Is it even possible to have a faith that matters that isn't yours?

My beliefs are mostly based off of the Lutheran faith, but the modern day Church has led me to the conclusion that everyone is corrupt, even the Church.
I also have several problems with the Bible, and there are certain books within it that I discount entirely.
I live an all around good Christian life, no different than most, I just believe in the faith differently.

Am I the only one who gets her question?
Nope, my faith is my own faith, it is what I have deducted from other people's beliefs.

I used to be a Buddhist before I saw that there was real evil in the world, not just human evil, but supernatural evil and it made me turn to God and Jesus. My faith is my own, I have not been told what to believe by anyone. I do research things that I don't agree with in the Bible, and there are things and people I don't believe. I don't have a pick and choose religion, but an exclude and be left with a core faith. To me being faithful to Jesus is more important than being religious.

I suppose unless we've had some kind of supernatural experience/revelation from God himself, which is rather rare, our beliefs came from what we got to know based on other people's experience (things that we either heard or read about). Everyone's beliefs have been influenced by getting to know about other people's beliefs to some extent. So it seems to me there is no such thing as "my own beliefs".

I'm under my umbrella alone... I really don't think Christianity is a "Religion" after all. "Religion" is just the name someone gave it. What goes on between us and God can only be called a relationship. Christians don't have religion. Christianity isn't a technical religion. It's a relationship. (:
