Thanks. I still plan on finishing it.XD Will do. rolleyes Why does everyone think that Silent Hill 2 was that great? It wasn't, it was alright, but it was NOT my favorite, Pyramid Head was cool, but it was too easy, too short, and not enough stuff happened in it. I liked SH2 like I like Dragon Age 2. It was so-so, it wasn't bad, but wasn't great. Which is definitely what sets me off when some people think it defines the series when it really doesn't at all.

I agree with you. :3 Pyramid head was just one of Silent Hill's trademark staples that got fans that wouldn't have otherwise given Silent Hill any time of day, to play the game. Which is what I owe to Silent Hill 2. It brought in a huge fan base that carried the series to their.... some what questionable continuations. BUT. The fact is, the franchise was able to carry itself because of the allure of Silent Hill 2. And that should be the respect we give it and the reason everyone likes it.
However, I don't feel it directly sets the stage for the game series because each new game seemed to take the series in a different direction. Even with the black sheep Silent Hill 4 the Room, there was this HUGE aspect change, but honestly, that can be said about all of the games. So to say that one single game is directly responsible for the definition of the series is irresponsible. The series itself should be substantiated by the individual games, and the series as a whole absolutely should be what defines it. <333
