Yeah, yeah, there's a sticky. I'm the Captain. I don't care.
I want to know what everybody thinks we should do for this guild. Honest and frank.
I was considering maybe clearing out/getting rid of some of the stickies, maybe clearing out some old threads so people don't think "Oh there's already a thread for that, I don't want to start a new one" etc.
New crew? New contest? Some kind of event? What can we do to get activity up?
Maybe start a thread in the HP subforum about Harry Potter Slash (there's already a femslash thread) with a link to here?
Thoughts. Opinions?
I was thinking of going through and clearing stuff out, but I wanted to see what everybody thought. There's a lot to do, and I think I'm the only crew around. Which, you know, happens. Life gets in the way, Gaia loses its appeal, etc.

I run a Pokemon Slash guild, and I know one thing that always helps is getting a bunch of new members. Maybe go through th HP subforum and send out invites to people who post in those shipping threads?
Also: Maybe a fanfic contest?

♫ I'm still sort of around. Between my addiction to tumblr and a Glee Facebook RP I tend to forget about Gaia most days, lol.
But if I'm needed here I can be around more.
As for activity, it's hard to say. Doing some cleaning and starting a thread in the subforum would definitely be a good step, but we do have to accept we'll never get activity up super high 1. because guilds seem to be getting less and less popular unless they involve mindless bumping 2. HP fandom just isn't what it used to be.
As of right now, I don't think there's a point to holding any contests/events because I don't think there'll be enough people around/willing to partake, but if we get more activity then those type of things would definitely be a good step.

I kind of agree with you. Mindless bumping guilds are the rage. Ah well.
I like Ren's idea of invites in shipping threads, etc. Maybe we can get something going with that!
