A knock at the door. "Come in!" He Chimed. The person walked in. "Oh, hey... Wait... What are you doing here? Wait why do you have that?!"
Blood splatted across the wall. The killer pulled out a gun. BANG BANG BANG!!!!! The killer drops the weapon and sheds their blood covered clothes into the fire place, and lights a fire.
"Jack? Hey I'm here to tell you tha- OH MY..." Kaylee Saunders walks into the open room to find her ex-boyfriend's dead body behind the sofa.

RULES!!!!! The extras (witnesses and other) have no definitive profile, the prosecutor has a detective that is played by the prosecutor (the same with defense). But I'm only doing this on one condition, I will give said attorney evidence, they will post saying, "Here's the evidence!" I will update everything and I will trust you not to do this (OH depending on the detective and attorney themselves i will give you different bits, parts, or whatever of the evidence. one attorney might have the case winning piece, the other one might have something that will ruin the other attorney forever.): _detective- I have a piece of evidence that proves *name* is guilty! _prosecutor- Coolio! i'm going to win this case! *at trial* there was a video taken of the suspect killing the victim _judge- *name* is guilty, adjourned. So it's not good.just bear with me, depending on the detective I will Rp correctly, if he/she is clumsy, I'll miss a few pieces of evidence until later. (By "I" I mean in this RP there will be more RPs like this one and others will get the chance to be the extras, and heck if need be I'll even step out of the RP for others.) EVIDENCE!!!!!!! Material items:2 knifes, similar in shape and brand: one found in Kaylee's hand covered in blood, other cleaned and on coffee table. One 1920's revolver. three bullet casings, sterling silver. Time frames:ToD: 8:00 body found 9:00 police arrived: 9:15 Victim: Jack Dead: Student at Grail University. Age: 26 Found by girlfriend, Kaylee Saunders, who was going to break up with him. Was in a club with cousin, we don't know what the club was about. CoD: stab wounds to the chest, and shot three times, once to the groin, once to the left forearm, and once in the belly button, at point-blank range. crime scene: Jack's studio apartment. Signs of struggle. Witnesses: Suspect: Kaylee Saunders: Age: 22 Found the body of Jack Dead, went to his house to break up with him due to his "gambling problems" and his lack of respect. Kaylee is a student at Grail University. She called police, but when she was found she had a knife in her hands and blood on her clothes, she was immediately detained. Job: Baker in local bakery Tiney Hiro: Age:22 Kaylee's best friend. Jhon Doe: Age: ?? Job: ?? victim's cousin, both were in a club of some sort, but left for an unknown reason. Other characters/officers: Officer Glady: Age:36 Devoted to the Justice system, he looks rough on the outside, but he is actually really kind and caring. Looks: Broad chest, brown hair that is peppered near his ears, has small sideburns and a mustache that is thick and black. Detective: Det. Maree Jackson Prosecutor: Defense attorney(+ friend): Mr. Harold Bardman Attorney at Law and Mr. Riley Richmond

As for MORE RULES! follow regular RPing rules and all of that, no being mean, but here's a few one I hold to my heart heart blaugh ) No big swears ex. F-word, Both B-words, C-word. (using a *bleep* is okay, I use them. I think it's easy to figure out what the bleep is.) words such as crap and the lesser offensive words are fine. scream ) unless it's your character talking (like a prosecutor isn't nice to his/her detective) be nice, I've been in RPs where people's characters are mean to me because the RPer and I got into a fight about trivial things. exclaim ) have fun, if you hate RPing, WHY DO IT?! arrow ) be literate unless your character is "gangstah" then only use horrible slang when they are talking, not when they are doing actions. talk2hand ) I'm fine with smaller posts, but atleast do posts that are a respectable size, but I understand if you parents/friends er whatever tell you to get off the computer, then you type "not done will finish later." and we all will be content! That's all I can think of so follow these and I'll not get really really really really really really REALLY

