What were the stories that you fell in love with and felt like the characters were your best friends? or boyfriend or girlfriend? Stories that made you feel like you were also a part of their story and that you suffered along with everyone else? heart
I always felt like that stories that had that much of an impact, carried some sort of deep truth that would touch us on some level. For movies, it was Lord of the Rings and Transformers 1 and 2, and Harry Potter, and Star Trek (the newest one about the alternate realities)
For anime it was, Clannad (both seasons), Dragon Ball Z (Never finished DBGT, I couldn't bare myself to end this one) and Sailor Moon (I never could finish this one either yet... I just couldn't bare to see the journey to end), The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, and I am sure there are many fans that will feel utterly lost when Bleach or Naruto ends. For anime, the list is so long...
I'm not much of a reader, I hate reading, but I pick up a book and feel the same way with it. One of the books I been meaning to revisit but haven't yet was the wheel of time I never got to book 2. And The Banned and the Banished. Couldn't finish book three for that and the glasswrights, I stopped on book two or three for that one too. Harry Potter as well, couldn't bare picking up the 7th book. I decided to watch the movie first for that this time and I been spoiled lots already, which is another factor, but omg crying
The fun part about this is that life is like this too. If you believe in past and future lives. We all came together to create stories like these, some are painful and sad ones and some are awesome and fun ones. Am sure all religions hint something toward this. We all came together to create an awesome story to share later and maybe meet with each other inbetween lives and tell our stories. whee

I've always been an avid reader and gamer and the series of books that always engulfed me was The Dark Tower trilogy by Stephen king, and The Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind. The main games that will always remain my favorites to the end of time are Final Fantasy VI and VII. They had the greatest story lines and the greatest characters out of any games I've ever played really.
Akira will always remain the one anime that engulfed me and made me love anime in the first place.

When it comes to video games, for me I felt really engulfed in the Kingdom Hearts series (haven't played all of them tho just 1 and 2 and sora's mode for CoM. Final Fantasy X/X-2 for me even tho I thought it was stupid at times Never beat them though. Dynasty Warriors series was another I really loved. The only one that really mattered though a lot was Kingdom Hearts I think. Ohs *edits* World of Warcraft and Maple Story also engulfed me pretty well too.
