managed to get on a team, his first year as a starter he'd buy him a brand new broom! He knew there was no way he was doing that as a first year (maybe as a second year at that if he were really lucky probably) but still! During the summer, he looked over some Quidditch books about flying and strategies and had been debating between a seeker or a beater for a while before ultimately deciding on beater. He knew he wasn't the biggest just yet but both his parents were relatively tall and he was pretty active, so he figured if he worked at it he would do just fine! Jonah had been waiting for tryouts to open all week and when they had, he accidentally slept in! He rushed through putting on clothes and grabbing some toast from the great hall before rushing outside. He thinks he maybe ate about half of the toast with the rest breaking away into the wind with how fast he was rushing but it was worth it when he made it to the field and saw people still on the ground. He went over to where he saw the forms and tried to give a grin and who he thought were the captains but he was still huffing and puffing and the sweat was making his glasses slip, so maybe he should've waited until he back to normal.

Clubs Will go here when steffy remembers ▬▬"If I can make someone smile, even just for a moment, I’ll give everything I have to do it."▬▬ Henrick hadn't improved in quidditch last year, he was still just a mediocre player, it was rather disheartening. He filled out his form as usual, and then sat on the sidelines waiting for tryouts to start, of course he was sure he's be on the bench, again. He couldn't blame the captain he was just bad at being a beater, but it was his family legacy. He wasn't as bold as Irmak to go for seeker, he wasn't as swift as Xeno to go for chaser, and he knew if he went for keeper he would be the laughing stock of his family. He had to be beater, or maybe he should just be a reserve player for his entire Hogwarts time.
