The following villains are up to no good again, the scoundrels!

This is a listing of which butts you can kick what missions are currently available.

Please make sure you have read the Guidelines sticky thread before going ahead with a mission.


When taking on a SOLO RP mission:


  • Write your response in your journal and make sure you indicate somewhere that its a mission.

  • Alternatively, you may also create a thread in the relevant forum (Academy/Megapolis) and tag it with [SOLO]. Make sure its linked back to your journal though.

  • All SOLO RP missions are worth 1 point.

  • You may write only one entry per prompt.

  • Unless it is stated in the OOC Notes, you do not need to roll dice to determine SUCCESS or FAIL. Which means you are free to determine the outcome yourself.

  • If you need to roll for SUCCESS or FAIL, roll an 8-sided die. If its in your journal, roll BEFORE you write your response. (VERY IMPORTANT because you can't edit a roll into your post once its posted).

  • Even numbers are SUCCESS and odd numbers are FAIL.

An explosive situation [color=white]

You have just received a report that an office building in downtown Crantel has been rigged with bombs. By who is not important right now, but the police desperately need help. There's the issue of crowd control, and then there's the issue of finding AND diffusing the bombs before they blow, oh dear.

You've been assigned the duty of helping with crowd control, since you don't have practical experience with bomb diffusion. Blue or red wires, you have no idea. What you can do though, is help with crowd control.

What was the scene like when you got there? Were people panicking? Was it all chaos and disorganized or were people simply gawking and pointing?
And when you got there, what did you do? Did the bombs go off in the end or were they all successfully diffused?

OOC Notes:

= Where this report came from is up to you to decide! Live news broadcast, SA's supercomputer, one of the founders, etc. Be creative!

= You may include NPCs, either civilian or villain, to spice things up. The founders and Flo, however, are off limits.


Flo's mission![color=white]

This mission calls for a bit of stealth, research, and lots of luck. Flo has gotten wind that there's a cat "terrorist" going around Megapolis. It may sound like a joke, but this person has been making rounds to either torture, maim, and in some cases, kill stray cats. Flo has been putting in a lot of effort trying to track this adjklafslf down, but she simply doesn't have the time or manpower to do it alone. This is where she needs your help.

So far, Flo's research has revealed that the culprit is a male, tall and skinny build, and usually wears jeans and a black hooded jacket. He strikes at random times and places, but Flo has been tracking his movements and she is predicting that the next attack will be somewhere in Sewit or Upper Sewit. Your job is to do some prowling around when you're free, and attempt to nab the asdjkldf if you find him.

OOC Notes:

= You will need to roll an 8-sided die in your journal entry BEFORE you write your response (IMPT that you do so! Because you can't go back to edit in a roll once you've posted it). Even numbers mean you caught him and odd numbers mean you didn't get him.

= I know he sounds like a sadistic guy, but he's really just a rich and depressed teenager who hates cats. OR, he could be the Seer, one of the mad villains who are simply psycho. You can pick and choose which one you'd rather encounter.


Background checks[color=white]

Mr Good Vibes is one of those villains who aren't really villainous by nature. It's pretty common knowledge that he has no ambition whatsoever, but according to the veteran heroes, there is someone controlling him and forcing him to do villainous deeds. Terrible isn't it...

Of course, such a tantalizing story would peak your interest and you decide to do some investigation into his past. Your research yielded plenty of his past exploits, but nothing on the true mastermind (drats). Overall though, it's pretty conclusive that this guy really IS not all that bad. True, he does threaten the safety of the public sometimes, but he always tries to avoid casualties where possible, sometimes (but very rarely) even putting himself in danger to save them.

Now one day, you're on your way back to the academy after some grocery shopping at the nearest supermart when all of a sudden, Mr Good Vibes appears out of nowhere, forcefully grabs you, holding you against him, and holds a knife at your neck, the blade dangerously close.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you," he whispers somewhat tiredly into your ear, "I need to get away from the police so I would be very grateful if you don't try to escape. But any funny moves and I will have to kill you."

Great, he's holding you hostage, policemen are rounding the corner by the hordes, and your groceries are all over the pavement.

