Curse Mark Applying For: The Cursed Seal of Earth

How did your RPC receive the curse mark? Kazumi received it from her mother. Her mother received it from an ancestor of a shinobi called "Kabuto" shortly after Kazumi was born. Because of the power struggle at home, Kazumi's mother was considering passing it one to one of her daughters, in order to protect themselves. She gave it to Kazumi, even though her sister had demanded it, and Kazumi wasn't even informed her mother had one. However because her mother was aware of her sister's betrayal, she gave it to Kazumi knowing her sister would eventually try to kill her, or Kazumi herself and wanted to protect her. She didn't expect the mark to actually work, she assumed it would kill her. She wanted it to kill her, inorder to take her out of this pointless bloodshed, and to avoid her further suffering. Kazumi was 12, and her sister found out two years later.

Sample: Kazumi turbulently cascaded in through the trees of the of forest, as her heart thundered in her ribcage. She was panting heavily, beads of perspiration skimmed her face as her heart began to palpitate. She moaned quietly as she pumped her legs to the limit, increasing her speed. She wouldn't be able to keep this up much longer. She was fast- but not fast enough. This was the Inoue clan she was dealing with, definately not ones to be trifled with. She knew this day would come, but there was nothing she could do about it. She skillfully darted in between the trees, leaping from branch to branch only to launch off again. She clenched her fist and gritted her teeth. She could feel her stamina slowly delimiting. She didn't have much to begin with and she was about to run out of breath. A single flow of blood slid down her cheek from the gash, and she wiped it away quickly with the back of her hand. She chanced a quick glance behind her, she could see the dark figures flashing through out the night, pursuing her. Hunting her. Killing her. She remembered about the kunai in her back and the pain came flooding back. She winced as the pain seared through her body, causing her back to throb. But that wasn't the only thing that was throbbing. She brought her hand to her neck hesitantly and let out a low yell as it throbbed intensely. She was dying to scream. Her breathing turned into hyperventilation. She brought her hand back and felt in her pouch for something. She pulled out a kunai with a paper bomb attached to it, took a deep breath and hopped on her left foot to turn around, still floating backwards facing her oppressors. Without a second thought she fired the kunai a few branches in front of her, causing a mass explosion as the trees in front of her rocketed backwards and forwards, becoming consumed by the fire and temporarily blinding Kazumi.

Kazumi tumbled onto a branch further back, safely avoiding the explosion. She knew it would be no good to them, but she needed a diversion. Some time. She clutched her shoulder with her hands and let out a low squeal, which simulated into a scream. The throbbing became deeply intense, pounding painfully slow along with her heart. Her breathing was weak, letting out low puffs every few seconds. The pain was stimulating her breathing. Amongst the smoke, she could see shadows of three people approaching her. She snared as she watched them approach, landing lightly. She looked down. A lowly chuckle overcame her. "Oh my, what have we here?" One of them asked playfully, taking a step towards her. "I knew you wouldn't do something that stupid, it was a diversion. Why the need for a diversion, hmmm? Come now what's wrong Kazumi." He said teasing, still approaching.
"Back off if you know what's good for you," she growled low. The man just laughed, walking right in front of her. He lifted her by the scruff off the neck, and hoisted her up. Kazumi roared in pain, her body shaking. He flashed a devious grin at her, and launched her forward, right onto the other branch. She hit the tree trunk with a crash, denting it effectively. "Foolish girl." The man said, leaping to the other branch and approaching her. He pulled out a kunai, ready to use it. "I expected more of a fight, you're a disgrace to the Kato clan. Well, not that they were decent anyway."

Kazumi's heart thundered with rage as the final palpation occurred, crashing through her body. She gasped loudly. She could hear her heartbeat thunder. But suddenly the pain dimmed and ceased. The pain became numb now, she couldn't feel anything. She thought the curse mark's pain had gone and it wouldn't activate now. She glanced in the direction of the shinobi. The anger was slowly crawling over her body. It burned her skin. Something physically was crawling over her, not just the anger. She shook as her body twitched unnaturally. The darkened shade of the tree consumed her. A moment later a devious chuckle erupted from the shadows. The man stopped and raised his eyebrow at her.
"What's so funny?" He asked.
Kazumi chuckled darkly again.
"Come find out." She whispered demonically.
Kazumi slowly edged her way out of the shadows, with an unnaturally demonic look in her eye. A distinctive labyrinth like pattern had erupted and enveloped her skin, black in colour.

The oppressing shinobi backed away, apart from the one who had approached her. He turned around and grumbled at his comrades. "What the hell is the matter with you!" One of them trembled with fear as he rose his finger slowly to point at Kazumi. The man turned around with his eyes widened. Kazumi's cursemark had activated, for the first time ever. She felt exhilarated- this new found power. She didn't know why she never activated it years ago.