Maree walked up to the crime scene with a camera in hand. She sigh. It was always the same, a gambler didn't pay back the money he owed people, and he got killed. She took some pictures of the scene, and looked around for the Medical Examiner. He was obviously running late, but Maree could understand, the traffic was horrible this time of day. Deciding that she had taken enough photos Maree went to go talk to the witness.
She started with the basics:
((OOC: I'm presuming by detained you mean only in the back of the police car, in hand cuffs, not any where else))
"Ma'am, I am awfully sorry for your loss, but if you are able to help us, we could catch this killer"

"I-I-I don't know, I mean... I had just come to...to... well... break up with him. The door was open so I walked in, the room was a mess, and then... I saw a pool of blood, he was just laying there." Kaylee sobbed as she told her story.
"Boss, we eh... found her all bloody like she is with the murder weapon." a gumshoe said on the other side of the car. "I'm Officer Glady, detective, the new head of the department here."
"I-I... It's my knife, my friend Tiney, Tiney Hiro, she... She was teaching me how to cook better. I work as a baker in a local bakery." Kaylee started to breakdown into tears. "I tried to fix his wounds, I hated him, but I didn't want him killed!"

"It alright Kaylee" Dectivive Maree said to the girl weeping into her hands. "Don't worry, we will find this Killer. Is there anyone that you know of that had a grudge with him? Any debts he owed, or even anyone who was angry with him? Anything you can tell us would be of help.

"I-I don't know. I mean he would go to a meeting or something, but he never told me about anything." Kaylee wiped her tears off. "do you believe that I'm innocent?"
"Don't answer that detective," Glady warned over his shoulder.
"Um... If you want to know more about the club Jhon Doe Jack's cousin was part of it but he left it. I don't know why, I'd ask him." Kaylee sat in the car, her bare legs sticking out through her knee-hight skirt.
"Hey kid, look, once we get to the detention center I'll give you some clean clothes, one because you are covered blood and you are filthy and two what you are wearing is evidence." a kind female officer said from the passenger's side of the car.

"Thank you for the help. You can go now." Detective Maree said to the you girl "I don't have any more questions for now, but we might have some later, so keep available"
Maree watch the car drive off, with the girl in it to the office. She picked up her kit, and walked towards the crime scene. She walked up and showed her credentials to the officer standing guard, who lifted up the police tape for her.
Maree Turned towards Officer Glady. "Do you know If the ME has arrived yet? We shouldn't move the body if (s)he hasn't."

"Yhea, he's been here, I do think that he's just finishing up." Glady gestured toward a man in his early sixties fumbling with things over the body of the victim.
"Oh, detective, hello, my name is Henry Jogrenesky MacHorenster Von gorgon. Call me Henn..." The old man stood his green eyes sparkled as he spoke his long, strange name. "Now it would seem that the CoD is the bullets that were implanted in this poor man's body, BUT! It was in fact the combination of both the stabbing and the shooting that killed him." he paused to look at the body again.

"Thank's Henry" Detective Maree said. She bent down to look at the body and then though out loud "So the man was Stabbed and then shot?" Maree asked Henry nodded "Who would stab some one then shoot him?" Detective Maree looked around. Standing up she asked "Do you have crime scene training Officer Glady?"

"EH? Do I have... yes, of course I do! Are you insulting me?!" Officer Glady puffed him his chest in offence.
"Calm down Hohgie, it's fine. Don't get offended by him miss. but yes, 'Im afraid that he was stabbed then shot. Perhaps because the kill wanted to make sure that he was killed." Henn shrugged.
"Yhea, yhea, I'll calm down alright... hrumf"

Maree looked toward officer Glady "Sorry for insulting you officer, but I was wondering if I needed to call in some help. obviously I don't, because you are here. Now, could you possibly get to work, taking photos for me? I'm going to start collecting samples" she said politely, opening her box. Maree bent down to swab several parts of the blood pool with a cotton swab.
