Wiping the sweat from her brow, the Bulbasaur tomboy glanced up at the sky for a few moments before continuing on her walk. The sun was abstracted by clouds, making her ability lay dormant and her run longer across the Skyarrow Bridge. Not that it was a total bad thing. She cold touched breeze helped in cooling her down during and after. But she liked to see how fast she could go with her ability. Times like these she was glad she couldn't evolve. She might lose it. Then Feuer would gain too much of an advantage over her. The teenager couldn't have that.

There was a vending machine coming closer. Not feeling like ordering something from across a counter, Rosie reached into her pocket for some loose change, sticking it into the machine and getting a cold can of pop. Popping it open, she took one long drink from it, feeling half of the can become empty in one gulp. Once her thirst was satisfied, she continued down the sidewalk.

People usually didn't watch her. Not like she knew they did other PokeHuman. Guess that was an advantage to only having the spots of a Bulbasaur across her cheeks.

Before the soup shop came into view, the young woman had a second can in hand. Dropping the empty one into a bin outside, the entered the building, just wanting a quiet place to relax before running back across the bridge for home.

It seemed it was going to be yet another uneventful day, but, that wasn't so bad. So far, the most action the adult male got was when a young boy came up and questioned him on his ears and tail before being whisked away by his mother. He didn't mind really, the Lucario came to terms that PokeHumans weren't a normal sight and knew to expect such curiosity, at least, from the younger ones. It was also come to be expected in a public place like a soup shop.

Having felt cooped up back at home, he had left and wandered the area for some unknown time. After awhile, he had gotten tired and stumbled upon this shop, so he had decided to step inside for some rest and possibly something to nibble on, energy for the trek back home. He had also hoped that he could possibly pick up a job along the way, but it wasn't a big deal that he did not. There are plenty of other days to try for one. Besides, not many needed protections and he sure did not know of any celebrities in the area. Oh well. He thought, biting at his lip piercing softly as he read a newspaper, tail flicking idly.

The young Bulbasaur was sitting at a table near the windows, leaning back against it in a not-so-ladylike way. In fact, if one were to ignore the obvious female traits, it would be easy to assume she was male just by the way she carried herself. Slumped shoulders. One arm slung over the back of the chair as she looked out the window at a diagonal angle to the table. Thus she likely saw the strange man come into the shop before he even saw her, sitting quietly at a table by herself.

It was obvious right away he was a Pokehuman, with his ears and tail. Most Pokemon changed human seemed to retain their ears and tail the most, Rosie noticed. Or horns, in the case of some others. Strange, though. Bulbasaur had ears and she had none.

She'd never seen this one before. At least, she couldn't remember ever see him before. She didn't often come into the city, aside from her runs across the bridge or when Feuer took her somewhere. Otherwise, she was perfectly happy staying in the forest where she lived. Exploring and enjoying nature. Still, it was interesting to come across more like her. Rosie had never lived the life of a Pokemon like most of the others had.

While stuck in her thoughts, the young woman was unaware she had been staring at the man the entire time. Trying to guess what kind of Pokemon he was.

Ridley continued to read the paper in his hands, tail swaying side to side idly. The Lucario male was unaware of the young Pokegirl that was currently staring at him.

Though he hadn't met many of them, he was certain that there were other PokeHumans around. It was also obvious because, surely, there was no was no way he was the only one in the world. He was sure of this because his roommate was one himself. As for meeting the others, it was not a big deal to him if he encountered them or not... he wasn't the most talkative anyways, pretty certain that he would be found boring anyways if he were to meet another PokeHuman like himself. Also, there could have been cases where he might have walked by many Pokehumans and not realizing it, not all of them could have ears and a tail like himself. If he came across another of his 'kind', then he did, if not, than oh well... it would not be the end of the world.

Continuing to peruse the articles in the paper, his red eyes scanned the words precisely. It was as he shifted the paper to turn the page that he felt eyes on him. Blinking slightly, he turned his head and noticed the girl sitting at a window table. He looked no way bothered that she seemed to be gawking at him, he would assume he would be quite an amazing thing to see with his tail and ears, even his piercings brought him attention. He would hate to see what reaction he would get if others were to spot the two guns in their holsters under his jacket. But that was far from the point. Folding the paper some and resting it on his lap, he bowed his head in acknowledgment to the girl and spoke softly. "Can I help you?"

Rosie's red eyes went a little wide for a moment and she blushed in embarrassment. The heat on her cheeks made her a little irritated. Blushing like a girl. Well, at least she wasn't over something stupid like a compliment or something cheesy like touching hands over a bucket of popcorn. Those movies were so stupid. All of them.

"No," the Bulbasaur answered, willing the warmth of her cheeks to go away. It made the spots along her face blend in more with the color of her skin when she blushed. Now they stood back out against her sunkissed cheeks. "I wasn't meaning to stare. I'm sorry."

She couldn't be sure he noticed she wasn't a regular human in the soup shop, gawking at the oddities that was a Pokehuman. As much as she was gawking. Trying to guess what he was from her short memory of the different species of Pokemon. Did Pokehuman who used to be Pokemon know how many there really were? Or was it just her? Never had a trainer to take her around the different regions. See the different species. She knew of the ones that inhabited the forest where she lived. The common birds, bugs, and rodents. She'd even seen an Audino once. Never one like this man.

Seeing the color rise on her cheeks, his ears shifted slightly, probably flattening a bit. He didn't mean to embarrass her. Or perhaps he startled her when he caught her? Either way, it wasn't his intention and he voiced this. "I am sorry if I had scared you." With this, his ears slowly returned to their upright position.

When the girl had denied needing something and apologized, he nodded to her. Shaking his paper, he prepared to read it again, but kept it down for now. Though she had said that there wasn't anything she needed, Ridley still felt that there was something on her mind, otherwise, she wouldn't have been eying him so intently. With only a slight c**k of his head, he called back to her, "there seems to be something troubling you. Perhaps I can help?"

Although he wasn't exactly sure what it was, he felt there was something different about the girl who had been eying him. One might argue that, everyone's different, but it was something more with the girl. Perhaps it was the spots on her cheeks? Whatever the reason, he had caught it when he saw her from the corner of his eyes, but did not worry much about it. He knew of other Pokehumans around and knew quite a number of species, but he wasn't the type to go search them out or announce what he was to them, unless they asked.