What will you do now? Will you stay silent and help him get away? He's not inherently bad right? He's being forced to do someone else's bidding after all.
Or will you turn the tables on him right there and fight him? Intentional or not, he's still a danger to people. AND he spilled all your groceries.


☎ This mission is open to characters that are at least sidekick level.

OOC Notes:

= You are free to RP Mr Good Vibes as you see fit. He is a gentleman in general, but if you choose to fight him, he will not hesitate to fight back no matter how young/pretty/awesome you are.

= Take note that he has powers of persuasion, meaning that he can, and will use them to persuade you to obey him. However, he cannot do this on so many people simultaneously, which is why he's running from the hordes of police going after him.

= For this solo, you may assume that he is too tired from running to actually "persuade" you effectively therefore making it easy for you break away from his persuasion.

= You are free to cook up some "past exploits" for him if you wish to. If its a really convincing/wonderful story, we might even grant bonus points!

Mount Rock is at it again people. He managed to smash through his cell (somehow, again) and is now guzzling food and drink everywhere he goes. And... well personally I don't think it's a huge deal since, I myself eat a lot too, you know that feeling of being hungry right? I get that all the time, and believe me it's not a good feeling, so ye--
WOAH, he did not just snatch that ice cream from a little boy.
That's it man he's going down.

Okay Mount Rock has the stamina of... a mountain, really. So unless you pack a punch like The Captain, I suggest you get a team of two or more to take this guy down.


██ INSTRUCTIONS:

Get a team of at least two sidekicks. Rookies are allowed provided there are at least 2 sidekicks or 1 hero.
We would recommend a team of three for this challenge though, things might get tough if you have only two.

In your first post, roll for your HP.
For rookies and sidekicks, roll four 10-sided dice. Add up the highest three numbers to get your HP. If your HP very low (eg. 15 and below), you can RP some kind of excuse to explain why, like "oh I got a flu".

For heroes, roll five 10-sided dice. Add up the higest four numbers to get your total HP. If your HP is very low (eg. 20 and below), you can RP some kind of explanation too, like "I had indigestion just now".

Mt Rock has a fixed HP of 50.

Each person takes turns to post. Go on a search for Rock until he appears in your thread.
A mod will post to indicate his appearance. Once Mt Rock shows up, the dice rolling battle begins!

When battling,
roll four 8-sided dice each time you post. Based on the results you get, edit the post accordingly with your RP response.

So what do those numbers mean

First number represents the amount of damage you are about to do to Mt. Rock.
Second number determines if your attack is successful (1,2,3,4), missed (5,6), dodged (7), or reflected/recoil damage ( 8 ) [half the damage you inflict on Mt Rock is dealt back to you]
Third number represents the amount of damage Mt. Rock is about to inflict on you.
Fourth number determines if his attack is successful (1,2,3,4), missed (5,6), dodged (7) or reflected ( 8 ) [half the damage Mt Rock did to you is reflected back on him, or recoil damage]

If you get KO'ed,
ie. your HP hits zero or below, you are down and not allowed to fight for the next two posts. On your third post, you recover one third of your HP (round it up if its a weird number) and you can fight again, OR you can sit out another two posts and recover two thirds of your HP on your sixth post.
NOTE: in our test RP Flo's HP goes into the negative. IGNORE THAT, the lowest you can go is 0.

Take note
that Mt Rock is meant to act like punching bag. Mods will only post in your thread once to indicate you have found Mt Rock. After that you will have to RP his actions and movements. The NPC List should give you some idea of his charming personality.

In your RP posts, keep track of the damage done to Mt Rock and yourself and the remaining HP both of you have left.

Eg.
Character HP: 17
Rock's HP: 47


██ ENDING
There are two ways this mission can end, your team either has SUCCESS, or FAIL.

SUCCESS missions will get you 3 points per person.

FAIL missions will get you 1 point per person.

Your mission is a SUCCESS if you manage to whittle Mount Rock's HP to 0 and there is still at least ONE person still standing. End the RP by, what else, throwing him back in jail and celebrating.

On the other hand, you will FAIL your mission if everyone's HP reaches 0 before you can take Rock down. In that case, end the RP appropriately. You'll survive to see another day but Mount Rock will continue to terrorize the city with his hunger.
