I've been a member of Gaia almost two years now and never asked for gold. Instead, I'll give you some helpful tips on making your own gold without having to beg.
There are many different ways to get gold. Some ways are easier than others. Others give you more of the glittering pictures we call gold.
Here is a list and bried description of the many wonderful ways to make gold:
-1. Daily chance- You have these nice little red carts that appear on every landing page every day. It gives you many things, especially gold. Take advantage of this.
-2. Aquarium- Go to your tank and click on the Overseer, which is a little clam in the tank where your fishes reside. Extra tip: make sure you have fish in it. Otherwise it won't work.
-3. Selling- Sell items you don't like or have no use for. I do all the time. So all that extra ink that you have just sitting in your inventory that you know you won't use? Sell in the marketplace.
-4. Booty grab- Okay, so this can happen a few times a day or within a few day. When you see a person's tank under their post, that's the siggy, and it glows, you can play Booty Grab. Directions are on the opening page before the game starts.
-5. ZOmg- Play ZOmg. Racks up in gold.
-6. Posting- You can get up to 50 gold just by posting. Be active in posting in forums or in guilds. It'll rack up.