Just at that moment, more shinobi from the clan had arrived, there were seven in total now. Kazumi couldn't help a psychotic smile crawl across her lips. "This should be fun," she teased. She flashed out of their sight, moving so fast they wouldn't be able to see her. She appeared above two of the shinobi, and darted downwards with her arms outstretched. They weren't even aware she was there, they could not evade. She slammed them down by the necks in a thunderous lariat style, clobbering them effortless into branch and snapping their necks. The branch they were on collapsed, sending their bodies into the darkness below. Kazumi chuckled and darted out of the way in another flash aiming for another shinobi. She was moving so electrically they were not aware of what was happening, until it happened. She appeared a few feet in front of one of the shinobis, and darted aggressively towards them performing a sucker punch, which ultimately blasted them both through the tree trunk. Kazumi flashed before she could fall, and aimed for the next victim. Four left. She flashed in the centre of them, as they formed a circle. She placed her hands on her hips and chuckled. They immediately came at her, shouting frantically. She laughed and performed a spinning top, she was spinning that fast it looked like a miniature tornado. They could not turn away, and by the time her legs came in contact with them they were drilled in the head which caused instant death and blasted them miles beyond the forest. She slowed down and stopped. The remaining shinobi glared at her.

"You think your so tough?!" He roared and pulled out his katana, ready to use it. Kazumi giggled innocently. "Come at me." She growled and flashed a devious grin. He roared and approached, Kazumi not bothering to move. She decided to use something interesting on him. As soon as he got close enough, she preformed a butterfly on the leaves, flipping over him and digging her heel into his back. He let out a harrowing scream as his body fell limply onto the hard branch, letting out scattered screams as crimson blood flooded from his back. Kazumi stood over him and laughed as she pressed her foot deeper into his back. "Please! Stop!" He cried. Kazumi's eyes flashed in the moonlight as her grin widened. "No can do," she replied coldly and pulled out her blade. She shoved it into the back on his head, silencing his screaming. Her smile faded as she began panting and dropped to one knee. She clutched her chest. Why was she exhausted again? The labyrinth pattern receded to it's original place. Her panting faded and turned into a groan as she fainted from the exhaustion, just as a light rainfall began.

Curse Mark Applying For: The Cursed Seal of Tempest
How did your RPC receive the curse mark?: I'm still working on this, but I'm probably going to go with the angle that she was given it at birth as an experiment so that she could better protect the main house hold.
Sample: The day was dragging on at an unusually slow pace for some reason, but Hitomi tended to like such lazy days at it meant that she could spend her time reading or perhaps painting something to soothe her mind which had been increasingly clouded and jumbled. She just couldn't understand the reason for it but she tended to just try and keep herself occupied, for the most part trying she was successful but there was the odd slip up and she was lucky that no one was around to see it because she could have been in a lot more trouble than she could have bargained for. But none of this really mattered because today was most certainly not one of those days. Today just so happened to be one of those days that she cursed her luck at having been born into the branch house because the leaf village was under attack and the fighting had spilled over into the main Hyuga branch household. And this meant only one thing for Hitomi...She was duty bound to step in and try to protect them. Something she absolutely hated because it was just one more way in which she was pretty much a slave to them, something which she had pondered upon on many occasions to try and figure a way out of. Hitomi had to thrust such thoughts to the very back of her mind now though, she activated her Byakugan and came flying into the battlefield having already picked out her first target. She came in from the air, having picked the closest possible enemy who just so happened to be attacking one of the main branch family members and she landed on his back which was made possible because she had not been seen coming. She jabbed down into his shoulder with a precise strike that would render his arm useless forcing him to drop his weapon. She then launched herself into the air once more, twisting gracefully and bringing her knee into the mans face knocking him out easily.

She was only panting softly at this point, by all accounts the fight had only just begun and she needed to pace herself. She ran over to the young girl who she had just saved and helped her to her feet, giving her a quick check over to make sure that she was alright before sending her off on her way once more with clear instructions to not stop. To keep running and to tell everyone else to get as far away as they possibly could from the battlefield. She looked around with her powerful eyes for her next opponent, but she just couldn't think clearly. Her mind was beginning to wander once more and she just couldn't think straight no matter how hard she tried. She knew that she couldn't lose it in a place like this but really what other choice did she have? The voices inside her head were beginning to get louder, yelling orders at her, telling her to massacre both friend and foe. The young white haired girl clutched at her head and fell to her knees, which was probably a terrible idea considering she was in the middle of a raging battlefield but she had to try and block them out somehow as she muttered to herself. "No....No....SHUT UP!!!!" She had to get up, she had to fight and protect her family. She forced the voices out of her head for the time being and rose to her feet, her brow knitted with concentration and fierce determination as she charged forwards. If she couldn't give into the voices and the murderous urges that she was feeling then she would just have to refocus them, to aim them directly at her enemy and force her way right into the heart of their attack before tearing it out and showing it to them before they died.

The battle had been raging on for what seemed like forever now, although the young white haired Hyuga girl was currently in no fit state to tell him by all accounts. Her kill streak was rising, her previous aversion to killing had dithered and she was now far happier to just put her enemies out of their misery instead of simply knocking them out and waiting for someone to come and collect them for whatever purpose they would have for them later. As a branch family member no one would exactly blame her, she was just doing her job in protecting the main family after all. She had completely lost count of not only the time but the number of kills she had currently scored also, but the battlefield was currently filled the corpses of the fallen at any rate. A small smirk of satisfaction had actually spread across her lips as she had just located who she was guessing to be the leader of the group. She didn't even try to hide her presence, why would she need to? She wanted to look him in the eye as she fought him. She stood only a few feet away from the man and took up her gentle fist style, practically begging for him to come and try his luck and she was rewarded when she was charged by the man, she dodged his first punch easily enough, locking his arm into place with her left arm before bringing her right up to jab him in one of the more important Tenketsu to help shut off the flow of chakra. But she didn't just do it once, she did it repeatedly to damage the muscles even more then she had to and then she ducked under the jab that he sent her way with his left arm, giggling like a school girl as she was sure he wouldn't be able to hit her.

Hitomi may have been greatly skilled with hand to hand combat, but the fact still remained that she was mentally ill and in a very bad condition right now, which meant that she was making mistakes that she otherwise would not have done. In her distracted state she had not noticed the man bringing his knee up into her stomach even though she could see it perfectly fine because of her Byakugan. It collided with her at some force and knocked the wind out of her, she was then hit with a palm strike to the side of the head and sent flying, skidding through the dirt and rough terrain. She coughed up a small amount of blood and she could see her opponent starting to form several seals, she knew that she had to get up because if she didn't she would die, unable to dodge him without being able to move. She could feel an intense, searing pain erupting from her right hip. Could this all have been caused by that strange mark? The one that she could never figure out the purpose of? It had to be. There was no other explanation. The voices in her head had begun to pick back up too, it was as if the activation of whatever it was also happened to be allowing the symptoms to worsen. "Do it. Stop fighting it. I think you know what you have to do, you have to unleash the power of that mark and then use it to finish off that sorry excuse for a human being. Or do you not want to live on and eventually gain your freedom?" Her face scrunched up slightly in pain and confusion, but for the first time in her life she gave in and let it take over. A trail of vine like patterns began to spread over her skin emanating from her right hip as the beast from within was loosed upon her opponent, her body was covered in these markings soon enough and the voices had increased in volume significantly from being silent whispers and had become a raging tempest of screaming and yelling inside and it could no longer be ignored.

Hitomi got up and willed her body to move, charging off to one side and dodging the great fireball that would have otherwise engulfed her completely. She hissed at the man in a feral manner and took up a defensive stance, she might have been out of her mind right now but whatever the beast was that happened to be willing her to do this she still didn't exactly fancy the idea of dying. She opened her guard a little bit as if to taunt the man and he quickly took the bait, charging forth with another palm strike and she used her now increased accuracy to deflect his blow with one hand, jabbing him with two fingers using the gentle fist style in the arm, but in a different Tenketsu then last time, she then followed up with a jab to the gut and then used her left hand which was no longer needed for deflection to hit him in the throat full force. The man jumped back and was now gasping for air, he was clearly outmatched by a simple genin and this forced her to snarl at him once more, another feral smirk upon her lips. She began to wonder to herself how he expected her to not notice his backup on the way, with her eyes she could see all but she allowed them to come. She wanted them to see what was about to happen next.

The white haired Hyuga girl was no longer listening to a word that was said by any of her enemies. She began giggling and chuckling under her breath as she eyed him. The man had now been surrounded by several others, and he was busy gloating, asking her something about how she planned to fight him now that he wasn't alone. But she couldn't even so much as hear his words now. She held a hand up to silence them as she began to change once more, her skin becoming darker, horns and a third eye growing from her head while her hair grew longer and more feral and finally she had gained two extra arms. This was her second stage curse mark form and it was a true manifestation of the darkness within. The mans so called "back up" ran screaming at the sight of her as she staggered forwards, he struck out at Hitomi but she gripped his arms effortlessly and only grinned as he attempted but failed to struggle free. She had decided to end this quickly and took the stance to use the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms technique while he couldn't move, striking him mercilessly over and over again until she had hit him all sixty four times and his body went limp. He was knocked out but alive...But this was not good enough for her. Not now that he had forced her to such extremes. She lashed out with a palm strike and hit him directly in the heart with a killing blow, finally allowing him to drop to the ground and she began to laugh, which was really more of a cackle, only to stop and begin crying as the curse mark receded and the screams of those below her began to reach her ears, her sanity returning. Anyone who knew her would also know that she hated killing, but mercifully the over use of the curse mark caused her to faint into sweet unconsciousness so that she wouldn't have to deal with the guilt...For now anyway.

((Just to explain...If you're wondering about the voices it's because she suffers from Schizophrenia among other things. And although I haven't completed this character I also only used jutsu that a Chuunin should be capable of using.))
